Chapter 58

Aerrow had insisted that she ride with him, to be sure she didn't run off when they got back to the Condor.
Piper and Junko had looked a little nervous and Digger seemed annoyed while his Sky Knight and fellow Team mate were looking a little awkward with the situation as a whole.

The red head and the dimensional traveller were now sat in Aerrow's room staring each other down, not knowing that Finn and Radarr were trying to listen in on the other side of the door.

"Just what do you think you were doing?" Aerrow seethed through gritted teeth.

"Ya know Aerrow, if you wanted me alone, you could've just asked" Blinx shot back with casual sarcasm.

"Anything could've happened" Aerrow continued, ignoring her input "The Forbidden City is notorious for its deadly booby traps. You could've been killed!"

Blinx snorted with mirth "You said traps…"
She cleared her throat and pulled herself together when she saw Aerrows furious face.

"I know you're a Sky Knight, but why are you worrying so much?! You pick me out of the rest for the smallest, stupidest things!"

"It wasn't small, but it was stupid!" Aerrow screamed at her, moving to stand in front of her.

"What is your deal?!" She screamed back "First, I save someone from a burning building and you go off at my good deed! Then, this happens and you make it seem like I was destined to die and looking for it! Why are you so protective?! You don't even know me!"

"You look like her!" he screamed in frustration, his eyes widening when he realised the information he'd just divulged.
There was an awkward silence between the two until Aerrow's back thumped heavily against the metal wall.

"Who do I look like?" Blinx asked calmly
Aerrow slid down the wall "Someone from long ago. All I have is a photo to go by now…look, I'm sorry I get overly protective, I'm protective of all my family, but…with you…"

"It's more so, because I remind you of someone important"
Aerrow nodded slowly and Blinx smiled compassionately.

"I tried not to let it get to me, but when you do something that I think is stupid, no matter how brave or good, I get scared"

"That's sweet Aerrow and I'm sorry but…obviously, I'm more of a distraction than we both thought I'd be" Blinx stated "Maybe it would be best if I…went with the Zero's. You're a Sky Knight and the leader of this team, you can't afford to be watching after one person"
Aerrow nodded sadly in agreement and turned his gaze away from her to look at the floor. Blinx took the chance to take her leave.
