ATTACK OF THE DONNAS

Donna and Lee appeared on Gallifrey in Donna's TARDIS and immediately headed for the High Council's meeting chambers. Lee wanted to get this over with quickly so that he could have a normal life again as soon as possible without having to worry about the C.I.A. breathing down his back.

Or as normal a life as he could have being a mixture of Time Lord and human anyway.

"This is just so s-s-strange, Donna. Part of me feels perfectly normal being here, and t-t-the other part of me feels completely out of place. It's s-s-so strange having memories of growing up here. It just s-s-seems so wrong," Lee said.

"Don't worry about it, Lee. You'll soon get used to it I'm sure. Even if you never feel like you belong here, you'll always belong with me," Donna said as she smiled at him.

"That's t-t-the one thing that a-a-always feels right," Lee said as he kissed her.

"Are you nervous around me? Even now? Is that why you stutter?" Donna suddenly asked.

"A l-l-little nervous, yeah," Lee admitted.

Donna took his hand and held it as she said, "You don't ever need to be nervous around me. I'll never make fun of you or judge you for anything that you say or do if that's what you're worried about. I won't leave you either no matter what happens. We're meant to be together. Don't you think so?"

As he started to answer, Donna put a finger to his lips and said, "Say it slowly. Only when you're ready though. There's no hurry. Just calm down."

Lee smiled at her efforts to help him overcome his stutter and did his best to follow her advice. He hoped that he could at least keep the stuttering down to a minimum when he finally answered.

"I think that you're the best thing to ever happen to me in either of my l-lives. Blast it!" Lee said as he became angry.

He had almost made it all the way through.

"That's alright. Don't worry about it," Donna said with a warm smile and kissed him.

"I-i-it's not alright though. I should just l-l-let Drax replace me. I'm u-useless," Lee said in frustration.

"Don't ever say that again!" Donna screamed.

Lee saw the scared look on her face at the thought of ever losing him again and immediately felt ashamed for ever saying such a thing to her. He kissed her and held her close to him as he said, "I wasn't thinking about what I was saying. I'm sorry."

Donna suddenly smiled which made him ask, "What?"

"You didn't stutter. Not once," Donna said with a grin.

Lee felt proud of himself as Donna said, "See? You can do it when you really want to."

"W-w-when it's important," Lee agreed.

"Oh, that's so sweet. Motormouth's new boyfriend, Stammer Boy, just managed to go five seconds without screwing up. Let's give him a medal," a woman who looked just like Donna said as she suddenly came walking up to them out of nowhere.

"Oi! What are you doing with my face?" Donna demanded.

"I could ask the same question of you, Dumbo!" another Donna duplicate said as she came walking around the corner.

"You've both got my face! What are you, face snatchers? You're not like the Wire's cousins or something, are you? I'll tell both of you right now that if I don't have a face, I'm ripping one of yours off and getting it back!" Donna shouted.

"Oi! Watch who you're calling names! You're the one who's got our face, Martian Girl," one of the Donna clones said.

"Martian?! I'm not the Martian! You two are the bloody Martians!" Donna shouted

"Well, t-technically you're all aliens," Lee said

"Shut up!" All three Donnas said at once.

Lee cringed and wondered how Donna could be so sweet to him one minute and then turn around and bite his head off the next. He knew that she didn't really mean it, but that didn't help his stuttering any.

"J-j-just p-p-pointing it o-out," Lee said.

"Now look what you two flipping clones did! You made my fiancé's stutter worse when I was just helping him get better," Donna said in an angry voice.

"Hey! Don't blame it all on us. You yelled at him too you know," one of the Donna clones said

"Yeah but he knows that I don't really mean it so that doesn't count," Donna said as she tried to hide the guilty look on her face.

They were right, and she knew it. She was going to have to watch her temper around Lee in the future. She didn't want him to think that she didn't love him because she did. With all of her heart. Or was that hearts? Bloody Time Lord biology!

Who needs two hearts anyway?

Donna smiled as Lee grabbed her hand in moral support to let her know that he understood. He was already good at reading her emotions from her facial expressions apparently. Then again they did live out a lifetime together inside of CAL so he would know her very well, wouldn't he?

"What are you two doing here anyway? Is this some kind of trick to replace me? I can already tell you that that's not going to work because I'm not that easy to impersonate. Everyone who really knows me will see that neither of you are me in a second," Donna said with absolute certainty.

"We're not here to replace you, Space Girl. We're here to kill you and your blabbermouth boyfriend before you can tell everyone what you know," one of the Donna clones said with a sinister glint in her eyes.

"So you're a bunch of C.I.A stooges, huh? Well, here's what I think of them stealing my face," Donna said as she suddenly grabbed one of the Donnas by the shoulders without warning and flipped her over her head and into the other Donna.

As the two Donna clones went down like bowling pins, the real Donna laughed and said, "That's what you get for trying to be me. Why don't you use your own face and quit stealing mine?"

"This is our face," one of the Donnas said as both of them transformed into monstrous versions of themselves.

Donna pulled out her Vortex Laptop and quickly scanned them with it as she said, "You're a couple of Gangers, aren't you? The C.I.A. went and made Gangers out of me. I ought to slap the life out of them just for that alone."

"That's funny because that's just what we were going to do to you only we weren't going to settle for just slapping you," one of the Ganger Donnas said as she came toward the real Donna with huge scythes where her hands had been.

"Oh, that is it! It's not enough that you steal my face, but now you're making me look like a psycho too. You're going to ruin my reputation for being the quiet, sweet one of the Doctor's gang," Donna said.

Lee almost choked while the two Donnas busted out laughing. Donna glared at all of them as she said, "What's so funny?"

"You know I'm you, and even I don't know how you can be so blind," one of the Gangers said as she tried to cut Donna in half with one of her new razor sharp hands but missed as Donna ducked underneath it.

"I know how. If she wasn't, she'd have to admit just how loud and obnoxious that she really is, and that would squash that already fragile ego of hers. I mean she almost broke up her team lately because of her lack of self-confidence, didn't she? Then again she did almost lose that kid mascot of their twice, didn't she? Maybe she really is as stupid as she seems come to think of it," the other Ganger said as she swiped her scythe hand across Donna's chest.

"Whoa!" Donna said as the Ganger slashed her blouse in several places but managed to avoid hurting Donna only because Donna had managed to move out of her way at the very last second.

"Nobody could be as stupid as she seems," the first Ganger replied.

"I think that Old Leather Lungs over there just might be. I mean she did actually believe that Lance loved her, didn't she? How dense is that?" the second Ganger said.

"Shut up!" Donna said as she used her sonic screwdriver to emit a pulse to destabilize them.

They both screamed even as they instantly started dissolving. Unfortunately for Donna and Lee though, they weren't the only ones there.

An entire army of Donna Gangers started pouring into the area all around them out of nowhere, and each of them turned into horrible distorted versions of Donna as they ran toward her and Lee.

"What's the matter, Donna? Did they strike a nerve?" the Gangers all said together at once.

"What is this? Make Fun of Donna Noble Day or something?" Donna said in disgust as she used her sonic to emit yet another pulse to start dissolving all of the Gangers around her.

All but one that is. One of them just kept coming toward her as it shifted into a new form. Now it looked just like the Queen of the Racnoss. She smiled as she showed the perception filter that she had been using to hide herself to Donna.

"I'm really surprised that you didn't get my clone's earlier hint. That little bit of name dropping should have let you know exactly who you were up against, but apparently it went right over that dense little head of yours, Donna. Oh, sorry! It's the DoctorDonna now, isn't it?" the Queen said.

"You lot must think that I really am that stupid if you expect me to believe this one. You're just another Ganger made up to look like the Queen," Donna said with a frown.

"Remember who you're dealing with here, Donna Noble. The C.I.A. plucked me out of the timestream and saved me from drowning with my children. They knew that I would jump at the chance to destroy you and would even be willing to work with Time Lords in order to do so," the Queen said as she slowly advanced on Donna and Lee.

"It's not going to work because I'm not the same person anymore that you met before. I'm not a scared, ignorant Earth girl this time around. I'm a Time Lady, and I've learned a few things since we last met," Donna said.

"Oh, I know. I've been studying all about you since I was rescued, DoctorDonna. You have all of the knowledge of the Doctor rolling around in that tiny little mind of yours, don't you? Just because you have his knowledge though doesn't mean that you know how to use it. You're lacking the Doctor's cleverness. That streak of genius and inventiveness that sets him apart from everyone else. You can't copy that through a Metacrisis," the Queen taunted her.

"She doesn't need to. She's just as clever as he is all on her own," Lee said without stuttering.

Donna smiled at both his confidence in her and his lack of stuttering as she said, "You've got that right, Smart Boy. Now I'm going to prove it."

Donna started typing away on her Vortex Laptop at a rapid pace as she began to grin wider and wider. The Queen began to sense that she was in danger and immediately sent several strands of webbing at Donna as she tried to capture her in them before she could finish whatever she was about to do.

Donna was ready for her though as she used her sonic screwdriver to turn the webbing into dust before it could even reach her. "Too bad, Queen. Unlike the Doctor's sonic, this one does work on organic materials. I mean his doesn't even work on wood. What kind of a screwdriver can't work on wood?"

Lee smiled at her even as the Queen howled in fury and raced at her in anger now ready to rip her apart. Donna however was already finished and used her laptop to open up a portal right in front of the Queen just as she jumped at her.

The Queen's face contorted with horror as she went right into the portal and fell straight into the MirrorVerse. Donna grinned as she thought of how she had Michelle help her put a setting to trap their enemies there into her computer recently. How was that for thinking of clever ideas? This time it had really come in handy too.

Donna pulled out her cell phone and quickly called Michelle. "I just sent an old enemy of mine into the MirrorVerse. I thought I'd let you know so you don't go accidentally letting her back out again," Donna said.

"That's great, Donna. Couldn't you have called at a better time though?" Michelle said in a very annoyed voice.

"Why? What's wrong?" Donna asked in concern.

"I was right in the middle of something here," Michelle said through gritted teeth.

Donna immediately remembered that Michelle was out on a date with Mark and realized that she had just screwed it up. "Oh. I'm so sorry, Mirror Gal. I didn't mean to mess things up for you. You just get right back to whatever it is that you were doing. Before I go though, I just have to know. Did you kiss him yet?"

"Do you want me to send you into the MirrorVerse with whoever you just put in there, Donna? Because believe me I am so tempted to do just that right now," Michelle said.

"You wouldn't dare. You're too nice now to do something like that," Donna said with a grin.

"Just hang up. I was right in the middle of something here!" Michelle said in a very aggravated voice now.

"You were kissing him when I called! Good for you, Shelly! Good for you," Donna said in a happy voice.

Michelle couldn't help but laugh at her friend's heartfelt joy for her despite her anger at her as she said in a gentler tone, "Goodbye, Donna. I'll talk to you later."

As Michelle hung up on her, Donna grinned at Lee and said, "Let's go. It's high time that you spilt some secrets to the High Council."

As Donna and Lee walked into the High Council's meeting chambers and prepared to give the names of most of the top leaders of the C.I.A to them, Discord watched them from the shadows. The C.I.A. had underestimated Donna Noble, and now one of her most valued group of allies was about to be dismantled as a result.

It didn't truly matter though. Not to her anyway. As long as Braxiatel kept his mouth shut, then the secret location of her Archangel Network on Gallifrey remained secure, and that was all that concerned her right now. Let the C.I.A. leadership be dismantled. None of them mattered anyway. They didn't interest her in the slightest. They were little more than just tools to further her plans in the end anyhow.

Donna Noble though did interest her a great deal. Maybe she was going to have to take more of a personal interest in her in the future.

She might make a powerful ally someday if she were pushed in the right direction.

Next: Lee spills the secrets of the C.I.A. to the High Council and starts naming names. One name in particular will completely shock Donna. Michelle meanwhile has her date with Mark interrupted yet again as Ileana shows up with a horde of zombies on her tail. Who or what are they and how do they stop them? More importantly, is Michelle ever going to have a regular uninterrupted date? Probably not!
