It was a hell of a time getting Inuyasha to agree to more terms. No amount of pleading or bargaining worked, so Kagome went with flat out arguing—she may not have the subjugation beads any longer but that didn't mean she wasn't damned threatening.
"It's just a tracker—"
"He'll know our every move!"
"He's not going to attack us."
"You don't know that."
"You don't know he won't."
"If we ever suspect anything I can just leave it behind! There's no risk!"
"That's a lie and you know it. I know you know it."
She sighed. "…Fine, there's a little risk. But only a little! Isn't it a gesture of good will that he asked me instead of sneaking it into my bag regardless?"
"Only you would think that." He snarled.
"Inuyasha…he'll train me."
"I'll protect you."
She drooped. "I don't want your protection at the risk to your safety. Inuyasha, you're my best friend, I love you very much…"
His cheeks dusted red. "But…?"
"But I want to protect you too."
