Chapter Three
I hurried into the private room of the studio and put my bag and water bottle on the floor near one of the walls of the room. I joined Adam in the middle of the room for our stretches, and once we were finished we moved over to the ballet barres to do a few more stretches. Once we were finished, Coach Danielle came into the room. She smiled at the pair of us.
"Alright, let's see what the two of you can show me!" She said, excitement creeping into her voice. For the next two and a half hours, Adam and I ran our newest routine, working until it was nearing perfection. The only major flaw was that Adam was still having some trouble with the singular major lift, so we need to get that worked out stat.
"Okay, that was a good practice. Good work, you two. Keep rehearsing, you need this perfected by the end of the week." At this point in Coach Danielle's spiel, I grinned. We would definitely have it perfected by the end of the week, if not sooner. "Also, I just found out that this isn't a competition, it's simply a performance," my face fell at this. I love competitions - we get to show off without being called show offs. "On Dancing With the Stars!" Adam and I shared a look of astonishment, and huge grins broke out on both of our faces. Coach Danielle dismissed us, and we climbed into his dad's car, since Mr. Banks was taking me home. The drive was filled with excited chatter, which included some softly-spoken sentences from me.
A/N: I know, it's short and bad. But my trips are almost over and done with! I've finished my summer course, and my Boston trips are over and done with! (I went back up for my brother's hockey tournament the day after I came back from the first trip). But now we're going camping for like, four days (and we're leaving later), so I won't be able to update. So though it's short and bad, I'm going to upload it so that you've got something to read, and I may go back and rewrite it later.
