Kagome blinked as he pulled away from her slightly. "So, you have?" She asked incredulously. She couldn't imagine the taiyoukai harboring ardent feelings for anyone in a romantic way.

"I did not say that either." He replied and watched with a bemused expression as her face contorted into a mask of confusion.

"But…" Her brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"

His lips tilted into a smirk. "I think you will have to find out, Kagome."

She inhaled sharply when her name rolled off his tongue in a silky way. The mere sound of it made butterflies swarm in her stomach.
