Chapter 21 Calm Down He's Fine

Kakashi POV

Like it wasn't bad enough when I found out that Anko was the proctor for this test. But the Kurenai just had to freak out., "Would you calm down I'm not going to let you go until you promise not to run right back there." I and Asuma were forced to grab Kurenai and drag her back to the mission tower break room after she totals lost it ran to the testing room. "Did you really think that you could just kick her ass and there be no reason for it." Asuma glared at her as he said it holding her down as we sat on one of the couches while waiting for her to calm down. After about 30 minutes she sighed and sat still, I leaned against the wall to make sure I had a good sight of her just in case she tried something again. "I just get that but, and I don't trust her around Sasuke not yet and I don't think that I ever will." I shook my head and sighed before putting an arm around her. Asuma sat by the window smoking a cigarette, "It has nothing to do with the two of them. Stop acting like they meant for this to happen. They both feel like shit" He looked at Kurenai his eyes cold. She looked at him shocked. "You have been talking to her after what she did to Sasuke. I cant forgive that." He rolled his eyes and looked at her and then at me, he eyes asked me to intervene. "He was the when that started all of this, you cant forget that he had a part Asuma right you need to stop putting all of this on Anko." She huffed out some air and looked away from us. Asuma took her silence as a reason to keep talking. "Yeah well, you are going to need to deal with it because she is about to start the second part of the exam and even if she wasn't she had been friends with us since we were kids." I turned to look at Asuma his voice was harsh as he said it shaking his head slightly "If you are so worried about him have Kaksha use that jutsu of his to make sure that Sasuke is where he supposed to be." I look at him almost forgetting and nodding my head, I place a hand on my fire sigil and closed my eyes, I could see Sasuke, arguing with Naruto as Sakura looked out for an enemy. My guess is that things were going bad there. "Yeah he is fine he with his team now would you calm down. I think that he can make is 5 days without us." She looked up at me worry in her eyes for a moment. "I know but he could die in that place, hell it's called the first of death for that exact reason." I rolled my eyes and look at her this worried look in her eyes was leaving. "He will be fine if it makes you feel better I will check up on him in a few hours till then there is no point in your worrying yourself sick." She stood up and look at me and then Asuma. "I'm going to the house to try to settle my nerves I see you guys later.

"She waved over her shoulder before walking out of the room leaving me to look out the window as Asuma smoked.

"So what is this really about? I doubt that it has anything to do with Sasuke not being able to take care of himself. Hell the combined training that the two of us use to do with him he one of the best student when it comes to survival. I'm sure at that it had something to do it Anko." I look at him and nodded my head before watching Kurenai walk down the street with what looks to be Sakura's mother. "I think she's worried about Sasuke and Sakura." I looked at him and he seemed confused "What do you mean?" I looked at him I thought that the answer to his question was obvious. "She thinks he is trying to sleep with her. I doubt that he has been blowing her off since day one if anything I thought that he would go out with the Yamanaka girl on your team." He nodded his head and sighed before walking towards the door "Are you coming or are you just going to say here the whole day." I smiled at Asuma before nodding my head and walking with him out the mission tower. We walked off to the streets making idle chit-chat about Sasuke, the chunin exams just anything really. Our convention never needed to be the force.d Where has known each other our whole life and the fact that we both ended dating the Uchiha twins definitely didn't hurt our friendship either. I sighed heavily when I noticed that Guy was walking towards me. I didn't like the way that Sasuke treated him but he as a point, he could go a bit overbored at times, dismiss that fact. He himself wide at Asuma looked at me "Goodmorning I hope that you won't hold the fight between Lee and Sasuke against him, I would hate to think that the poor lad was in trouble for something that Lee started." I look at him confuse and he shivered "Nerve mind.

He started to walk away but I grabbed him by the collar and held him in my grip "The hell are you talk about?" I looked at him and he had this huge uneasy grin on his face before looking at Asami who was starting to take out another cigarette into his mouth getting ready to light it. "Well answer the man ." I turned to see this small smile on Asuma face, I shook my head sadly he like to mess with the guy. He shook his head looking away for a moment before making up his mind on if he was going to answer my question. "Lee challenged Sasuke to a fight and he accepted, of course, the lad lost." I looked at him and raise my eyebrow "Doubtfully if anything he was using his Sharingan to study his moves for later." I look at him and smiled "Alright well I will see you later." I waved my hand and look at Asuma before we walked away leaving Guy confused. I could have explained but I didn't have the time or the energy. After three hours of drinking with Asuma, I headed back to the house and collapsed on the bed ignoring the fact that Kuruneri wasn't here even though she said that she would be. I close my eyes only for a moment but I ended up passing out

I looked down to see Sasuke curled up on the couch when I finally put my book down to get something to drink. I grabbed a cup out of the wooden cabinet before pouring myself a cup of coffee and walking back in the living. I leaned against the pale white wall simply looking down at Sasuke these past couple days with Anko and his outburst yesterday were a little too much for me but I sure that it had something to do with the fact that things have been a bit tense. I sighed and watched him stir in his sleep, his eyes open slightly, he groaned as he looked at me. I placed my coffee cup gently on the table before crouching down at him. "You okay?" He nodded his head lightly before slowly closing his eyes "Nightmares, and my chest is killing." "You want to talk about it" He looked at me and shook his head trying to hide his face from me. "What wrong" He looked at me his gaze was gentle but there was something insane about his eyes. "I dreamed that we were in the land o the waves and this team Zubaz did kill you." My heart ached for him, he hasn't been right since that day. I was about to say something when he clutches his chest.

He panted heavily for a moment but soon his breathing even out. I look at him and nod my head before running a hand theory his soft blue hair. I smiled gently trying to reassure him."I'll get your medicine it's about time for you to take them don't move Suk." He nodded his head and struggled to sit up as I walked out of the room and into the kitchen grabbing a cup of water before grabbing the pills off the counter and walking back into the living room and handing him the cup. He took it gently and looked at the three little white tablets. He sighed and took two out of the three. I sighed heavily "Are we going to have this issue every time you need to take your pills." I looked at him and he sighed and laid back on the couch. "I don't need them papa" I shook my head "You sure that dream is the only thing bugging you." I looked at him as he opened his eyes for a moment before he closed his eyes and he drifted back off to sleep he looked at peace so I wasn't going to push the issue. I simply grabbed my cup and sipped the coffee. Content just watching Sasuke sleep when there was knock at the front door. I shifted my head to the door and quickly back to the couch when I heard Sasuke stirring in his sleep. He smiled to myself and I walked over to the front door when I was sure he wasn't going to wake up. The kid deserved sleep after the week that he has had.

When I made it to the door I was shocked to find that the Hokage was on the other end this was the second time in two days. I didn't really know what to say and he simply smiled at me "May I come in I would like to talk to you about Sasuke and the upcoming chunin exams." This had to have to be about my outburst the other day. I sighed before to let him into the house he looked at me from the corner of his eyes when I closed the door he walked into the living room. I was about to grab his shoulder but pulled my hand away. He looked at Sasuke sleeping form and smiled "He looks like an innocent kid when he is sleeping. Nothing like the poor kid that had to witness 99% of his family die." I looked at him and then at Sasuke who was starting to move around I walked to him and gently place a hand on his stroking his hair till he settled down. "Yeah he is a good kid but he had his moment when he has little tantrums but that is because he takes himself way too seriously" I looked at him and he sighed before sitting down asking me to the same. I simply sat by Sasuke and looked at him from afar. "What is that you want to talk about? Does it have to do with the fight me and Iruka had yesterday I truly am sorry for my outburst as you can tell Sasuke got that bad temper and lack of control for me." He laughed lightly to make sure not to disturb Sasuke. "Well, simply he is a major commodity, the other village know that you are his father which actually works out in our favor. Ninja from all over the world is going to come and ask you to switch to their side. But Sasuke is important he had to be ready for this, I would like you to train him no stop until the day of the exams." I look at him my eyes widening.

He was trying to pimp my son out to the highest bidder and he wanted me to push him well past him limits there was something wrong with him. "With his breastplate damaged and the way it is he can only train for a couple hours day. I don't want to push it risk injuries so bad that he can't heal and then he couldn't fight you. Plus I don't want to push him too hard he is just a kid you know that." He nodded his head "That being said you need to make his training more intense in those few hours. If he can't perform well if not better then expected. The other villages might think us weak. We lost our most powerful clan so to speak and if they think that one of the last remaining members is weak they will attack you understand that." I nodded my head and sighed "That being said my son isn't some weapons to be used but I understand I will make sure that he is ready for the chunin exams." He nodded his head in thanks and stood up getting ready to leave."I will show myself out." I nodded my head and looked at Sasuke once he was gone. This kid couldn't catch a break it has been one thing right after the other today. I shook my head sadly.

I opened my eyes slowly all my limbs felt heavy like I was drugged I groan and struggle to prop myself up on my elbows. I look around the there room was dark and there was a note on the bed table. I struggled to lift my arm but grabbed the note. "I left I'm at the bar with Asuma. I didn't want to wake you up I'll see you later tonight." There was no way that I had slept the entire day away yesterday. I looked out the window and the moon was on the full rise. I struggled to get up only to see that the door was slowly opening and Kurenai was standing there her hands on her hips. "I and Asuma have been waiting for you for hours. Don't tell me that you have been sleeping since yesterday how much sake did you have the other day." I groaned I was so exhausted I wonder how Sasuke and the others were , they were doing better than me right about now.
