Kagome felt a shiver rush up her spine...then a pressure soothe the ire that it caused. She turned around to see her two newest friends loitering near the edge of camp, and was caught off guard by the pleasure she felt seeing both groups united at last.
"Guys," she waved over Youko and Kuronue with a smile and a coil of energy, "come meet Sango and Miroku."
When they complied, walking over to the cluster of humans, add one fox kit attached to Kagome's hip, she continued, "Sango and Miroku, meet Youko and Kuronue. My ah...escape buddies."
Youko saved a moment to give the priestess a raised eyebrow and a begrudging smirk, before turning back to her companions. "It is a pleasure to finally lay faces to the names in her stories."
"Well, some of her stories." Kuronue clarified.
"Yes," Miroku grinned, his staff jingling by his side, "Kagome's amassed a great many enticing tales over the years."
Shippo jumped from his perch in Kagome's arms and crooned, "And she's saved the best for last!"
