The impasse eventually ended, and Kagome was whisked away to a small enclosure that was less a cave and more a den. It reminded her strongly of the wolves' home, with the exception of several amenities.

"Is that a grill?" She asked, pointing to the criss-crossed mechanism that rested over the fire pit.

She noticed Youko's face tighten, just enough to disclose his hesitancy. "Do you cook meat on there?" She rephrased.

He nodded. "My companion is partial to the flavour."

"That's awesome." She announced. "Your friend is officially in my good books."
