27. Chapter 27

Chapter 27 We Are Late Again

Kakashi POV

"Dad would you get up! Papa gets up!" I heard Sasuke yelling at the top of his lungs like he was in danger. I snapped my eyes wide open and he was looking at me this irritation ringing out of his eyes. "What are you doing you are going to make me late get up." He snarled at me as I blinked, I didn't understand what he meant by that. "What are you talking about?" I looked at him and he inhaled "Dad we have to get going we are going to miss the finals, so you need to get up like right now." I sighed and looked at him and then looked at the sun and sighed "Look at the sun's shadow we are fine to come one let's eat and get an hour or two in training." He growled "I get that dad but it will take us forever to get back you know that you move slowly in the morning. Come on papa let's go." He started to pull on my arm and yanked me forward like he uses to do when he was a kid. "Buddy you need to calm down did you have another nightmare." I watched his face turn a bright pink he hasn't been sleeping that well, I wonder if it is like this even when we are at the house too. "That has nothing to do with it I don't want to be late and miss my shot to fight Gaara. Come on Uncle Asuma know that you are going to make me late so he decided to stop by last night to tell you to hurry your ass up. We should have been back last night." I yanked my hand out of his grip and he dropped to the ground and whined as he rubbed his head. "Ouch jackass." I smiled lightly at him before feeling my face turn into a frown. "Watch your mouth you hear me." He huffed out some air and snarled at me.

"I'll watch my fucking mouth when you decided that you are going to get your lazy ass out of bed and make your way back to the village because I will leave without you." I was starting to get irritated he knew that I didn't have patience when it comes to him and his vulgar language. But it's not like I could punish him I don't want to hurt his chance of making it to a new rank of to get him to learn a lesson that was extreme even for me. "Sasuke you have one more time to curse." I watched him stand up to his feet and walk over to me "No problem as soon as you get your lazy ass up I'll stop cursing." I sighed a few swats weren't hurt. I pulled his arm forcing him to fall forwards before laying him on my lap and grabbing my belt that was off to the side. After about 20 swats and a tearful 14-year-old in my arms, I place him gently on the floor of the tents. "I'm going to stretch out my bones when you are done crying we are going to train a little bit longer." I walked you and I heard him whimpering as he tried to move. I sook my head and stretched out my back I didn't hear any movement coming from the tent and I didn't feel any change in his chakra. I sighed what was he doing now.

I turn around full intent on yelling at Sasuke but he was curled up under a blanket glaring at me. "If you intend on not leaving now then I intend on not training." He sneered at me and close his eyes.I shook my head sadly "Sasuke stop acting like a child." He glared at me turning back over to look at me, but there flash of pain that appears on his face. I am sure was from his ass whooping. "Then stop treating me like one. You don't want to head back so we can be on time but you want me to be late doing last minute training that won't change anything. It's like cramming for a test minutes before you have to take it. There is no point." He huffed out some are and turn back to his side I shook my head and grab him by his feet. Holding him upside down and he glared at me "What are you doing." I looked at him and his shirt fell off of his chest covering his face. I noticed that there were black and blue marks on his ribs that were slowly turning brown."When did you get this." I poke at it and he whimpered. "Papa doesn't do that, put me down now." He snarled at me and I poked it even more. "Tell me where you got this." He sighed and looked at me before looking out past the tent to something off in the distance. I looked in the direction and I knew what it was. "The village is an hour run from here and you match is in 2 hours." I watched him shake his head "No it's not it's in an hour and it takes hours to get back so let's go." He folded his arms and looked at me. "Well then let's go."

"You're lucky you just made it." I looked up to see that Hayate was looking at me the new proctor standing next to him. I knew him well from my Anbu days and of course, that meant that he knew Sasuke. "Like father like son. Alright, you just mad it let's had to extend the time twice" Sasuke nodded his head and I walked into the stands to see Naruto and Sakura standing there. She had this worried look on her face like she knew something that I don't. Could it have been, what happened to lee that was scaring her? "He will be fine you know." I turned to look at her and she nodded her head before turning to look at Naruto. He charka was stronger sure but there was something about him that seemed more arrogant maybe this new power gave him a new boost of confidence. At any rate, this match should prove to be interesting.
