It's insane because I was just poured on with lots of school and now when I checked my profile, I couldn't find ANYTHING and I was like "Oh come on, ! I updated that right on the freakin date! Ughh! It's insane I had to rewrite everything and now, I'm stumped with work. Hatin it so far. Who has seen The Maze Runner though? It's so FREAKING AWESOME, I CAN'T GET OVER IT! But the book was a bit better in my opinion. So hey! I want you to write in the comments below if you have read the book, which do you think is better? The book or the movie? I'd love to hear your answers and maybe, I'll be doing a maze runner fanfiction soon if my writer's block dissipates any moment now. :))) soo, this is getting long, I present to you, the next rewritten chappie!
~*~ I do NOT own "Rise of the Guardians", "Brave", "How to Train Your Dragon", and "Tangled".
~*~ Chapter 6 ~*~
Dust had settled in Merida's eyes and made them water slightly. She had to blink a couple of times to get rid of the stupid particles. Hiccup slid down beside her, pulling Toothless close to him as the creature in the shadows roared once more, the place seeming to rumble under their very feet.
"Mor'du…" Merida sucked in a breath, staring back at the eye. Hiccup looked around for anything else. Nothing.
'Great. We're stuck in this place with a thing that is probably really terrifying. Pain, love it!' Hiccup almost rolled his eyes for the umpteenth time since they all met if it weren't for the third roar from the animal and before they could see it coming, it had charged in front of them.
Toothless only knew that Hiccup and Merida were his friends. The creature before them turned out to be a large black bear dotted with arrows and spears of possibly the fallen warriors it has killed. The moment it charged, everything seemed to be in slow motion.
With a roar of his own, Toothless removed himself from Hiccup's grasp and with wings outstretched, swooped over, knocking Mor'du to the side, clawing at its throat. How dare it hurt his best friends?
Mor'du used his hind legs, pushing Toothless off him and brings his claws down on the reptile's arm, barely cutting anything for dragon scales are very hard to break. Toothless shoots his tail back at Mor'du who barely has time to dodge, hitting the bear square in the face, sending it staggering back, enraged.
Merida loaded her bow and aimed. She couldn't let Mor'du hurt anyone. Her arrows might be useless against the monster before her but it could distract Mor'du and give Toothless and Hiccup a chance to attack while it's not looking. She let the arrow fly, right into Mor'du's thick flesh and fur. Merida wasn't so surprised when it did nothing to the animal but to her satisfaction, the head turned to her, the white eye staring at hers as it charges.
Hiccup dashes to Toothless and mounts the dragon, sending it up in the air once more creating a fireball and flinging it towards Mor'du. The bear, already advancing towards Merida, turned to them and only then did Hiccup realize.
This frickin' bear is indestructible.
Mor'du charged again before Merida could even think everything through, its mighty arm coming down to scratch at her shoulder if it weren't for instincts in her gut which made her to jump away, loading her bow. 'It's gotta 'ave a weak spot righ'? How hard can it be if we shot it do'own thaer?'
Hiccup moved quickly, mounting onto Toothless and rising into the air, scanning anything they could use. The walls were no use at all except for the small crevices in the rocks…
'That's it!' Hiccup turned to Merida, yelling at her while dodging a small swipe from the claws of their enemy who was taking turns clawing and trying to bring either of them down first.
"Push him to the corner! I have an idea!" His hands cupped his mouth, screaming so they could hear over the roaring of Mor'du and Merida nodded, giving a thumbs up. Her arrow flew through the air, striking at Mor'du who turned to her in annoyance.
"Hey you! I'm over 'ere!" she flailed her arms around, trying to get attention and when Mor'du faced her, she stared running to the corner she knew Hiccup wanted her to go.
Thundering footsteps raced after her, slamming down on the ground and jolting it as if an earthquake were in motion. Merida picked up pace, ignoring the burning feeling in her side and the pain shooting from her exhausted legs as she dashed to the corner.
Mor'du's hand shoots out, barely missing her back by inches but the force strong enough to make her topple slightly and yelp, stumbling to the ground as Mor'du towered above her. His one eye bore in her blue ones, filling with anger, hatred or maybe hunger. It was hard to tell with the dead one eye, actually.
Merida gasped and desperately crawled away from Mor'du who on the other hand was confident that he had his prey right in the corner. Merida's blue eyes search, landing on a small knife that Hiccup possibly dropped, glancing briefly at it then back at Mor'du.
Suddenly, she leapt towards the knife, her hands reaching for it but Mor'du was quick and Merida found her skirt pinned to the floor with a huge claw and the bear moving towards her. Her hand reached for the knife, only mere inches away and Mor'du roared, feeling victorious.
The mighty bear came down slowly, teeth ready to plunge into the princess' neck when Merida manages to grab the knife and with a swift movement of her arm, she plunges it into the eye of her enemy.
Blood gushes from the wound and Mor'du howls in pain, releasing her and backing away, his back hitting the wall as he clutched his knife-pierced eye in his furry paws, feeling the liquid of life trickling down to his hands. Hiccup wasted no time in making Toothless shoot a ball of blue flame into the fragile looking part of the wall, making it explode slightly. Rubble and debris came crashing down onto the mighty bear who wailed so hard in agony it never noticed the rocks until they came raining down and flattened him in his own blood.
Thus, the indestructible bear, Mo'du, was no more.
~*~ Yikes! I know this is really short but I had to cut this so you wouldn't have to wait too long because I'll be rewriting the next chapter which focuses on the other side of the wall with Pitch, Gothel and Jack, and Rapunzel and Lillith. Be ready to drown in feels and drama though! Secrets will be revealed later on. Also, I need your say. Should I make a Maze Runner fanfic and should I post this thing on Wattpad because based on your comments, I'm so sorry if this came late but you seem to be liking it so far and I'm so happy for that, thank you so much! Leave your comments below, and I will read it and maybe I'll say something back! My twitter name is daneriva for those who are interested, I'll follow back and tweet and give shoutouts the best I can and, I will see you soon in the next chappie! Love ya'll! :****
