Duality Theorem

His eyes opened slowly, the familiar scent of hot chocolate and fresh cookies wafting into his room from downstairs. Castor yawned, stretching as he gets out of bed. Reaching beside him, he gently shook yang , running his fingers through her hair, a habit he'd picked up from his mother when uncle Qrow came home after a long while away. As yang began to stir, he rose to his feet and wandered over to the window, opening the blinds just a crack, to let his little sister (even if only by a few days) wake a bit more slowly.

As he headed downstairs, he could hear Taiyang and summer arguing, Apparently they'd heard from raven again..He was suddenly glad he'd made sure yang wouldn't be down here for a bit. As they heard his approach, their argument noticeably cut off as he walked in and began to butter a bit of toast, walking over to hug his mom, and attempt to hug Taiyang. As usual, he didn't return it..Castor sighed and suddenly blurred into motion, using his speed to set places for both yang and little ruby, making sure their plates were piled high with their favorites as he tended to do most mornings...

Thunder crashed...breaking him from his oh so familiar revelry. It had been years ago, yet he couldn't forget that morning...it had started so normally...Just like any other. Slowly he rose from beneath his blanket, and walked out into the hall, faintly, he could hear Tyrions usual manic laughter. god how he wanted to shut him up..Salem wanted him up bright and early, apparently she had his first assignment..As he entered the throne room, Tyrion naturally decided to cause trouble, a small ivory mug flying across the room. Without even glancing at the faunus, the world around him slowed, and the mug practically stopped within inches of his face. Trapped within the space between heartbeats. he reached up, taking it from the air and time began again. Slowing it to such a degree was tiresome, But worth it to see that smug grin wiped off Tyrion's face..

Salem admonished Tyrion briefly, before raising her hand for silence, and shortly lowering it. a silent order for us to take our seats. as natural, i took my place opposite her, a power play, to show her i would be seen as an equal, and nothing less. She naturally understood the intention, and a subtle nod was given, as if to say she respected the gesture. Her tone was smooth, silken..Soothing...perfect for someone as...dangerous as she was...Honeyed words to your ears as her blade found your back...They understood each other, she and he. He focused, listening intently to her command.

"Castor...For five years now you have trained here, under my guidance, against my grim and my generals...You've done far more than simply impress...and have proven yourself to me time and again...These empty seats prove that...Now it is time for you to have your reward. You have spoken time and again on how you have forsaken your old life, your old family. and now, I think its time we gave that some pemanence. You will no longer be Castor Rose..Though the poison analogy is fitting, It holds too much sway over you...No...You shall be given a new name...fitting your status and your goal...You run rivers of blood from my enemies whenever i give the word...so i can think of no more fitting a name, Than...Crimson.
He nodded, His eyes closed in contemplation, he had come to see Salem almost as an aunt in a way. And she was right , this new name was fitting..and carried no ties to his old life...It was time for Castor to disappear...and Crimson to take his place.
