KALLISTA WHO?

Kallista waited until April fell asleep to pull out her cell phone. April had passed out from exhaustion almost as soon as she had found her. From the comments that she had made to her before that she guessed that the girl hadn't slept for at least a couple of days while she was searching for her mother. Just to make sure that she was really asleep though she waited another thirty minutes and then she started to call the Bad Wolves back about her.

She hesitated though before calling because she honestly didn't think that April was dangerous. In fact she looked so peaceful lying there asleep that she almost felt as if she was betraying her somehow by calling anyone.

Kallista shook her head as she wondered why she had become so attached to this girl so quickly. She had only just met her.

As she went into the next room to call, she heard the unmistakable voice of Donna say, "Calling again already, Gold Girl? I would have thought that you would have done it sooner."

"Why's that?" Kallista asked as she wondered if Donna already knew about April somehow.

"You want to know why the gargoyles were after you, right? I can't guarantee any answers, but I'll do my best to find out something for you," Donna said.

Kallista actually hadn't really cared why the gargoyles were after her. Well, she had cared, but she just hadn't wanted to think about it. She had just wanted to put everything behind her.

She would have too if April hadn't suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"That's not exactly why I'm calling. I just received an uninvited guest in my room," Kallista said.

Donna became alarmed as she asked, "What happened? Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. This girl got into my room somehow and started claiming that I was her long lost mother. I think she's a bit delusional probably because she's so upset about losing her. She's asleep right now so I called you. You won't hurt her will you? I really don't think she's dangerous. She's just really confused," Kallista said.

"She may seem innocent, but she could be there to kill you, Kallista. You'll have to be very careful until I get there. Just stay away from her. I'll be there in a few minutes," Donna said crossing her fingers.

Hopefully her TARDIS had had enough time to completely fix itself from the beating that Calliope had given to it. Otherwise she might be stuck in the Vortex for a while.

"Donna, I really think she's just a sweet confused kid. Don't hurt her, okay?" Kallista stressed.

Donna was surprised by this as she said, "Sure, I won't do anything unless I have to, Gold Girl. Don't worry about it."

As Donna hung up on her, she couldn't help but wonder what was going on. What was it about Kallista Gold anyway? She seemed to be some kind of a magnet for weirdness.

"Why did you do that for?" April said behind Kallista making her jump out of her skin for a minute.

"Listen, sweetie, I'm not your mum. The person I called is going to help you find her, okay? We both will together," Kallista said.

April shrugged as she said, "Maybe it's for the best. You still don't believe me but soon you will. Donna will find out the truth about you, and then you won't be able to run from it anymore. Maybe I can convince her to keep things quiet. You didn't hurt her and her group as much as you did other people after all."

"What are you talking about? I never even met Donna before today!" Kallista asked in frustration.

"Mum, I'm sorry for this. I really am. Part of me wants you to stay in this new peaceful life that you've made for yourself but I can't. The gargoyles will only be the first ones to come after you. Others are going to find you too, and then you'll die again if you're not prepared for them. I have to help you remember who you really are so that you can defend yourself," April said.

Kallista had had enough of this, and she finally lost her temper as she shouted, "I AM NOT YOUR MOTHER! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!"

April looked so hurt that Kallista immediately said in a gentle tone, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shout. You're just getting on my nerves. You need to stop this babbling about your mother, April. There's no way that I'm her. I need you to understand that."

April shook her head violently as she said in an emotional voice, "You're my mum. You have to be. Who else could you be with that power of yours?"

"That's what I came here to find out. You're Discord's daughter, April, aren't you? Jenny told me about you and how you've been searching everywhere for your mother," Donna said in a sympathetic voice.

Kallista jumped as she said, "Where did you come from so quickly? You said a few minutes, but I didn't actually expect it to be that fast."

"You still don't quite get the concept behind the TARDIS do you? It's okay. I understand. It took me a while to wrap my brain around it too. At least you've got me around to explain it to you instead of Spaceman. He'd have you so confused by the time he finished rambling you'd just be thinking of ways to strangle him instead of actually understanding what he was talking about," Donna said with a grin.

"Hello, Donna. It's nice to finally meet you. Maybe you can convince Kallista that she's my mum. She'll listen to you," April said confidently.

"I doubt it. She didn't seem to want to listen to anything I said last time," Donna said.

"So you think that I'm her mother too?" Kallista asked in an annoyed voice.

"No, I didn't say that, Sunshine. There is something very strange about you though. The gargoyles were all drawn to you for a reason, Kallista. Two of my team acted funny around you too and experienced memory problems. So who are you?" Donna asked.

Kallista started to become upset as she said, "Listen, I didn't come here to be attacked. I came because I wanted you to help this poor girl. She's lost her mother. Can you please focus on getting her some help and stop worrying about me so much if you don't mind?"

"I don't need any help. Not anymore. I just need Donna to confirm what I already know," April said.

Donna decided to defuse the situation the best that she could as she said, "Listen. Why don't the two of you come back to our headquarters at UNIT? I can run a few tests on Kallista there, and then we'll know once and for all just who and what she really is."

Kallista hesitated and became nervous as she said, "I – I don't know about that."

April put a comforting arm around her shoulder as she said, "It'll be okay. I won't let them hurt you or keep you against your will. I promise."

"Nobody's going to hurt anybody. I hope," Donna said as she looked at the two women with a wary eye.

For someone who supposedly just met her, Kallista seemed to be very chummy with April all of a sudden Donna noted suspiciously. Kallista seemed to trust her now as she calmed down immediately when April talked to her.

"You don't trust me, do you?" April noticed.

"Your mother tried to destroy the universe, and you were right by her side at the start. Why should I trust you?" Donna asked.

"I was trying to talk her out of it, Donna. I'd like to think that I did. I'd also like to think that what I did didn't lead her to die," April said as she started to cry.

It was now Kallista's turn to comfort her as she embraced her and said, "I'm sorry she died. I'm not her though. I'm sorry but I'm not."

Donna wasn't sure what to think of the two of them now as April cried in Kallista's arms. They both seemed like they were completely harmless, and her heart really wanted to believe that (she still thought of herself as having only one heart and being human despite what had happened to her). Her brain though told her to make sure of that first before letting her guard down around them.

"Come on, Gold Gals. It's time that we sort you two out once and for all," Donna said as she gestured towards her TARDIS which was now parked a few feet away.

"Gold Gals?" Kallista asked in confusion.

"She says she's your daughter, doesn't she? So that makes you both Golds if she's right," Donna said with a slight smile.

"I'm not her mother. Look at me. Do I look that old? Do I really?" Kallista said that last part in horror as she looked at herself.

"No, you look fine. Don't worry about it, Mum," April said smiling at her.

"I'm not . . .! Oh, what's the use?!" Kallista said with a sigh.

Donna led both of them into her TARDIS and quickly dematerialized. She was starting to like the two women and really, really hoped that Kallista didn't turn into a complete psycho if it turned out that she was Discord. She really didn't want to have to deal with that right now.

Was it really too much to ask for a quiet night with Lee? She hadn't had one since she married him, and it was really starting to get on her nerves.

As soon as Donna arrived at the Bad Wolves' headquarters, Dorothy immediately greeted them with her usual style and flair.

"Oi! Put your hands up and don't make any sudden moves or I'll have to start getting nasty," Dorothy threatened.

"Hey! Don't talk to her that way! She doesn't even remember who she is!" April protested as she put herself in front of Kallista protectively.

"I'm not this Discord person!" Kallista said in anger.

"We'll soon see about that. Wouldn't you know if she was anyway, Dorothy? You're the one who knows the future but can't be bothered to tell us about it aren't you, Future Gal?" Donna asked in confusion.

"Yes, normally I do. This time though I don't remember. It's like there's a block around my memories of who Kallista really is, and I really don't like it. What did you do to me?" Dorothy asked Kallista.

"I didn't do anything," Kallista said shaking in fear.

"Leave her alone," April said in a threatening voice.

"Dorothy, back down," Donna ordered.

Dorothy moved back some but said to Kallista and April, "I'm keeping my eye on both of you. You're not going to hurt my friends as long as I'm around."

Donna saw Kallista suddenly have a funny look come over her face then as she said to Dorothy in a stronger, much more confident voice, "Your mind has been tampered with but not by me. Maybe you should look closer to home for your answer."

"What? What do you mean by that?" Dorothy asked in alarm.

Kallista looked at her oddly as if she had just snapped out of a trance as she said in the nervous, upset voice that she had before, "What did I mean by what?"

"Don't play games with me!" Dorothy shouted.

"I don't know what you're talking about? Is she insane?" Kallista asked Donna in a terrified voice.

Donna could tell that she really didn't know what was going on so she said, "It's okay, Gold Girl. No one's going to hurt you. Come on. I'll take you to our little lab. We'll see whether you're really human or not. Even perception filters and funky cosmic powers won't fool our equipment. Lily built it herself."

"Lily. Lily. Lily. All I can hear about is how great Lily is," Calliope complained jealously.

"You're cool too, Mum. You're so much cooler than Lily is," Emmy reassured her.

Then she frowned as she said, "I've really got to stay away from the Doctor. Each and every version of him apparently. Even though John and Joan have been back at Joan's house for several hours now to prepare for the wedding the damage has still been done. I'm starting to talk just like him."

Calliope laughed at her daughter as she said, "It's okay. I appreciate the sentiment anyway, sweetheart."

"I wasn't trying to make you feel bad, Gran. I was just saying that if Lily built it then it has to be good," Donna said.

"Does it? Does it really?" Calliope said sarcastically.

"Don't give me any lip, Gran. I'm not in the mood," Donna said.

"Sorry. I was just trying to make you laugh because the mood in here seems like it's going to go homicidal at any minute," Calliope admitted.

"Not if I can help it," Donna said.

"We could have Michelle try her power on Kallista again, but she's finally going to talk about marriage with Mark. She's already left on a very important date with him," Ileana said proudly.

"Really? Good for her. It's about time then. No, don't bother her. We'll figure this out with Lily's machines," Donna said.

Calliope snorted but said nothing while Donna sighed.

"Get over it already, Gran," Donna said.

As Donna started to study Kallista with the Bad Wolves' equipment while looking for an answer as to who she really was once and for all, Rose was face to face with Fenric who was hiding in the body of Dorothy's husband, Alex. Fenric was terrified of Rose because he had just been badly weakened in a fight with Clara Oswald and knew that he could be defeated easily if Rose found out who he really was.

It was time for him to play the greatest role of his long, long life in order to keep himself alive.

"Rose, what are you doing here? What is it that you want to talk about?" Fenric said as he put on his best behavior.

"Don't act as if you don't know. Dorothy has been telling me all about how you've been acting lately. Don't try and deny it. I want to know why you're treating her so badly all of a sudden. It's almost as if you're a different person, yeah?" Rose said suggestively.

"I . . . Dorothy and I have had some problems, yes. We just can't seem to get along anymore. I think it's because of that team of hers. The things that she sees there and the stress that she's under with them are more than she can take I think. It's causing problems between us. I've tried to get her to quit but she refuses to. Maybe you could get her to leave them. I'm sure that she would listen to you," Fenric said in his nicest manner.

"Well, that's funny because the younger version of her is traveling with me right now, and she seems fine. That leaves me to believe that it's something to do with you," Rose said as she studied Fenric closely.

Fenric didn't like that scrutinizing gaze of hers one bit. He felt like he had just done something wrong somehow to give himself away, but he had no idea whatsoever what it was. He was sure that she knew that he was there now.

"Well, of course the younger Dorothy isn't going to be as bothered by things as the older one. Dorothy isn't as carefree and fearless now as she was when she was young. Decades of horrible battles and countless scenes of death and destruction have weighed down upon her. That would get to anyone," Fenric said.

"So it's my fault, yeah?" Rose asked with a dark undertone to her voice.

"You're putting words into my mouth. I never said that," Fenric defended himself.

"Oh, yes you are, mate. You're blaming the Bad Wolves, me, and time itself. It's the old blame game where you're deflecting the cause of the problems away from yourself and onto anyone or anything but you. Then again you're good at games aren't you? You always were," Rose said.

Fenric's eyes widened. She knew!

Rose began to glow with power as she said, "You can't hide from me. It's way past time that you left the building, Fenric."

"How did you know?" Fenric asked in disbelief.

"Well, I tripped you up, didn't I? You were so worried about putting on a good show of being completely normal to me that you didn't even notice when I switched from English to Gallifreyan and then back again for a few sentences there. I knew it was you when you understood every word that I was saying. Only another Time Lord or someone who used to be a Time Lord would have been able to do that as easily as you did," Rose said.

Fenric started to abandon Alex's body immediately and run as fast as he could because he knew that in his present highly weakened state that he wouldn't stand a chance against Rose. Before he could however, he suddenly found himself somewhere else entirely!

He looked around him in complete surprise as he realized that he was in the middle of an ancient castle. It was all overgrown and lying in ruins all around him. It looked as if no one had lived there for centuries.

He had absolutely no idea where he was or how he had gotten there.

Then he saw Rosanna Calvierri approaching him and smiled. She had saved him.

"How in the world?" Fenric asked.

"If you weren't so weak, you would already know that. You were transmatted here by the advanced technology of the Great Vampires. It was thought to be lost long ago, but it was passed down from the King Vampire to his last servant, Dracula. This is a hidden section of his castle that we're in at the moment," Rosanna said.

"Dracula is dead," Fenric said.

"True but his technological secrets are now mine which is a very good thing for you. I found them and spent months mastering them knowing that they would come in handy one day. Luckily for you I finally did recently. You know that she'll track you down here very soon now. We're going to have to distract her attention away from you somehow aren't we?" Rosanna said as she grinned wickedly.

"What did you have in mind?" Fenric asked with a smirk.

"I'm going to give her a much better reason to worry about her precious Dorothy," Rosanna said as she began to laugh.

"I so love the way that you think," Fenric said as he pulled her close to him and kissed her.

Since I'm sure that none of you want to know what they did next, we'll go back to the Bad Wolves' headquarters. Donna had just performed several tests on Kallista but hadn't received any results back yet when Lee called her on her phone.

"Hey! I'm sorry that I haven't come back sooner. I know that I told you that I would but something came up. Maybe you could come here? I'm so sorry, Lee. It just seems like the universe is conspiring to keep us apart lately, and I'm about ready to let the universe have it for it too," Donna said in an angry voice.

"I-It's alright, D-Donna. I was j-just about to come see you anyway. L-Lauren's here with me. She's going to bring me to you in her T-TARDIS," Lee said.

"Lauren? What's she doing there? I bet it's because of Kallista right? Is she dangerous?" Donna asked worried.

Suddenly Lauren's TARDIS materialized in the form of a statue of Sekhmet that still stood in the middle of the Capitol. Donna hoped that her Gran didn't see it. She had heard quite enough of Calliope's Lily bashing today.

"M-Mum, I-I'm so glad that I got here in time," Lauren said as she left the TARDIS with Lee.

"In time for what, sweetheart?" Donna asked as she immediately gave Lauren a hug.

"I-I'm glad to see you too, Mum, but there's n-no time for that. I-I have to m-make Kallista remember who she really is before the a-attack comes," Lauren said as she broke away from Donna and started running toward the lab where Kallista was.

"Oi! What is going on here? I'm a bloody Time Lord now, and I still have no clue," Donna said in irritation.

"L-let's find out," Lee said as they followed their future daughter to where Kallista and April were waiting on the test results.

"K-Kallista, you have to listen to me," Lauren said.

"It's you. You're the one who gave me Donna's number," Kallista said in surprise.

"Y-Yes, I did. I'm her daughter or I-I will be anyway," Lauren said.

"Why did you give her my number for anyway? Lauren, what is going on here?" Donna asked.

"I-I gave her your n-number because I knew that the g-gargoyles would kill her if I didn't. It w-wasn't just that though. I k-knew that you would need her here today," Lauren said looking worried.

"For what? Who is she, Lauren?" Donna asked.

Suddenly the lights flickered and Lauren said, "I h-have to work fast. T-they're coming. K-Kallista, you have to r-remember w-who you are."

Kallista looked at her in absolute shock as yet another person insisted that she was someone else. Then as Lauren started to tell the others who she really was, Donna's mouth dropped and so did April's.

"No!" Donna said in disbelief.

"That can't be true. It can't be!" Kallista said in tears.

Suddenly there was no more room for argument as the power for the entire base was suddenly shut off and several screams could be heard off in the distance. Rosanna's attack had finally come at last.

Hopefully you won't mind too much if we suddenly switch scenes to Michelle and Mark (I know! I'm evil!). Mark had just arrived at Michelle's home with absolutely no idea that Michelle was going to ask him some questions that could change his life forever.

As soon as Mark arrived, Michelle's legs started to shake out of control as she became extremely nervous and sweat started to pour off of her in waves. She was so afraid of what Mark's response was going to be that she was starting to see spots before her eyes and was worried that she was going to pass out.

Then she almost did and Mark caught her.

"Michelle!" Mark said worried as he held her up.

Michelle started to smile in his arms as she said, "This isn't exactly the way that I pictured this conversation going."

"Are you okay?" Mark asked with worry all over his face as he checked her pulse which was flying like a jackhammer.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you. I'm just really not sure where our next conversation is headed. I – I don't want to lose you," Michelle said in a quivering voice.

"You won't, honey. I promise," Mark said as he kissed her forehead and held her close to him.

She relaxed somewhat as she finally decided to say, "Mark, where do you see our relationship heading?"

Mark looked at her in surprise as he continued to hold her up due to being afraid to let her go because she might pass out and hurt herself. He had no idea what she was talking about.

"I don't understand," Mark said.

"Mark, I love you. I love you so much, and I want to go to the next stage in our relationship. I want . . . I want to know if you would ever consider marrying me," Michelle said.

Mark smiled despite being taken totally by surprise as he said, "Of course I would. You're the only person that I've ever even considered marrying in my life."

Michelle smiled at him as joy filled her heart and said, "Even with my past and knowing what I've done? Even knowing that I'm still part alien?"

"I'm still here after knowing all of that for quite a while now so offhand I'd say yes. You're a wonderful person, Michelle. I don't judge on who you used to be but on who you are right now, and I don't care about the alien thing at all. I still love you no matter who or what you are. Do you want me to marry you now? Is that it?" Mark said looking a little anxious.

"No. Not now. I just wanted to know that you would do it someday. I just wanted to know that I could have a regular life too . . . and a child someday. You think that I deserve one, right?" Michelle said.

"Yes, you deserve all of that and more, Michelle. I will marry you one day. You can count on that. I'm just not ready for that yet. I'm sorry. I'm just . . .," Mark apologized.

Michelle kissed him and said, "No, no. Don't apologize. I'm not ready for it yet either. I just wanted to know that it's coming, okay? I just wanted to know that you won't leave."

"Never," Mark said as he returned her kiss.

Michelle's happy moment was about to spoiled however as her phone rang and Rose said, "Michelle, Fenric was Alex just like I thought. He left before I could stop him though. Now I think he's planning something against the Wolves because their phone lines are down, and UNIT HQ has been put into lockdown with all of the power cut off."

Michelle had a sickening feeling in her stomach as she said, "You can't get in to help them either, can you?"

"No, UNIT HQ has been covered in Vortex shielding recently on the outside to prevent Vortex users from teleporting inside thanks to the War Lord. Now it might just come back to haunt them," Rose said.

"It can't prevent me from getting inside. UNIT HQ is just full of mirrors," Michelle said grinning.

"I know. That's why I called. Get in there, Michelle. They're going to need you I bet," Rose warned.

As soon as Michelle hung up, Mark kissed her and said, "Good luck. I expect you back in one piece when you're through."

"I promise. I'll still be the same as always," Michelle said not knowing at all if she was telling him the truth or not.

Then she immediately disappeared into the Mirror Verse as she prepared to pick up Rose first before invading the Bad Wolves' base. Mark's hopeful look immediately turned to worry for her as she left.

"Please come back," Mark said in a terrified voice.

Meanwhile back in UNIT HQ, Michelle and Rose arrived just in time to see that the whole base was filled with vampires! There were fish vampires, Plasmavores, Haemovores, regular vampires, and everything in-between. Rose knew right then and there that it was Fenric's doing and cursed herself for confronting him like she had. She had brought this about herself.

As the two women pushed forward further and further into the base in search of the Bad Wolves, in the lab April was being nearly overwhelmed by hundreds of vampires attacking her at once while she tried to hold them back with her powers. Donna, Lee, and Lauren meanwhile were all doing their best to help her while Kallista just stood there in absolute shock.

She couldn't believe that all of this was happening to her. It couldn't be real. It just couldn't.

"Kallista, remember! You've got to! I need your help!" April shouted.

"I – I don't though. I'm sorry. I don't!" Kallista said in tears.

"Kallista, now would be a good time," Donna said as she used her Vortex Laptop against the vampires to disintegrate some of them with a concentrated laser attack which worked surprisingly well since it was made out of light.

"I'm not her. I'm not," Kallista protested.

"Mum!" Lauren screamed as several of the vampires pulled her away from the others.

"Kallista, please!" Donna pleaded as she watched Lauren getting further and further away from her.

Something snapped in Kallista's mind then, and she suddenly remembered. She remembered everything.

Rose and Michelle arrived just in time to see Kallista start to attack the vampires with a huge smile on her face as Vortex energy poured out of her in waves. Rose finally knew who she was at last, and it almost floored her.

Of course! It had to be her.

"I'm probably not who you were expecting, huh?" the woman who used to be Kallista said to Rose who looked at her with a huge smile on her face.

"There's no time for a reunion. You need to go get my daughter. Hurry!" Donna said in a blind panic.

"Zut alors! It's so good to be back! Don't worry, Donna. I won't let anything happen to Lauren. I never let you down in my universe and I'm not about to start now in this one," the Jenny Tyler of the previous universe said as she rushed toward the vampires holding Lauren with a cry of joy.

Next: It's Kallista/Jenny versus the vampires alongside the Bad Wolves and April as they struggle to retake the base from them. Meanwhile Dorothy tries to find out what happened to her memories. Why couldn't she remember who Kallista was? Who tampered with her mind in the first place and why? It all leads into the final showdown between Fenric and the Bad Wolves next time as Fenric and Rosanna carry out a plan that will bring about the end of the human race as we know it if it succeeds. Oh, and will Donna ever get her night alone with Lee or will the universe get a black eye? Donna would do it somehow I'm sure!
