"If that is what you wish." He tilted his head slightly when she grinned at him and pulled the rice paper off the lantern to light it. As he watched her smile and place the paper carefully back into place, he remembered with vivid detail how they had lit a lantern together a few months prior, before her accident. Yes, he had told her he was unfamiliar with the tradition, but he wanted her to recall it on her own. But, would she?
"Sesshou-kun! Are you ready to release?" She asked, wading into the river until her ankles were submerged.
