Yeah, Yeah, it's very short, sue me. The song is In My Arms by Plumb, but the first part is revised to fit the characters. I own nothing.

Alex's POV
Dallas had left in the middle of the performance. I sighed as the audience cheered like crazy. I looked at Mitchie and saw that she was watching the spot the dallas had been. I could see the tears she was fighting back. In an instant she turned back and our eyes met for a second before she turned and ran off the stage. The crowd was dead silent as I got up and went after her. I ran out of the restuarant and caught up with her at the corner of the street.
"Mitchie stop" I told her as she made a move to keep running. She looked at me the tears staining her cheeks as they fall down. She stopped and was breathing heavily watching me. I cautiously took a few steps towards her before she let me embrace her in a hug.
"I want to let her in" She cried. "All I've ever wanted was someone in my family to care" She continued as she sobbed into my chest.
"Then why did you push her away?" I asked her.
"Because it's all I could do. What if she hurts me? What if she's talking to my mom and she comes after me? Alex, she's out here, somewhere on the streets more than capable of coming after me. Do you think she'd really care if there was a restraining order, do you think that'd stop her?" I rubbed her back soothingly.
"Mitch, you know I would never let that happen. I'm here for you and I always will be. Your safe"
After a while, we started heading back to the restaurant to get out stuff. When we walked in we were surprised to find the audience still there, not having moved. Miley and Max were on the stage drinking their water and it seemed as if everyone had been waiting for us. My parents came out of the crowd and pulled us both into a hug.
"Are you two alright?" Mom asked and I nodded into her.
"Yeah, why is everyone still here? I thought they would have left by now."
"They're waiting. They want another song." Momma told us and I looked at Mitchie who sniffled.
"I don't think I want to sing again just yet" she admitted.
"Then I'll do it." I told her and she looked at me wide eyed. "I think I already have a song." I told her. We made our way to the front and onto the stage.
"Everything okay now?" Miley asked us and we nodded.
"Here" I said taking out a song we had written. I got out a pen and started fixing some of the music on the sheet to suit what I had in mind. after I finished, I handed it to Miley. She read it over and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Another new song?" She asked and I nodded. "Okay" She said. Everyone started copying down what I had given Miley and looked it over before getting into our positions. Max went to the drums seeing as how the base wasn't needed at the moment and he knew how to play.
"Okay, thanks everyone for your patience, I honestly didn't think people would wait" I admitted into the mic and the audience cheered. "Anyways, this is a new song, we haven't practiced yet, so go easy on us" More clapping before there was silent as they were waiting. I looked at Miley and she nodded starting out the first few notes on the piano. I waited for my cue, then started singing looking towards Mitchie, letting her know this was for her.
"You're chocolate browns
So full of wonder

How can I frown
around your contagious smile?

Max started a soft beat on the drums to match the piano.

And as i watch
You start to grow up
All I can do
is hold you tight

This is where Mitchie joins in on the guitar.

Knowing clouds will rage in
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms

Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe in my arms
The tune went softer again as I continued.
Story books are full of fairy tales
Of kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
You'll someday see the truth from lies
It sped up again and Mitchie was still playing, but her eyes were on me. She was smiling softly with tears in her eyes.
When the clouds will rage in
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe in my arms

Castles – they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
'Cause I will always,
Always love you
Hey I,
Hey I,
When the clouds will rage in
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe in my arms, in my arms

Miley finished up the last few notes on the piano and it was silent for a moment before the crowd got on their feet giving us a standing ovation.
Mitchie slid her guitar so that it was hanging on her back and tackled me into a hug.
"Did you mean it?" She asked me through her tears that she couldn't seem to stop. "You love me?" She asked sounding so hopeful.
"Mitch, I always have, " I told her and she looked kind of sad thinking I meant in a friend way, so I continued. "Mitch, I love you in a way best friends shouldn't. You stop my heart just by your presence. Your voice is probably my favorite sound and I could never live without you either, but the thing is. I don't think I can keep it from you any longer. I love you Mitchie, I'm in love with you." She started crying harder as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"I love you too" She whispered into my ear. "I want you to hold me, and I don't want you to ever let go."
"I never would, and you know why?" I asked. She waited for me to continue. "Because your My Mitchie."
