Chapter 26: The Fighting Dojo!
A loud ringing noise went off causing Kite to wake up and hit the snooze button on the alarm clock. Daisuke awoke from his sleep and then took a shower and headed down to the Pokemon Center lobby where he saw Green dressed and ready to go.
"Good morning Daisuke" Green smiled as Daisuke walk towards her and sat at the table she was sitting at.
"Good morning" Daisuke said as he yawned.
"So what plans do you have today?" Daisuke asked Green after he yawned.
"Just some more shopping, or maybe go to a movie, or maybe go to the park!" Green continued suggesting many ideas.
"Oh wow you definitely have enough stuff to keep you busy all day" Daisuke said.
"Yes, do you want go with me?" Green asked Daisuke.
"Well I would love to but I believe that Kite and I were going to go to the fighting dojo and train for our gym battle tomorrow" Daisuke explained to Green.
"Oh well that's fine then" Green smiled.
"Why don't you go with us" Daisuke suggested.
"No, I think I would get bored to quickly" Green explained.
"Oh, well don't you think you should train your Bulbasaur a bit" Daisuke said.
"I don't mind, I like my Bulby just the way he is" Green smiled.
"I see, well that is good then" Daisuke smiled, just then Kite walked up to them and sat with them.
"Sup guys" Kite said as he sat down.
"Just getting ready to have some fun" Green laughed.
"Lots of plans?" Kite asked.
"Just a little" Green smiled.
"Well I think I am going to go to the fighting dojo right now" Kite said.
"Right now? You just woke up, and how do you know anybody is there?" Daisuke questioned.
"Let's just go" Kite said quickly.
"Alright well can I eat some breakfast first?" Daisuke asked.
"I guess" Kite said.
The trio ate breakfast and then fed their pokemon some breakfast as well. The group then got up and ready to leave.
"Oh I almost forgot I need to make some changes to my team" Kite said.
Kite went up to the computer and contacted Prof. Oak, "Hey Prof. Oak can you send me Poliwag and I will send you Gyarados" Kite quickly said.
"Do you realize how early it is? But yes I will send them to you" Prof. Oak said as he yawned.
"Well I just figured you would be up this early" Kite stated.
"I am a professor I get up when I please" Prof. Oak explained.
Both Kite and Prof. Oak placed the poke balls in the designated spot and the transfer was made.
"Hey don't get to friendly with him though I plan on getting him back" Kite stated.
"Well if it is anything like any other Gyarados then hopefully you will get him back soon" Prof. Oak chuckled.
The two hanged their phones up and the trio walked out of the Pokemon Center.
"Alright well I will see you guys later, I will head to the fighting dojo once I am done shopping" Green smiled and ran off towards the shopping area.
"Alright man let's go train, we have a gym battle tomorrow" Kite said excited.
Daisuke and Kite walked into the fighting dojo, the dojo looked like any other dojo with one big room with many fighting mats placed all over the dojo.
"Hello there, I am the sensei of this dojo, just call me sensei" The sensei explained as he walked up to the two. The sensei looked middle aged with short black hair and what appeared to be a five o'clock shadow, he wore a karate uniform with a black belt.
"Hello, I am Kite and this is Daisuke, we are here to train our pokemon" Kite explained.
"I see, well just pick a place and you too can train with one and other" The sensei continued.
"Can I have a battle with you?" Kite questioned.
"I am afraid I cannot, you have yet to show me you are worthy enough" The sensei stated.
"Well how do we prove our worth?" Daisuke quickly stepped forward.
"That is for you to figure out" The sensei said, the two just looked at the sensei until Kite noticed something in the far corner of the dojo.
"Hey what is that over there?" Kite pointed over to a strange pokemon with boxing gloves punching the mat.
"Oh that is Hitmonchan" The sensei explained.
"Is he your pokemon?" Daisuke questioned.
"He is not, his trainer abandoned him last week because he lost to Sabrina and he has been here ever since training to get stronger" The sensei explained.
"Abandoning a pokemon because it is week, that is just wrong" Daisuke stated.
"Yes that is very wrong" Kite said as he walked towards the pokemon.
"So you lost to Sabrina" Kite said towards Hitmonchan who stopped punching the bag and then looked at Kite.
Kite then punched Hitmonchan right in the face, "Kite! What are you doing?" The sensei shouted as he started to head towards Kite.
"Stop" Daisuke said as he stopped the sensei, "He is testing Hitmonchan" Daisuke explained.
Hitmonchan then swung towards Kite but Kite dodged out of the way, Hitmonchan continued to punch towards Kite but Kite dodged each of them.
"Is that all you got" Kite smirked, just then Hitmonchan with great forced punched Kite right in the face knocking Kite down. Kite stood back up and holded his hand out towards Hitmonchan.
"Let's get strong together" Kite said with is hand out towards Hitmonchan. Hitmonchan stared at Kite until he finally shook Kite's hand.
"Hitmonchan" Hitmonchan said as him and Kite bumped fist.
"Wow he already has a liking towards you" The sensei stated.
"Nice you got another pokemon, a strong one at that" Daisuke said.
"Yes that is very nice" A mysterious voice laughed.
The group turned to see who was standing at the entrance.
"Reed!" Kite said.
"You again?" The sensei scorned.
"You know him?" Daisuke questioned.
"Yes he is the trainer who abandoned Hitmonchan" The sensei said.
"What?!" Kite shouted.
"That is right, he cost me the fight against Sabrina so I had to let him go. I have no room for weaklings in my team" Reed smirked.
Kite looked at Reed angrily, "Where is Trevor?" Daisuke asked.
"Battling with Sabrina" Reed stated.
"What? I thought she wasn't accepting challengers until tomorrow?" Kite questioned.
"No, the reason she told you tomorrow was because she is battling with Trevor and I today" Reed explained.
"I already won my badge" Reed continued as he showed the group his badge.
"Then why are you here?" Daisuke questioned.
"Because I came to have my battle with Kite" Reed said.
"Good, I am going to beat you for what you did to Hitmonchan" Kite shouted.
"Then bring it on" Reed said.
The two trainers took their respected sides, "This will be a 3 on 3 battle between Reed and Kite, the first one to knock out their opponent's pokemon first will be victorious" The sensei shouted.
"Go Sandslash" Reed shouted as Sandslash appeared.
"Go Wartortle" Kite shouted as Wartortle appeared.
"Let the battle begin" the sensei shouted.
"I'll go first, Sandslash use fury cutter" Reed shouted.
Sandslash's claws grew much larger and glowed a bright red, Sandslash began slashing towards Wartortle.
"Wartortle dodge each of the slashes, then use rapid spin in combination with aqua tail" Kite commanded, Wartortle dodged each of the slashes and then started to spin rapidly with his tail surrounded by spiraling water. Wartortle slammed his tail into Sandslash's face causing Sandslash to fly backwards.
"Now I will show you a new move we learned, Wartortle use water pulse" Kite commanded. Wartortle formed a ball of water in his hands and then threw it towards Sandslash, the ball hit Sandslash in the chest and then turned into a large wave of water causing Sandslash to be fly backwards soaked and fainted.
"Sandslash is unable to battle, therefore the victor is Wartortle" the sensie shouted.
"Darn, Sandslash return. No big deal, Nidorino go!" Reed shouted as Nidorino appeared on the field.
"Nidorino use horn attack" Reed commanded, Nidorino charged towards Wartortle and started to attack rapidly with his horn.
"Wartortle grab Nidorino's horn" Kite commanded, Wartortle grabbed Nidorino's horn and stopped the attack.
"What?!" Reed shouted in shock.
"Now use water pulse!" Kite shouted, Wartortle formed a ball of water in his other hand and struck Nidorino in the face bursting the ball of water into a large wave washing Nidorino away fainted.
"Nidorino is unable to battle, victory goes to Wartortle" the sensei shouted.
"Ha looks like I am winning 3 to 1" Kite smirked.
"Well my last pokemon is probably my strongest, the one who single handedly beat Sabrina" Reed bragged.
"Single handedly?" Daisuke said shocked.
"Go Hitmonlee!" Reed shouted as Hitmonlee appeared.
"Hitmonlee!" Kite shouted shocked and looked towards the observing Hitmonchan who was standing next to Kite.
"That is right, after I got rid of that weak Hitmonchan, I obtained Hitmonlee and easily won my battle against Sabrina" Reed smirked and then laughed.
"Wartortle are you good?" Kite questioned his pokemon.
"Wartortle!" Wartortle nodded.
"Kite be careful, that Hitmonlee looks tough" Daisuke warned.
"I got you" Kite said.
"Hitmonlee use double kick" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee charged towards Wartortle kicking at the pokemon.
"Wartortle dodge and then use…" Kite was interrupted by his Wartortle getting kicked hard in the face and flying backwards.
"Wartortle quick use water pulse" Kite commanded, Wartortle shot up and then formed a large ball of water in his hands and threw it at Hitmonlee.
"Hitmonlee kick the ball of water" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee kicked the ball of water causing it to explode it a large wave causing it to rain for a second.
"What? He stopped the attack" Kite thought to himself.
"Wartortle use rapid spin" Kite commanded, Wartortle withdrew into his shell and rapidly spun towards Hitmonlee.
"Now use aqua tail" Kite continued, Wartortle shot out of his shell and used the momentum to swing his water covered tail at Hitmonlee.
"Hitmonlee use double kick to counter" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee kicked Wartortle's aqua tail causing the attack to cancel, Hitmonlee then kicked Wartortle in the face causing him to fly backwards.
"Now end this with jump kick" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee ran towards Wartortle as he was trying to get up. Hitmonlee jumped in the air and kicked Wartortle in the face causing him to fly backwards fainted.
"Wartortle is unable to battle, victory goes to Hitmonlee" the sensei shouted.
"How did you like that?" Reed gloated as Kite recalled Wartortle.
"Good job Wartortle, go Pikachu!" Kite shouted as Pikachu appeared.
"Pikachu use quick attack" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot towards Hitmonlee at lightning speed.
"Hitmonlee counter with double kick" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee stood awaiting Pikachu.
"Quick Pikachu now use volt tackle" Kite commanded, just then Pikachu was surrounded by and electrical force and only Pikachu's black outline could be seen. Pikachu slammed into Hitmonlee's chest.
"What the?" Reed said shocked.
"Now Pikachu use iron tail" Kite quickly commanded, Pikachu's tail turned into steel and Pikachu then flipped and slammed his steel tail into Hitmonlee's face smashing him into the ground.
"Hitmonlee!" Reed shouted in dismay.
"Now Pikachu use thunderbolt" Kite commanded, Pikachu jumped into the air and started to charge electricity.
Just before Pikachu shot his bolt, Hitmonlee suddenly appeared in front of Pikachu.
"What? That was fast!" Daisuke shouted shocked.
"Now use double kick" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee then kicked Pikachu in the stomach and then followed with a kick to the face and sent him flying backwards.
"Now use jump kick, but kick him into the ceiling" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee then continued towards Pikachu. Hitmonlee then jumped into the air and kicked the flying Pikachu upwards into the ceiling.
"Pikachu!" Kite shouted in dismay as Pikachu fell to the ground fainted.
"Pikachu is unable to battle, therefore the victor is Hitmonlee" the sensei shouted.
"Now it is 1 to 1" Reed gloated as Kite recalled Pikachu.
"Good try Pikachu, alright let's go Hitmonchan!" Kite shouted and turned towards Hitmonchan who was observing the battle.
Hitmonchan looked shocked but then entered the battlefield.
"Do you plan on losing?" Reed questioned.
"Not at all" Kite replied as he looked at his pokedex.
"Alright these are some cool moves, but just start off with fire punch" Kite commanded, Hitmonchan fist caught on fire and then he charged towards Hitmonlee.
"Hitmonlee use double kick" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee's first kick collided with Hitmonchan's fiery fist. Hitmonlee's second kick hit Hitmonchan in the stomach sending him backwards.
"Hitmonchan quick get up and then use thunder punch but combo it with fire punch" Kite commanded, Hitmonchan's right fist was fire and his left fist was electricity and charged towards Hitmonlee.
Hitmonchan started to rapidly punch at Hitmonlee who was dodging each of Hitmonchan's punches.
"Hitmonlee duck and then use double kick" Reed commanded. Just as Hitmonchan swung his right fist, Hitmonlee duck avoiding the attack and then kicking Hitmonchan in the knee to stop the barrage of punches and then Hitmonlee upper kicked Hitmonchan in the jaw causing him to fly backwards.
"Hitmonlee use jump kick" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee ran towards Hitmonchan and jumped into the air about to kick Hitmonchan.
"Quick Hitmonchan use ice punch" Kite commanded, Hitmonchan's right fist glowed a bluish color. Hitmonlee's kick collided with Hitmonchan's fist however, Hitmonchan's ice punched caused Hitmonlee's foot to be frozen.
"He can't kick, quick use fire punch" Kite commanded, Hitmonchan's right fist burst into flames and he punched Hitmonlee in the face.
"Now thunder punch" Kite continued, Hitmonchan's left fist burst with electricity and he again punched Hitmonlee in the face.
"Again and again" Kite continued, Hitmonchan continued to punch Hitmonlee with his fire fist and thunder fist.
"Now end it with Sky Uppercut!" Kite shouted, Hitmonchan's fist glowed a bright bluish white and uppercutted Hitmonlee causing him to fly into the ceiling and fall back onto the ground.
"Did we win?" Kite wondered as dust filled over where Hitmonlee landed.
Reed just smirked as Hitmonlee shot out of the dust towards Hitmonchan, "Now Hitmonlee you end this with Hi Jump Kick!" Reed commanded, Hitmonlee jumped even higher in the air using all of his momentum and force to kick Hitmonchan in the face causing him to fly into the dojo wall behind Kite.
"Hitmonchan!" Kite shouted as he ran towards the injured pokemon.
"Hitmonchan is unable to battle, therefore the victor is Reed" the sensei barely said as he was too concerned for Hitmonchan.
"I told you I was going to win and I told you that thing was weak" Reed laughed and walked towards the exit.
"You son of a…" Kite started to say as he ran towards Reed but was stopped by the sensei.
"Don't worry about him and just get Hitmonchan to the Pokemon Center" the sensei said.
Both Kite and Daisuke help Hitmonchan up.
"Eat some lunch why you are there and when you get back we will have our pokemon battle" the sensei told Kite as he walked out door.
"Alright sweet, let's get Hitmonchan to the Pokemon Center fast" Kite told Daisuke.
"Got it" Daisuke replied.
