Lanterns

Kagome smiled softly at him and parted her lips to comment, but closed them when Inuyasha came up to the small group, Sango and Miroku's kids flying past them to bombard their parents.

"Mama, papa! We have to go!" The twins chimed, pulling the hems of their parents' clothes to hurry them along.

"Oi, they're lightin' the lanterns right now." The hanyou announced.

She blinked and then looked at Sesshoumaru with mild shock. "We can't miss the lantern lighting! Come on!" She called, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the river bank that hugged the side of the village.
