Chapter 30: Snorlax Attacks!
"Alright, next stop Fuschia City!" Kite shouted as the trio left the Pokemon Center.
"Good let's get going this town is creepy" Green said.
"It's just Lavender town" Daisuke said.
"Yea but I heard that it is haunted" Green said.
"That is just a myth" Kite assured.
"Oh but it is not a myth" A mysterious old lady came up to the group.
"What?" Daisuke questioned.
"The pokemon tower is very haunted, people haven't been in it for years" the old lady said as she laughed creepily as she walked away.
"I told you guys!" Green shouted.
"She is just pulling your leg, hey mister" Kite shouted as he called over some random guy.
"Is the pokemon tower haunted? That old lady over there told us it was" Kite said pointing in the direction of the old lady.
"What old lady?" the guy questioned.
"She was just there, that is weird" Kite said.
"All I know is that the pokemon tower is only open during the day but is rarely used anymore" the guy said as he walked off.
"Well we should probably get going anyways" Green said as she rushed the group.
"Hey I almost forgot, we got these in the mail today" Daisuke said handing Kite a package.
"What is it?" Kite questioned as he ripped open the package. Kite revealed a device that was a red box with a blue poke ball picture in the center.
"The note says, I have been trying to get you guys these since I heard you were heading towards Saffron. Anyways these are attachments for your Pokedex, you can now transfer pokemon to and from my lab anywhere you are. Just follow the directions. Thanks, Professor Oak" Daisuke read the note aloud.
"I see that is tight" Kite said as he attached the device to his Pokedex, Kite selected the new app on his Pokedex. The screen showed all of Kite's pokemon that are at Professor Oak's lab.
"Wow I just pick the pokemon I want, then the Professor will get a notification after that I place the pokeball on this slot and transfer my pokemon and the Professor should eventually transfer the new one" Kite said with excitement.
"That is pretty neat, too bad I don't have any Pokemon at his lab" Daisuke said.
"Yea you can't catch pokemon like me" Kite bragged.
"Too bad you can't win gym battles like me" Daisuke commented.
"I have the same amount of badges as you do" Kite stated.
"But I have won all my gym battles the first time" Daisuke stated.
"I can't tell if you two are joking or being serious" Green interrupted.
"Alright we just have to cross this bridge known as the 'Silent Bridge'" Daisuke said in a creepy manner.
"Don't say it like that!" Green said hitting Daisuke in the arm.
Just then the group noticed a large crowd of people surrounding the entrance of the bridge that leads to Fuschia City.
"What is going on?" Kite questioned as the trio approached the crowd.
"There is blockage on the bridge" a trainer said.
The trio made their way to the front where they noticed a large fat green looking pokemon.
"Snorlax, a sleeping pokemon, Snorlax only wakes to eat" the pokedex said.
"Wakes only to eat?" Kite questioned.
"That's right" a mysterious voice said.
"Red?" Kite said.
"I figured you would already have defeated the Fuschia Gym leader" Green said.
"Well I was but I decided that I want to capture this Snorlax instead" Red said.
"Also it is blocking many trainers from reaching Fuschia City" Red continued.
"Can't they just climb over the Snorlax?" Kite questioned.
"Usually yes, but you see this Snorlax for some reason gets very aggressive when you try to climb on its belly" Red said.
"What about going around the bridge?" Green questioned.
"Because some trainers can't swim all that way and besides you need a strong water pokemon that can carry people" Red said a little impatient.
"Oh" Green said.
"Anyways we have a way to wake up the Snorlax" Red stated.
"How is that?" Kite asked.
"The poke-flute" Red answered.
"The poke-flute?" Kite questioned again.
"I've heard about it! It is a special flute used to wake sleeping pokemon" Daisuke explained.
"And it is the only thing that can awake a Snorlax" Red added.
"Well where is it?" Kite questioned.
"I have it right here, the only problem is I can't play it. I have been waiting for you though" Red stated.
"Me?" Kite asked.
"No my sister!" Red stated.
"You see this poke-flute belongs to my family and I know for a fact that mom made Green play it all the time when she was little" Red continued.
"Now hurry up and play it so I can catch the Snorlax and be on my way" Red stated.
"I don't know how to play it though" Green said.
"I know you do! All these trainers are waiting to move on so hurry!" Red continued impatiently.
"I refuse!" Green shouted as she ran off back towards Lavender town.
"Wait Green!" Kite and Daisuke shouted running after her.
"Green" Kite said as the two caught up to her.
"What?" Green said angrily.
"What's wrong?" Daisuke said calmly.
"I'm sorry, it's just I hate that flute!" Green shouted angrily.
"Why is that?" Kite questioned.
"Well you see when I was little my mom made me play it all the time. While Red and Blue got to go outside and play, I had to stay inside and practice that stupid flute. It wasn't fair, I hated it!" Green explained as she sat down with a few tears.
"I agree that isn't fair" Daisuke said trying to cheer her up.
"Also dad always showed Red and Blue all kinds of cool pokemon while I had to stay inside and play that flute!" Green continued angrily.
"I'm sorry that you had to experience that" Daisuke continued.
"Yea me too" Kite added in.
"It's okay, it help me realized that I didn't want to be a musician" Green chuckled.
Kite and Daisuke laughed a little as well while Green stood back up wiping her tears.
"Anyways let's go back" Green said.
"You want to go play it?" Kite questioned.
"I'm only doing it for you two though since you guys have helped me through a lot" Green smiled.
"Thank you" the two guys said in unison.
The trio went back to the bridge and up to Snorlax, Green snatched the flute from Red and started to play the soothing music. All the trainers around her were amazed at her ability to play it.
"Wow she is good" Daisuke commented.
"Yea she is" Kite agreed.
Just then the Snorlax began to move around and then shot up looking a little angry.
"Now is my chance, go Poliwhirl use focus punch" Red commanded, Poliwhirl shot out of the pokeball with his fist glowing a bright blue and punched Snorlax right in the stomach causing the fat pokemon to fall on its butt.
"Now use hydro pump" Red commanded, Poliwhirl shot a large burst of water towards Snorlax who in returned shot a large orange colored beam.
"That is hyper beam!" Kite shouted.
The two attacks collided and caused a large explosion.
"Go Pokeball" Red shouted as he jumped through the smoke and throwing the pokeball absorbing the large pokemon.
The pokeball shook three times and then stopped indicating Red had caught the pokemon.
"Alright I have my team now" Red said excitingly.
"Thanks sis" Red smiled at Green who was shocked to see him say thanks.
The crowd of trainers then charged through the bridge leaving only Kite, Daisuke, Green, and Red out of the bunch.
"Well I am going to Fuschia now" Red said walking away.
"Hey Red wait!" Kite shouted. Red stopped with is back towards the group.
"Let's have a battle, 6 on 6" Kite smirked.
Red turned his head and revealing only his smirk, "Alright."
