Epilogue 2: May's Response
Ash,
The trip to Alola was meant to be a vacation. I wasn't supposed to be working and you weren't supposed to be training. It was meant to be time for us and time to relax with our friends and families after a hectic couple of weeks of work. It feels like ages since I've become a lawyer, but I've only been in the job for about five months now. Work is going quite well and Trucy and I are still pretty good friends. I've got her into pokemon coordination so we might end up facing each other in the contests someday.
Congratulations on your new promotion. Yes, you were so mean to me over the years after everything I sacrificed to get you out of jail, you were still so stubborn. It was so frustrating. I thought getting you out of prison would make everything fine again. Yes, you should have read that book cause that angel was Severus Snape and he was your guardian angel. He's good friends with my guardian angel, Albus Dumbledore. But I accept your apology and I'm so glad that you've acknowledged your mistakes.
I've been so angry and upset... but your letter made me feel calm and sincere. I managed to find out who killed Cho Oak in the end, it was that homeless woman who I saw in the forest. It turns out she's Pansy Parkinson, one of my client's friends from school. She was nothing more than an obsessed ex, but I still don't understand why she would try to frame Draco. The truth was, Pansy was trying to frame Harry Potter and it almost succeeded. I defended Harry and now I'm famous in the wizarding world too.
All this fame, money and glory is nice, but it's not the reason I became a lawyer. I became a lawyer to seek the truth and to bring justice in this fucked up world. I may not have super powers like you, but I like to think that I've paid my dues to this world. You might be stronger than you've ever been, but I hope you can control your power. I can't wait for you to see me tonight. The
I can't wait for you to see me tonight. The letter that you've written to me is lovely, but nothing beats good old face to face conversation. I'm glad that the old Ash is coming back.
I think you're too mean on Mr Wright. He's had a lot going on. You see, Mr Wright is full of dedication. If anything happens to his friends, he'll come running. He's the kind of man who will cross burning bridges and every corner of the globe just for his friends. And I know somebody else who is just like that, and that's you. It's funny how all these strange and mystical events haven't torn us apart. I think we're meant for each other. I know that for sure. We've had everything thrown at us: war, time changing, prison, murder and natural disasters. It makes me wonder what will happen next.
But if it wasn't for all of that, I would have never known about my birth family. I love everybody in my family: both adoptive and biological relatives. I think we're all one big happy family even though it is a bit dysfunctional at times. It's been a very hard decision. And I've made my choice. I'm going to carry on working for Phoenix Wright's firm, and I hope Hell is ready for their new queen.
Love you always,
May Maple
Still an overworked and underpaid lawyer. (Yes, not as regal as your role.)
P.S I've got something to tell you when we next meet in person. And by the way, when you come and meet me can you bring back a large pizza. Thanks!
