Youko strode forward, his youki coiled tightly around him so as to ease the dog-demon in at least some semblance of truce. Inuyoukai fit stereotypes fairly well, with few exceptions, and while they were loyal and protective and strong, they certainly weren't deceptive.

However, those exceptions... "So your group knows the Lord of the West?"

An ear twitched, but the mutt made no other sign of having heard him.

"The priestess particularly seems well acquainted. Is she your diplomat?"

Inuyasha scoffed. "She certainly keeps making friends out of enemies."

The trouble with the situation was only in how many secrets there were to exploit. He chose the most advantageous, and pressed, "Lord Sesshomaru is quite the foe I hear."

"That bastard just can't let go of a grudge." Inuyasha huffed. He side-eyed Youko. "But he ain't worth the trouble, if that's what you're getting at."

"Nothing of the sort - I know better than to engage in fighting for fighting's sake. I would be most interested in meeting him however."

"Yeah," Inuyasha sighed, "well, if you're hanging around long enough you probably will."
