Wheedling was a cinch, and in a matter of moments Youko had secured their places...for the time being at least. Hints of protection did wonders to help their case, and the fox applied himself to aiding the priestess' plight-even if that meant spending time from his own commitments.

Kuronue's obligations, being less severe than Youko's own, were easily put off with a shrug and a wave towards their newest acquisition.

"A powerful player...though still just a girl." He pointed out.

"She is but a pup," Youko agreed, "but for a human she is quite advanced."

"Hmm. Humans race towards death it seems, not just in frailty. You are confident?"

Youko watched with careful eyes and Kagome, rather obliviously, trotted through yet another of his barriers. He nodded.

"I am."
