Chapter 31: Rival Battle! 6 vs 6!
"There, that should do it" Kite said as he completed the transfer and put the pokeball on his belt and put his pokedex back up.
"Is your team finally set?" Red asked.
"Yea" Kite responded.
"It won't matter though" Red smirked.
The group went to a large field that had some big rocks in the area. Kite and Red took their individual sides as Daisuke and Green stood on the sidelines.
"The 6 on 6 battle between Kite and Red is about to commence, each trainer is allowed to substitute anytime during the battle!" Daisuke shouted.
"Go Electabuzz" Kite shouted as Electabuzz appeared on the field.
"An Electabuzz, well in that case I will show you the increase in our power, go Poliwhirl" Red said as Poliwhirl appeared on the field.
"Why would you put yourself at a disadvantage like that?" Kite questioned.
"You're about to find out" Red smirked.
"Let the battle begin!" Daisuke shouted.
"Electabuzz use electro ball" Kite commanded, Electabuzz shot a large ball of electricity towards Poliwhirl.
"Poliwhirl dodge, then use ice beam" Red commanded, Poliwhirl nearly dodged the electro ball and shot a light blue beam at Electabuzz freezing him solid.
"Now use focus punch" Red commanded, Poliwhirl began to charge the attack.
"Quick Electabuzz use electro ball" Kite commanded but Electabuzz just stood their frozen solid in a block of ice.
"It's no use he is frozen, Poliwhirl unleash focus punch!" Red shouted, Poliwhirl with his fist glowing bright blue shot towards the frozen Electabuzz.
Just then the frozen Electabuzz explodes covering the area in smoke.
"No matter the punch will land anyways" Red smirked as Poliwhirl continued the charge.
"Quick Electabuzz use thunder punch" Kite commanded, Electabuzz shot out of the smoke with his fist covered in electricity. The two Pokémon collided fists causing both Pokémon to fly backwards.
"Poliwhirl use ice beam" Red commanded, Poliwhirl shot a bright blue beam towards Electabuzz.
"Electabuzz use light screen" Kite commanded, Electabuzz formed a small screen in front of himself cancelling out the ice beam.
"Thunder punch, electro ball, and light screen. I know three of your Electabuzz's moves, this fight is as good as Poliwhirl's" Red smirked.
"Well if I recall Poliwhirl knows seismic toss and water gun, so that makes four moves I know of" Kite gloated back.
"As if Poliwhirl would have all four of the same moves as our last fight, let me show you his new strength" Red smirked.
"Poliwhirl use hydro pump" Red commanded, Poliwhirl began to puff his chest out.
"Please, my Poliwag can do that move" Kite continued to gloat.
"Once again a fool, Poliwhirl is the evolved form of Poliwag, meaning his power and the power of his moves are stronger than that of your Poliwag" Red started to laughed.
"Now let them have it" Red said in a serious tone pulling his hat down covering his eyes indicating his seriousness.
"Yo why so…" Kite tried to say but was interrupted by Poliwhirl shooting an enormous surge of water towards Electabuzz.
"Damn, that is way bigger than Poliwag's" Daisuke said.
"Quick Electabuzz, use volt tackle!" Kite shouted, Electabuzz dashed towards the surge of water covering himself with electricity to where you could only see Electabuzz's after image.
Electabuzz collided with the water causing a huge explosion covering the area with smoke.
"Ha, I told you…" Red started but was interrupted by Poliwhirl being struck by a ball of electricity sending him flying backwards.
"What the?" Red questioned and looked back at the area of smoke and saw Electabuzz standing there barely harmed.
"Nice electro ball Electabuzz" Kite said towards Electabuzz, Electabuzz grinned back towards his trainer.
"Damn, I thought even with the type disadvantage the hydro pump would have worked" Red said a little disappointed.
"Oh well, things happen in battles that you just can't help" Red said re-adjusting his hat.
"Poliwhirl, you good?" Red asked towards Poliwhirl.
"Poli, Poli" Poliwhirl responded pounding his fists against his chest.
"Poliwhirl use ice beam to make a path" Red ordered, Poliwhirl shot his icebeam on the ground making an ice path in the direction towards Electabuzz.
"What are you planning?" Kite questioned.
"Poliwhirl slide on the ice while charging focus punch" Red commanded, Poliwhirl jumped on the ice and began sliding towards Electabuzz while beginning to charge focus punch.
"You won't make it to us, Electabuzz use electro ball" Kite commanded, Electabuzz shot a large ball of electricity straight towards the sliding Poliwhirl.
"Gotcha" Kite smirked.
Red smirked, 'Poliwhirl use focus punch" Red commanded, Poliwhirl then punched the ground with the focus punch launching him into the air.
"What?" Kite said confused.
"Quick use brick break" Red quickly commanded. Poliwhirl, who was right above Electabuzz, held his hand straight out as it began to glow red, Poliwhirl then slammed his hand straight down on Electabuzz's head slamming him into the ground.
"Electabuzz!" Kite shouted as Electabuzz struggled to get up.
"Now end it with focus punch" Red commanded, Poliwhirl began to charge up his fist.
Electabuzz continued struggling to get up while Poliwhirl stand beside him charging his fist.
"End it!" Red shouted, Poliwhirl began to swing his glowing blue fist towards Electabuzz.
"Electabuzz use light screen" Kite quickly ordered, Electabuzz formed a glowing light box around him blocking the focus punch but destroying the light screen as well.
"Now use thunderpunch" Kite continued, Electabuzz stood by Poliwhirl with his fist glowing with electricity. Electabuzz struck Poliwhirl hard in the chest with his thunderpunch sending Poliwhirl flying backwards.
"Crap, Poliwhirl" Red said in dismay.
Poliwhirl struggled to get back up but managed to stand tall again.
"Poliwhirl let's use our brick break technique" Red said, Poliwhirl held out both of his hands straight out as they began to glow red, Poliwhirl then clapped his hand together.
"Electabuzz charge an electro ball but don't throw it" Kite commanded, Electabuzz began charging an electro ball making it larger and larger.
"Go Poliwhirl!" Red shouted, Poliwhirl dashed quickly towards Electabuzz with his hands clapped together glowing red.
"Electabuzz use volt tackle" Kite commanded, Electabuzz dashed towards Poliwhirl covering himself in electricity to where you could only see Eletabuzz's after image and the large electro ball he was holding in his right hand.
The two pokemon got closer and closer, as they clashed Poliwhirl hit Electabuzz in the neck with the two-handed brick break, however Electabuzz still managed to hit Poliwhirl point-blank with the large electro ball which got even larger due to the electricity of the volt tackle being absorbed by the electro ball. The ball turned into a large electrical explosion sending Poliwhirl flying backwards fainted.
However, just before the Daisuke could call it, Electabuzz was hit by the recoil of the volt tackle causing him to faint.
"Both pokemon are unable to battle" Daisuke shouted.
"Good job Poliwhirl, you at least still caused his pokemon to faint" Red said as he recalled Poliwhirl.
"Nice job Electabuzz" Kite said as he recalled Electabuzz.
"Let's go Wartortle" Red shouted as Wartortle appeared on the field.
"What? You have a Wartortle too?" Kite questioned.
"Of course, I caught him in the wild, he is stronger than yours" Red smirked.
"We will see about that, go Pikachu" Kite shouted as Pikachu appeared on the field.
"Another water and electric matchup" Daisuke sighed.
"Wartortle use water pulse" Red commanded, Wartortle charged a blue ball and threw it towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu, use thunderbolt" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot a large bolt of electricity towards the blue sphere.
The two attacks collided causing an explosion.
"Pikachu quick use quick attack" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot towards Wartortle at lighting speed.
"Wartortle withdraw into your shell" Red commanded, Wartortle withdrew into his shell taking the quick attack sending the shell into the air.
"Now use water gun to launch yourself back towards the ground" Red commanded, Wartortle came out of his shell in mid-air and shot a powerful stream of water away from the ground propelling Wartortle back towards the ground.
"Ice punch go!" Red quickly commanded, Wartortle's right fist began to glow a bright blue, Wartortle begins to nosedive towards Pikachu using the water gun propulsion.
"Pikachu counter with iron tail" Kite quickly commanded, Pikachu's tail turned into metal.
Wartortle swung his fist downwards towards Pikachu who blocked the punch with his iron tail, both pokemon were sent flying backwards to their respective sides.
"Wartortle return" Red said as he withdrew Wartortle.
"Backing down already" Kite smirked.
"Let's go Snorlax" Red shouted while ignoring Kite's remark, the large Snorlax appeared in front of Pikachu but fell on his back and began to sleep.
"This will be easy, Pikachu use thunderbolt" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot a large bolt of electricity towards the sleeping Snorlax.
Red smirked as the bolt of electricity struck Snorlax causing him to yell in pain.
Snorlax then stood back up looking very angry.
"Snorlax only is awake when he eats? Or when you piss him off" Red smirked as he pulled his hat down covering his eyes.
Kite kind of looked shocked at the sudden change in tone.
"Snorlax use hyper beam" Red commanded, Snorlax charges and shoots a large orange beam towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu use thunderbolt" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot a large bolt of electricity towards the beam.
The two attacks clashed, however, the hyper beam caused the thunderbolt to dissipate, Snorlax then shot and even larger beam towards Pikachu.
'Pikachu use quick attack" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot at lighting speed towards Snorlax. Pikachu easily maneuvered around the beam and struck Snorlax in the belly only to be bounced backwards.
"Dang Pikachu bounced right off" Kite said shocked.
"Then let's try this, use volt tackle" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot towards Snorlax at lightning speed as electricity began to surround Pikachu to where you could only see his after image.
Pikachu struck Snorlax in the belly with the volt tackle only to be flung back a bit plus taking damage by the recoil.
"Pikachu keep it up with iron tail" Kite quickly ordered, Pikachu's tail turned into metal as he flung it towards Snorlax.
"Snorlax use mega punch" Red commanded, Snorlax's right fist glowed a bright white as he swung it towards Pikachu.
The two attacks clashed, however Snorlax's left fist began to glow white as he struck Pikachu upwards in the gut, Snorlax then used his glowing white right fist to punch Pikachu in the face sending him flying backwards.
"Pikachu!" Kite shouted as Pikachu was struggling to get back up.
"Snorlax use body slam" Kite commanded, Snorlax ran towards Pikachu and jumped in the air ready to do a belly flop on top of Pikachu.
"Pikachu return" Kite shouted as he recalled Pikachu just before Snorlax crashed into the ground.
"You're up Magmar" Kite shouted as Magmar appeared on the field.
"Snorlax use hyper beam" Red commanded, Snorlax began charging a bright orange ball in its mouth.
"Magmar use smokescreen" Kite commanded, Magmar shot black smoke out of his mouth covering the field entirely.
"Snorlax fire!" Red continued, Snorlax shot the large orange beam in the direction of Magmar blasting through the smoke. The beam struck the ground where Magmar was standing causing an explosion.
"Target hit" Red said adjusting his hat.
"Hmm" Kite smirked, Magmar appeared out of the smoke mid-air above Snorlax.
"Magmar use fire punch" Kite ordered, Magmar's right fist was engulfed in flames striking Snorlax in the face causing the large pokemon to fall on his back.
"Like Magmar would just stand in the same spot after using smokescreen" Kite gloated.
"Like Snorlax would be down after that" Red smirked.
"Quick Snorlax use mega punch" Red quickly ordered, just then Snorlax shot back up on its legs with his right fist glowing bright white striking Magmar in the gut sending him flying back.
"Magmar!" Kite shouted in dismay.
"Snorlax use body slam" Red commanded, Snorlax jumped into the air and prepared to belly flop on top of Magmar who was struggling to get up.
"Magmar use fire spin" Kite commanded, Magmar shot a large tornado like flame upwards towards Snorlax. The spiraling flame struck Snorlax in the belly and sent Snorlax even higher in the sky.
"Magmar use flame burst" Kite commanded, Magmar began to charge a fiery ball from his mouth.
"Snorlax use hyper beam" Red commanded, Snorlax began to charge a bright orange ball from his mouth.
Magmar shot the large ball of fire towards Snorlax, the large ball of fire then burst into many streaks of flame that shot towards the free falling Snorlax.
Snorlax fired the large bright orange beam blasting through some of the fire streaks; however, a few of the fire streaks struck Snorlax causing an explosion.
"Magmar watch out!" Kite quickly shouted, Magmar barely avoided the bright orange beam. The beam struck the ground beside Magmar and causing an explosion.
Snorlax continued his free fall looking unharmed while Magmar was struggling to stand up.
"Magmar dodge!" Kite shouted, Magmar attempted to move out of the way but was smashed by Snorlax causing him to faint.
"Magmar is unable to battle" Daisuke shouted.
"Dang, nice try Magmar" Kite said as he recalled Magmar.
"I'm counting on you Gyarados" Kite shouted as Gyarados appeared on the field.
"Use hyper beam!" Kite shouted, Gyarados began charging a bright orange orb in his mouth.
"Snorlax use hyper beam as well" Red commanded, Snorlax began charging a bright orange orb in his mouth as well.
"Fire!" Both trainers said in unison, Gyarados and Snorlax shot their respective hyper beams.
The two large orange beams collided causing a huge explosion.
"Snorlax use mega punch" Red commanded, Snorlax dashed towards Gyarados before the smoke could even clear.
Snorlax blasted through the smoke with his right fist glowing bright white.
"Gyarados dodge and use ice fang" Kite commanded, Gyarados avoided the mega punch and then proceeded to bite Snorlax in his left shoulder with a glowing light blue fang.
Snorlax connected the mega punch this time into Gyarados's gut causing him to let go and fly backwards.
However, Snorlax's left shoulder was covered in ice causing Snorlax's left side to go numb.
"Damn I bet Snorlax's left side his beginning to go numb" Red thought to himself trying to devise a strategy as he re-adjusted his hat.
"Snorlax let's end this" Red said as he pulled his hat covering his eyes.
"Use last resort" Red commanded, Snorlax's expression turned raged as he was covered in a glowing white energy to where you could only see Snorlax's after image.
"That's not good!" Daisuke said in dismay
Snorlax rocketed towards Gyarados.
"Gyarados quick use dragon rage" Kite commanded, Gyarados shot a large black and blue dragon shaped beam towards the glowing Snorlax. The dragon rage collided with Snorlax causing a large explosion. However, Snorlax still surrounded with white energy slammed into Gyarados sending Gyarados flying way back into some rocks behind Kite.
"Gyarados!" Kite shouted in dismay, Gyarados struggled to get up but ended up collapsing fainted.
"Gyarados is unable to battle" Daisuke shouted.
"Its okay Gyarados return" Kite said as he recalled Gyarados.
"Not quite sure what that was just know but let us see who is next" Kite said grabbing a pokeball.
"That was last resort, Snorlax can only use it once he has used all of his other moves, and in the course of his three battles he used all three of his moves. Since I didn't substitute Snorlax when he used those moves in the other battles it counted as well. Basically it is a really powerful last resort move" Red explained as he recalled Snorlax.
"You are down to three pokemon, while I still five" Red bragged.
"I am not too worried about it, let's go Pikachu" Kite shouted as Pikachu appeared on the field.
Red smirked, "Pikachu go" Red shouted as his Pikachu appeared on the field as well.
Both Pikachu's stared intensely at each other preparing for their deciding battle.
"Pikachu use thunder bolt" Red commanded, Pikachu shot a large bolt of electricity towards the other Pikachu.
"Pikachu you use thunderbolt as well" Kite commanded, Pikachu shot a large bolt of electricity that collided with the incoming bolt causing an explosion.
"Pikachu quick attack" Red commanded, Pikachu shot through the smoke lightning quick towards the opposing Pikachu.
"Pikachu iron tail" Kite commanded, Pikachu's tail turned into steel. Pikachu then slammed its iron tail into the dashing Pikachu sending him flying backwards.
"Pikachu use quick attack once more" Red commanded as his Pikachu shot towards the opposing Pikachu at lighting speed.
"Now use double team" Red commanded, the dashing Pikachu separated into two, then into four, then into eight dashing Pikachus.
"Only one is real, use thunderbolt quickly on each one" Kite commanded as his Pikachu began shooting quick bolts of electricity at the eight dashing Pikachus. Pikachu was eliminating one false Pikachu after another. However, Kite's Pikachu only managed to eliminate four of the false Pikachus before getting slammed into by the real Pikachu sending him flying backwards.
"Pikachu!" Kite shouted in dismay.
"Time to do away with quick attack, let's show off our new move!" Red shouted.
"Pikachu use volt tackle" Red commanded, Red's Pikachu dashed towards the opposing Pikachu while being covered in electricity to where you could only see his after image.
"Pikachu you use volt tackle as well" Kite commanded, Kite's Pikachu got up and dashed towards the dashing Pikachu while being covered in electricity to where you could only see his after image as well.
Both Pikachu's kept gaining speed and power as their surrounding electricity's got larger and larger. Both the Pikachu's collided with each other causing a very large electrical explosion.
"Pikachu!" Both trainers shouted in dismay.
