A.N. Really sorry for not updating sooner, I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am, though hopefully an update will make it better...no? are you sure? well let's try anyway. Now I am going through the reviews and am going to reply to those that occurred within this year, even if they weren't for the last chapter.

chatterboss: I am glad to know that you like the story, I will be sure to finish it, even though there may be long breaks in between chapters.

Miroir Twin: Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, though if you don't like the story, 1) why did you read it 2) why did you review to it?

Guest: Don't really know who you are but thanks for taking time from your schedule to review, and I will be sure to include more DoreneXDarren in the future, (with a bit of humor in the mix "hint hint Debbie")

annieshan: thanks, this story does hold a special spot for me since it was my first posted on the site, and I am so happy to see that people are enjoying it as much as I am.

Disclaimer: Cirque du Freak in all of its glory doesn't belong to me.

Chapter 47

*Dorene's POV*

Out of all the vampires that could've been the third hunter this surprised me. I couldn't even say anything as he practically appeared out of nowhere, saving Darren from the Vampet that he for some reason was going to spare. I couldn't help but sigh, granted he would be a great ally for both Darren and Mr. Crepsley, it's just now we had to travel with a green haired, purple dyed pelt wearing vampire that would make this group stick out like a sore thumb. As if we didn't already.

That night supper was quite interesting and Vancha before falling alseep, had told Darren to wake him up the next day early, I knew what he was getting at, having spent a good amount of time I n the mountain while he was there. Though in actuality I was quite sure Darren was unaware of just how sealy Vancha meant when he wanted Darren to wake him up.

...

The next day quite a few hours before the sun would set, thought about the time that Vancha would be waking up I sat up at my spot and noticed that Darren had yet to wake up and Vancha was sill snoring, almost putting Gavner's snores to shame. I quickly shook myself of all thoughts of gander not wanting to break down crying again as I went to Vancha and shook him awake.

" Vancha, sun's still up if ya feel up to your battle with the vampires enemy." I shook him again as the green haired vampire groaned and turned, cracking one of his eyes open and looking at me he then looked just behind me and stifled a laugh.

"I thought I told the boy to wake me up." I stated as he sat up, I looked to the sleeping Darren watching his chest rise and fall and tracing the outline of his newly defined muscles with my eyes, when I felt eyes watching me from behind I realized to late that Vancha had just caught me staring.

I could feel a heat rising to my cheeks and had no doubt that my cheeks were a bright red, embarrassed blush. I shook my head and turned back to Vancha unsure of whether or not I still had blush on my cheeks. By the way that Vancha ' s shoulders shook I knew that he was fighting to contain his laughter and that was all I needed in order to know that I neither still had a crimson shade to my cheeks or they had just gained a new coloring of blush.

I sighed and stood, stalking off to the clearing, just within the sun's rays, Vancha coming to a stop directly under the sun's harsh rays as his skin absorbed as much of the unrelenting rays as possible. It was silent for awhile, until finally, without turning to look at me Vancha broke that calm silence.

"So you like the boy do ya?" I jumped up ready to defend my case and deny any causation when it dawned on me that anything I said would just be stupid and do nothing for my case. I lowered my head in defeat and gave a slight nod. "That odvious huh?" He laughed and I slightly flinched, out of all the reactions I was expecting this one was not among them. "Just don't tell him."

Another laugh, but before he could give a reply to my demand footsteps approached from where we had been sleeping and Darren entered the clearing. To say he was shocked was an understatment as he raced to VVancha's side. "What are you doing, you're going to burn in the sun!" Vancha allowed Darren to lead him back to the shading as I followed behind them.

Ba k where everyone else was, Mr. Crepsley was awake and packing along with Harkat, Mia on the other hand was srill sleeping, and almost seemed to be having a bad dream as she tossed and turned, face scrunched up as she mumbled and clawed at the ground. I slowly made my way over and lightly shook her shoulder, when her eyes first open I thought for a second that they were a bright red though when I blinked they were back to their soft light green and she was staring at me with wide eyes. In the end I just shrugged the red off as I trick of the light, as I helped her pack up her own things.

With camp packed away and the sun finally below the horizon we finally set off towards Evanna's caves, a person who I had only heard about from Gavner and just recently from Mr. Crepsley.

*Mia's POV *

I don't really know how long we had been walking, but after what felt like forever we finally stopped in a thick throng of trees. I looked around expecting some kind of cave or mystic woman to appear to guide us into her home but all I was met with was nothing. In the back of my head it almost seemed like a voice was telling me that something was there, I just wasn't looking hard enough. Then Darren had asked where the home of the infamous Lady Evanna was and Mr. Crepsley said almost the same thing that I had thought, we just weren't mooring hard enough.

I focused and the area in front of me and with a bit of squinting it almost seemed as though a fog had dispersed and almost instantly the area was filled with the sound of croaking frogs. I covered my ears against the noise yet oddly enough I was still able to hear the voice of someone new and a figure began making their way towards us.

"Ugh, always filthy vampires, why can't any handsome men find their way to my home?" I looked at the figure and almost gaped at them as they came to a stop before us. They were infact quite large in build and had thick curly hair and oddly enough a bear, making my wonder how Trust and the cirque were doing, though what I found the most shook in were their clothes which were nothing but ropes tied around their body, covering g what needed to be covered, though leaving nothing to the imagination.

I was glad at this point that I was still mute, because I would've made the mistake and going against Mr. Crepsley's warning and used the 'W' word that the orange haired vampire had warned against using at all costs. Than almost as if mak ok ng up for my inability or trying to fill the silent e Darren did the very thing that I was glad to be unable to make the mistake of doing, directly asking them if they were a witch.

I gaped and after she seemed to take it well she led us toward her house, though not before giving Mr. Crepsley a gift in the form of the vampire woman who had died during the fight against the Vampaneze that Darren explained to me had been a sort of wife to the his mentor. I stared at the image then at Mr. Crepsley's back noticing how his shoulder shook with what could only be tears and sobs.

Evanna quickly ushered us into her house and offered us a meal of vegetables, herbs and berries (my kind of meal) then when Mr. Crepsley came back in to join us, they discussed on the next plan of action and quickly the decision was made to return to the Cirque du Freak even if just for a little while.
