Gwen and Arthur held hands as they explored the forest together. The couple had to admit that somehow the forest seemed nothing like they have ever seen before but in a good way. The leaves and grass were greener, the colours of the flowers were brighter, the trees were taller and the small woodland creatures they walked passed seemed cheerful.

"I can see why you like to take walks here." Gwen tells her husband, squeezing his hand.

Arthur smiles sheepishly, "Well to be honest I never really noticed how beautiful these woods were till today. My mind was occupied by deep thoughts that I barely noticed my surroundings."

"What kind of deep thoughts?" his queen queries, curious about what plagues her husband.

Arthur hesitated answering her. He wasn't sure how his wife would react that he had been seeing a mysterious woman and talking to her about his innermost thoughts among other things. It was not like he purposely met with Layla, it just happens! All of their meetings were purely coincidental! But still, he wasn't sure how to feel if the situation was reversed either especially if their first meeting was anything like the first time he met Layla. He couldn't ponder on it any further though because Gwen had squeezed his hand hard and firm, bringing him back to reality.

"Well?"

Seeing no other way, he told her everything; about the first time he saw her bathing at the waterfall, talking to her about their marriage, about her son, her husband, the fact that she was a witch, that she and her husband was the couple they saw the other night and finally, his questions about the Old Religion. Once Arthur was finally done, the blonde let out a huge sigh of relief, clearly feeling better about the whole thing but still there was his wife's reaction he was worried about.

Warily, he met eye contact with her but he saw nothing to be afraid of. Confused greatly, he cups her face in his hands causing Gwen to smile.

"I am glad you found a friend and someone you confide to. Although I do wish you could have told me those things, I am still glad you could get these things off your chest."

Gwen was an angel Arthur knew but really this was another level; so kind, so understanding, she trusted him and he liked that. He leaned down and kissed her. The beautiful queen consort happily returns it, smiling against his lips. They kissed for a while until they hear a noise that made the couple pull away from each other, startled.

"What was that?" Gwen asks her husband.

Arthur frowns and holds her hands firmly in his until another sound comes which he recognizes this time. He doesn't say anything else and holds his wife's hand tightly as he uses his ears to follow the sound of a boy's laughter, hurrying Gwen along after him.

Myrridin!

The son of Emrys was smiling brightly underneath his hood as he tosses his red ball higher and higher with each toss. The boy was quite proud of himself for being able to catch the ball after each toss. Finally, the boy tosses the ball a little too high and it gets stuck in between two branch of the tree above him causing the small boy of two to pout cutely.

Gwen and Arthur who was watching all this, had successfully located the rather giggly boy and they had to admit the child was rather amusing to watch and so they hid, to continue looking at the small hooded boy. Suddenly, Myrddin does something that surprised the two.

They watched in awe as they saw where the boy's eyes were supposed to be, glow a brilliant gold underneath his hood. Somehow, the boy was levitating the toy ball out of it's spot and slowly back down towards himself causing the boy to grin widely and much to Gwen's confusion, the facial expression seemed oddly familiar but for the life of her, she couldn't understand why. She decides to come closer for a better look which was a big mistake. She steps on a twig causing a loud sound that it caught the small boy to notice. Myrddin wasted no time in getting up, fully intent on running away but Arthur got out his waiting spot quickly to stop him.

"No please Myriddin!"

The boy freezes and cautiously turns around ever so slowly to face his Uncle Arthur, he silently thanked the Triple Goddess that he wore his hooded cloak today as Arthur looked over at him. From the corner of his eye, the small boy notices Gwen coming toward her husband, looking at him curiously. Myrddin bows respectfully like his mother had taught him and asks politely what did the king and queen want with him.

The two royals were surprised by the small boy's sudden change of demeanour but Arthur decides to let it go, the boy intrigued him just like his mother and he was intent on getting to know the small child, "Do you remember me?"

The boy nods, his head still bowed and Gwen gives him permission to straighten his back again.

"Where's Layla?" asks the blonde king, immensely curious on the whereabouts of the boy's mother because he has noticed previously that the woman did not like her son to be near Arthur for very long.

"She's nearby" the boy answers, silently hoping his mother will come looking for him soon. He was afraid he was going to blurt something out and upset his mother in the process like yesterday. Gwen comes closer much to the child's obliviousness because he was silent panicking on the inside. She reaches out to touch him, comforthim but Myriddin had snapped out of his reverie just in time to push her away. He shook terribly, worried.

"Why are you nervous?" Gwen asks softly, seeing how anxious the child was.

"I am a warlock. I could hurt you without meaning to and I'm not even three...my magic is raw and unstable..tied to my emotions and gosh please please just leave before something happens.."

Arthur frowns, disbelieving his words, "You seem like a sweet kid I doubt you'll do anything you wouldn't mean to. Surely you-"

"I'm a kid… I can't control my emotions or my powers yet milord..."

Gwen felt really bad, the poor child was intimidated by them, "Please don't be frightened. We just-"

"Can you blame him?" Two people he doesn't know is cornering him." interrupts a very upset mother.

Gwen turns to see a woman dressed in a dark midnight blue fitted gown and a black hooded cloak like Myriddin's. The mysterious woman's lips were set in a tight frown, obviously not happy with what she was seeing.

"Mama!"

"Come here Myriddin."

The boy didn't need to be told twice, he ran to his mother as quickly as his small legs could take him. He hides behind his mother, peeking at the royal couple who was looking at Layla. Gwen was the first to react, she comes closer and smiles politely, "I'm Gwen, thank you for being there for my husband."

The witch frowns even more at her words before tilting her head at her, wondering what the hell was going on but decides to go along with it. She didn't have the patience or the energy to deal with this right now.

"Your welcome, now excuse me but my child and I have things we need to do."

Just like yesterday, she drags her son away but this time, he doesn't say bye and Arthur couldn't help but feel sad about that, thinking he had upset the small child.

Myriddin...
