Chapter 5: To soon for the truth?
Rima couldn't remember a time she had been as happy as she had been with her new friends at her new school, she watched as Ikuto playfully fed Amu, Nadeshiko and Utau were discussing Nadeshiko's kimono for her upcoming show, Lulu was creating necklaces and bracelets since she aspired to be a jewelry designer and Yaya was bouncing around clearly haven eaten to much candy.
Rima sighed happily as she watched everyone and silently ate her lunch but… she had a slight problem… Nadeshiko had invited both her and Rito to her upcoming show, Rima knew Nadi would rather want Rito there but she wanted Nadeshiko to fall in love with girl her so that she could stop pretending to be Rito for Nadeshiko.
Rima sighed as she got into the black car of Yua who always picked her up after school.
"What's wrong Rima?" Yua asked.
"Is it wrong of me to want Nadi to stop loving Rito and instead fall in love with me?" Rima asked.
Yua sighed, "You decided to prance around as Rito because you didn't want girls to think you were weird because you prefer to date other girls, this is the weight of that choice you have to carry," Yua said.
Rima sighed, "I know…"
Nagihiko sighed as he sat and did his homework, he looked over at his phone every so often… he didn't know why but Rima-chan seemed kind of out of it lately, almost sad. He was worried about her and not just because she was Rito's sister.
Want to hang out Rima-chan?
Nadeshiko
Rima watched as her phone screen lit up showing she had a text. Nadeshiko wanted to hang out with her? Her and not Rito? Rima grinned and quickly replied yes before she threw her entire closet out to find the perfect outfit.
Rima and Nadeshiko agreed to meet up at the usual café where everyone hanged out, when Rima got there Nadeshiko was already there, a chocolate milkshake for herself and a parfait for Rima having already been ordered and delivered to the table.
"Nadi, sorry I'm late!" Rima apologized as she sat down.
"Not at all Rima-chan, I was actually early. Actually Rima-chan… is something bothering you?" Nadeshiko asked worried, "You seem out of it recently and I'm worried about you."
Rima blushed.
"It's nothing serious please don't worry too much," Rima said.
"You know you can talk to me about anything right Rima-chan?" Nadeshiko asked gently "I can honestly promise I am not just saying that because you are Rito's sister, I've grown rather fond of you and consider you my best friend right now" Nadeshiko said smiling.
"Really?" Rima asked surprised.
"Really!" Nadeshiko said smiling.
"Actually Nadi... there is something I should tell you..." Rima said and looked down at her lap "The thing is... Rito and I... well the thing is..." Rima bit her lip nervously.
"Yes?" Nadeshiko asked gently.
"Rito and I can't be seen together," Rima quickly said "S-so for your recital only Rito will be going... no one is suppose to know that he has a sister you guys were the exceptions" Rima says.
"I am so sorry Rima I never thought of that!" Nadeshiko said horrified. "I mean it does explain why no one else knew Rito has a sister but I didn't think of that when I invited both of you, I'm so sorry!" Nadeshiko said apologetically.
"It's okay, I'll go to the next one," Rima says smiling and Nadeshiko nods.
"Sounds like a plan!" Nadeshiko said smiling.
Rima sighed in relief, she really was not ready to tell Nadeshiko her secret after all so she'd have to work her way around these things for now.
Nagihiko sighed, he wanted Rima to attend the recital as well, he wanted to show Rito how well he got along with his sister and maybe have Rito tell him he would forgive him for anything, tell him the truth and live happily with Rito and Rima for the rest of his life.
Nagihiko sighed, that sounded like an idealistic world even to him but was it wrong of him to dream? Sure he wasn't your average gay boy and he dressed like a girl just so he could be with boys without being ridiculed for being gay but he also only wanted happiness at the end of the day. Someone to love him as much as he loved them.
Nagihiko buried his face in his pillow, he was overthinking things again, sometimes he wished he could be more open gay like Ikuto.
Kimiko: I'm not gonna lie I was tempted to write Rima's confession and have a few chapters of AWKWARDNESS but then my brain said "No Kimi! Its to soon!" so here ya go guys, sorry for the short almost filler like chapter but it's kinda important with Rima not wanting to keep the secret anymore.
Rima: I worry about where your brain is heading with this...
Kimiko: It has free rein on this story teehee XD
