A/N: Today's the big release day for Grey, Fifty Shades from Christian's point of view. I'll be starting my read later on tonight. I can't tell you how excited I am. Today is also the birthday of our beloved Mr. Grey. I would have never guessed a fictional character would have such an impact on my life. I had always enjoyed writing, but it wasn't until after reading FSOG that I took the chance. It's also been through the writing that I've been able to become friends with people from all corners of the globe. The friendships are ones I cherish and hold close to my heart. Here's the latest chapter. Enjoy!

"Mia, you said you had something important to discuss, but you've yet to start talking which is highly unusal for you.", Christian says. Mia sits on the other side of the living room, giving him a scowl.

"Christian.", I sigh. "Maybe she's just trying to figure how to say it."

"Ana's right. I'm kind of nervous.", Mia replies.

"You're nervous. Could it be that you're pregnant or getting married?"

"Negative to both. What I want to talk to you about is in no way related to my relationship with Nicholas. In fact, it's more of a business thing. You know how I love cooking?"

"It's something you've always enjoyed.", Christian nods. Mia's put the culinary training she received in Paris to use by doing catering jobs in and around the Seattle area, but she has also expressed how she'd like to one day have her own restaurant. "Are you going to be branching out from the catering?"

"You could say that. I'm considering having a food truck that serves sandwiches, salads, and other foods. I'm not coming to you for any sort of monetary support, but I'd like your opinion on the matter since you have a keen eye when it comes to business ventures. Big brother, do you think I'm foolishly dreaming or is it a good idea?"

"Food trucks are popular these days. I've got to admit when I first saw one I wasn't sure about the quality of the food, but the fish taco I had was something you'd see in a five star resturant. They're convenient for people who don't have time to get in the car and drive somewhere for lunch."

"People like you.", I smirk at him.

"Only about ninety percent of the time. Mia, as much of a good idea as it may seem, you also need to realize opening your own business isn't an easy thing. It's a lot of work and energy. There's also the risk of the business failing. What might be successful today could be a failure tomorrow."

"I'm well aware of the risks.", Mia shrugs. "This might be the first time I've said anything to you, but it isn't something I just thought of. It's an idea that's been brewing slowly." I'm not sure what's going on in Christian's mind, but I hear the certainty in Mia's voice. I sense this is what she wants to do.

"Mia, I believe you'll be a great food truck owner.", I say.

"Thanks Ana. It means a lot hearing your say that.", she smiles before turning her eyes to Christian who's silent. He traces his jaw with his index finger and slowly grins.

"I've always supported you in whatever you've done, and I'm doing the same now. Go for it."

"Really?", Mia asks.

"Really.", Christian repeats. "I'll do whatever I can to help. How about an investor?"

"I didn't come to you for money. I came for your opinion."

"I know that, but I see potential which I'd like to invest in. Please."

"All right. Since you're going to be investing, I'd like your help on some things such as choosing the right vehicle and equipment."

"Not a problem. I can also help you map out where you station yourself. I could use my business perspective to scope out where you'll get the most traffic."

"I'd like that. Thank you."

"I'm excited for Mia.", I say as Christian and I are enjoying our family time in the living room with Oliver who's happily wrapped in his dad's arms.

"Me too. I'm not going to lie. I'm also nervous for her. I want her to do well, but it's going to be rough. I remember when I first started GEH. It was nerve wracking. I practically lived on nothing but coffee. I was tempted to look into getting an IV drip with coffee in it.", he laughs. "I had more than a handful of times in which I almost gave up. It would be have been the easier thing to do. I wouldn't have had so much to deal with."

"But you're the not the type of guy who just gives up. You start something, and you see it through. You also convey that confidence on to others, helping them see that they can do anything they put their mind to."

"I like helping others especially those who I care about. Sadly, I used to not want to do such a thing, and that's because I distanced myself from my loved ones. My family would go out of their way trying to include me in things, but I'd go out of my way to make excuses not to be around them. I thought I was doing them a favor by keeping away from them."

"You weren't.", I say while he hands a fussy Oliver to me. "Come here little guy."

"No, I wasn't doing them any favors. I was only making things worse, yet it took meeting a certain woman to help me wake up."

"I'm guessing you're talking about me?", I grin.

"Bingo. Now that I'm finally able to be around my family, I want to do whatever I can to help make their lives better whether it's relationship wise like Elliot's case or it's work related like Mia's."

"It's very admirable of you. You may have missed out on some things, but you're defintely making up for them now."

"I want your opinion but be honest.", my mom murmurs from behind the closed door of her bathroom. She called and asked if I could come over while she got ready for her date with my dad.

"Mom, I'm sure you look great.", I tell her.

"Can we pretend for just a brief moment that I'm a complete stranger and not your mother? That way you won't be biased."

"I'll try. Excuse me woman who I've never met, but I don't have x-ray vision so you're going to have to come out of the bathroom in order for me to give my thoughts." Seeing the doorknob turn, I step back. My mom emerges wearing a dark blue sequined dress that comes just above her knees. Her dress is paired with a pair of black heels and a dark blue clutch. "You look beautiful, and this is coming from someone who has no idea who you are." She runs her hands down the sides of the dress and smiles. "I'm being honest."

"Ray and I have been seeing each other for a while now, but I still get nervous before our dates. He hasn't told me where we're going so I might be way overdressed for a night of bowling.", she says as my phone rings. "Go ahead and answer that while I do another check on my makeup."

"Your makeup is fine.", I sigh, answering my call from Christian who's at home with Oliver. "Hi."

"Hey baby. How are things are at your mom's?", he asks.

"Good. She's anxiously awaiting my dad's arrival. How are things at the house? Is Oliver ok?"

"Oliver's fine. He just took a bottle and did the loudest burp. I'm going to lay him down in a few minutes but thought you might want to say hi to him. I've got the phone on speaker."

"Hi baby boy. Mommy loves you. Yes she does. You're the cutest little boy in the entire world." My heart skips a beat when I hear the sweet sound of Oliver giggling. "Are you giggling at me? I love that sound."

"Me too.", Christian replies. "He's got the happiest face on him, and that's because his mom is on the phone."

"He's also happy because he's with his daddy who he loves." I use my free hand to wipe away a tear as I think of my two guys. They bring so much joy to my life.

"Since I can hear you sniffling, I'm going to save you more tears and hang up. I'll see you when you get home."

"Which shouldn't be too long from now. Bye Oliver. Mommy's going to be home soon. I love you. I love you too Christian."

"We love you.", he says. I stash my phone away and hear a knock at the door.

"Mom, I think Dad's here."

"Will you answer it?", she asks from the bathroom. I pad through the living room and to the door. When I open it, I find my dad dressed in a white dress shirt and black dress pants.

"You look very handsome.", I tell him as he steps inside the apartment.

"Thank you. I wanted to look good for your mom.", he says, sounding almost as nervous as her. "Is she ready?"

"I believe she's doing a last minute check."

"I'm not sure why. I haven't seen her, yet I already know she looks stunning."

"Ray, you're sweet.", my mom says from behind us. She slowly joins us in the living room. "You didn't say where we're going so I can change if I'm too overdressed."

"What you're wearing is perfect. You're perfect.", he smiles at her while taking her hand in his. "Do you remember how we used to go dancing? It was one of our favorite things to do."

"We always had such a nice time despite the fact that neither of us were the best dancers."

"One of our favorites was salsa dancing which happens to be taking place tonight at Century Ballroom. There's even a resturant, The Tin Table. We can eat and dance or dance and eat."

"Sounds like a lot of fun.", I say. "Mom, your dress is great for salsa dancing."

"If you don't mind me stepping on your feet a few times, I'd like to go.", my mom tells my dad.

"Salsa dancing sounds fun." Christian says while crawling underneath the covers where I'm already snug. "We should go sometime."

"You and I both know my dancing isn't the best.", I sigh.

"I beg to differ. You're a great dancer." He jumps out of the bed and pulls me to the floor as well. "Let's dance."

"No. Let's sleep."

"We can sleep after we dance. I want to prove to you that you're a good dancer.", he murmurs.

"Christian, you can prove that another time. My feet are too tired for dancing tonight." He releases me and slowly gets back into the bed. I slide my body back on the bed and trace my fingers down his bare chest, easing downward to the band of his boxers.

"You said you wanted to sleep."

"I changed my mind. I'm not ready for sleep just yet. You see even though my feet are too tired for the normal kind of dancing, the rest of my body is very much ready for some mattress dancing."

"Fuck.", he groans.

"Let's.", I smirk.
