Hey guys.
This story will be going on a varying update/hiatus again, hopefully not for as long as it did before, as I'm having a massive case of writers block and at this time have run out of chapters to post.
By varying, I mean that when I have chapters I will update.
Please don't hate and if anybody has any suggestions that may help, feel free to send them through.

Chapter 71

The boys had stripped themselves of their armour and insignias, choosing instead to travel incognito like the Cyclonians they were tracking.
They were currently seated in a rest stop, watching three of Cyclonias best, whom they had finally caught up with a few miles back.

The three Storm Hawks huddled around a table laying low, Junko wearing a hoodie with his back to their enemy. Even he was taking this seriously. His appetite was preoccupied with worry about his missing friends. And he could see he wasn't the only one.
Finn was no longer his joking, fun loving self. Though, if the Wallop thought about it, he hadn't really been since Blinx had left them.
And he still had to learn why Aerrow was in the midst of neglecting his leader duties, most of the red head's time had instead been taken up with staring at an old picture that no-one would, or could, explain to him.
He knew there would be a confrontation between them and those that were seated behind him on the other side of the stop, he hoped it would be sooner than later.

He watched as Finn carefully peaked around him to see what Dark Ace and his companions were up to.
"They're leaving" he stated evenly

"Follow them. This ends now, we've waited long enough"

Junko set his wide eyes on his leader with concern.
"Don't you think that a bit premature?" he asked, even Finn seemed a little troubled by this sudden order.

Aerrow continued "No, I don't. Our friend's in trouble and the Cyclonians are hunting her, it's our right to know why. We may be the only ones that can help her. As Sky Knight's it's our duty!"
Aerrow was pulling out all the stops and using every excuse in the book…obviously.

There was nothing more said on the matter. As they proceeded towards the main doors, Junko had a niggling suspicion that the Cyclonians had long known they were being followed.

It had all been a coincidence, albeit a good one.

As Radarr had been flying over a Terra, he suddenly noticed that his engine was running on empty…although it was probably the sudden plummet of the vehicle that gave that away.

He gave a long, screaming screech as, in his minds eye, he saw himself splattered on the rocks below, and he would've been, if it hadn't been for something pulling him backwards and into the air at the last second.
He saw the ride explode in a fascinatingly delightful way, breathing easy when he realised he wasn't a part of it…then he realised he wasn't a part of it.

Looking up, he took in the sight of large fingers pinching the back of his uniform. He fell limp, his body numbing, sure that he'd only been saved from death to die.

That was, until he heard a familiar voice from underneath him.

He chirped happily when he found it was the person he'd long been searching for. Beside her was the ever-loyal Digger and the previously gone Arygyn.
"You can set him down Gundstaff. We'll take it from here"

The giant nodded to the girl and set the furry creature on his feet. As soon as he had the chance, Radarr was off like a shot towards Blinx, only stopping when her other companions turned aggressively defensive. Only she was able to calm the two and encouraged Radarr to approach.
He climbed to her shoulder and clung mercilessly, vowing silently to himself that he would never leave her side again.

"You're just in time Radarr, we were just about to leave" she commented, petting his head lightly "And I could always use a Co-Pilot" she whispered discreetly.

He churred with confusion as his head tilted, not paying attention to the fact that she had moved and was now straddled over her own Sky Ride.
A sleek, black and gold vehicle like nothing he'd ever seen before.

"First stop, Terra Vapos" Arygyn said, settling himself behind Digger.

"You're not gonna fly yourself?" the Blizzarian questioned, so used to Angel flying with him.

"With these new rides of yours, I wouldn't be able to keep up"

Gundstaff laughed heartily when he heard this "It would seem you are getting too old now my friend"

"Well, I'm not the only one" the bird man snapped, then chuckled himself, both taking the jab with good humour.

Gundstaff watched as the new Techno-Rides lifted effortlessly from the ground, hovering with un-natural ease.
Angel bid her God-Father farewell and promised to visit before pushing a button which encased her in a reflective dark gold coloured shield.

The two vehicles were gone in a second, leaving behind only dust and a streak of colour that vanished as quickly as they had.

"The world is changing. It's a young man's playground" the giant spoke to the air before lumbering lazily back into his home.
