In the name of diplomacy and fairness, as well as a strong urge to show off, Youko gleefully spent the next few hours as an educator of all things kitsune.
"Can we talk about breeds again? You said each kind can do something different?"
He thought it over. "There are talents which are unique to each clan…but it is better to say that while they may have leanings of superiority over certain skills, all kitsunes possess the ability to master those traits. Of course, many techniques are secrets passed down amongst family members, which adds to the notion that only they may master such techniques."
"So they keep the secret to themselves and that way only they can use them."
"Precisely!"
"Then any kitsune could learn to read auras?"
Youko frowned. "Theoretically…though my clan is the best at it."
Kuronue, who was still sitting behind the priestess and taking part in yet another kitsune habit—the poor man really did spend far too much time around Youko's clan—chuckled. "Don't take him too seriously. He'll tell you that they're the best at everything."
"Well we are."
