Chapter 48
She'd ended up spending the night in Storks room. His form of conversation was more like storytelling and she'd soon found herself drifting off to sleep.
He'd obviously not had the heart to move her, so when she woke, she was surprised to find herself slumped over his desk with a blanket over her shoulders, using her arms as a pillow.
He was nowhere to be seen but that didn't mean she was alone.
Floating beside her and gazing down at her was a spectre, lit in a purple haze. She jumped back and slipped off the chair in fright, the blanket slipping from her shoulders.
When she sat up, her eyes quickly taking in her surroundings, the creature was nowhere to be seen.
She rolled from her knees to her feet and sprinted from the room to The Bridge, screaming for Stork.
"There was a ghost in your room!" she screamed at him
"What?!" he screamed back in shock, then turned an accusing eye on her "This is all your fault!"
"How is it my fault?! All I did was fall asleep!"
"What were you doing in Stork's room?" Junko asked innocently
"I spent the night there! But that's not the point!"
"You spent the night?" Finn asked suggestively
"Not like you think gutter brain!" she shot at him as the others chuckled and giggled, Stork not included.
"Okay, calm down everyone. What did this "Ghost" look like?" Aerrow directed at her
"Well, it was female, had long hair and was purple in colour"
"That sounds like the Oracle!" Aerrow stated "Where is she now? Is she still in Storks room?"
"I don't know" Blinx admitted sheepishly "I kinda fell and she disappeared"
"That's okay, we know she's here. It just means our job now is a little more difficult" Aerrow told them all "Which is why, last night, I decided to make a call to the nearest Terra; Blizzaris"
"That's the nearest Terra?" Finn asked sarcastically "I thought the nearest Terra was Amazonia"
"It is" Piper stated sarcastically
Aerrow smiled awkwardly "Well, I figured it would be better for Blinx if someone we knew were to go in with us"
"'Go in with us'" Piper echoed "Aerrow, they'll bring the whole mountain down with their hollering!"
"Well, we'll try not to holler so loud then, eh?" a Canadian sounding voice rang out from behind the group. Blinx couldn't even try to hide the smile on her face.
