FENRIC'S NEW QUEEN
In the aftermath of the fight with Dracula, the Wolves had all decided to go their own separate ways for a while in order to enjoy a much deserved break. One of them wouldn't be coming back after the break though. Now that Dracula had been dealt with and Martha was well enough after the pregnancy to completely take over again, Rose had officially stepped down and handed the leadership role back to her.
Martha could have sworn Rose was almost giddy about that. She knew that Rose had never liked being a leader of anything despite how well she always took to the job. She was too much like the Doctor that way. She would rather travel than lead any day of the week (if that phrase could ever truly be applied to a Time Lord who could always travel to another day of the week if they didn't like it).
As Martha's first official act back as the team leader, she decided that even after they all returned that they wouldn't have another mission awaiting them at first. Instead they would all have a wedding to go to instead. Everyone in the group was going to show up to Joan and John's wedding and River Song, Donald Noble, Victoria Waterfield, and several others (including the Seventh Doctor who had told Joan that he wouldn't miss it for the universe and made John extremely jealous in the process as a result) were coming as well. After weeks and weeks of constant psychological warfare by Dracula in addition to that whole mess with the Weaver, it seemed like a good idea to have at least a few days of celebration to balance all of that out with for a while.
Martha was about to find out before too long though that trouble never left the Bad Wolves alone for long and definitely never would for that long.
For now though, the Wolves were enjoying a temporary and much needed moment of peace. Well, most of them were anyway.
Donna Noble, however, definitely was not. Not only had she failed to protect Lilith and couldn't get that off of her mind no matter what Lilith said about it not being her fault, but she was also bothered by this strange new telekinetic power of hers that she had absolutely no control over whatsoever. So she did what she had always done all of her life whenever something was bothering her.
She went to see her grandfather.
As she landed her TARDIS outside of his home, she couldn't help but think just how absurd and yet wonderful at the same time that her life was now. Once she was just a temp in Chiswick (To be fair, she was the greatest temp in Chiswick!) but she had never really been that important not even to herself. Then she had met the Doctor, and he had shown her things that she would never have believed were possible in a million years. She had even saved the universe once and despite that whole horrible time without her memories she had gone on to help many other people over and over again throughout time and space. She was even a Time Lord now. You couldn't have a much bigger change than that.
She was still the same person on the inside though despite all of that. She was still filled with self-doubt and a constant feeling that at the end of the day despite every that she had done that she was still just a big nobody. In her heart, she still felt that she was nothing.
Sometimes like now that feeling threatened to completely overwhelm her. Every time that she felt that way she always knew how to make herself feel better though. Or rather she knew the one person who could always make her feel better anyway.
And now there were two people who had that power. Luckily for her, they were both living in the same place.
As soon as Donna stepped outside of the TARDIS, she saw Calliope waiting for her. Calliope had a warm smile on her face as she wrapped her arms around her and hugged her.
"What was that for, Gran?" Donna asked as she tried to play innocent.
"Lilith told me all about what happened, Donna. She also told me how you're blaming yourself for it and why you shouldn't be. I added two and two together and knew that you'd come here to talk about it. I decided to start early and give you a hug ahead of time because I knew that you'd need one," Calliope said.
"Thanks for the sentiment but I'm not sure that I deserve it. It's starting to become more and more clear to me that unlike you I'm just not cut out to be a mother," Donna said in a sad voice.
"That's absolute nonsense, Donna, and you know it. You're going to be a great mother. I already know that because I've met Lauren, and she turned out great. Someone had to raise her, and logic tells me that someone must have been you. Get what I'm trying to say here?" Calliope said with a grin as she kissed Donna's forehead and smiled at her.
Donna smiled as she started to feel better already while she said, "Yeah, I get it, Gran, but I still worry about it despite knowing all of that, you know? I may not know much about being a Time Lady, but I do know that time is always in flux and can always change at any time. I can still screw things up and ruin Lauren or Lilith's lives at any moment."
"Donna, you're not going to ruin anything, alright? Stop it. Just get all of that out of your head right now, okay? Whatever happened to you to make you doubt yourself so much, huh?" Calliope said as she put a comforting arm around Donna.
Donna could feel the love pouring forth from Calliope, and it made her start to smile. Calliope was already working her magic on her and making her feel better without even half trying.
"Life happened, Gran. I failed at one thing after another until I met the Doctor, and then I lost my memories and started to fail once again. I mean look at what happened to my marriage. Saving the universe at the Medusa Cascade was the one and only time that I got everything right in my life," Donna said.
"What about now, Donna? I wouldn't say that you're an absolute failure now by any means. You're happily married to Lee, you're the head of a team that saves lives all over the world, and you have a new daughter who is absolutely devoted to you and another one on the way who I know is going to turn out to be just as great as her mum. Things seem to be going pretty good for you now I'd say," Calliope pointed out.
"Yeah, until I screw it all up somehow," Donna said.
"Donna, sweetheart, don't talk like that," Wilf said as he finally came outside at last.
"Why not? It's true isn't it? It isn't just my past track record either, Granddad. Now I have this new power that I can't control and who knows what's going on there? It seems to be activated by anger like it was when I used it to save Lilith. What if next time something good doesn't come out of it though? What if . . . What if I accidentally use it to hurt someone . . . like the baby? That's why I'm here. I want Gran to teach me how to control it or at least help me get rid of it somehow," Donna said in a scared voice as she finally admitted what had really been bothering her now at last.
Wilf and Calliope exchanged a brief glance as Wilf said, "Donna, darling, what's happening is completely natural from what Callie has been telling me about a Time Lord's powers. You have nothing to worry about. There's training that you can get to control this sort of thing, and then you'll be able to do things like throw all of your enemies across the room with it in no time. You might start to even think that it's fun. It kind of sounds like it might be fun to levitate a remote to your hand across the room come to think of it when you want to change the channel. I might ask you to do that for me sometime when I'm too tired to get up to get it."
Wilf laughed at that and Donna smiled at him and embraced him as she said, "You know I would too if I ever get to that point, Granddad. That's really why I'm here. I wanted to see you, but I also wanted to ask for help from . . . Wait a minute? Did you just call Gran Callie?"
Donna smiled at Wilf in amusement as he said with a soft smile, "Yeah, I've kind of grown used to calling her that lately. She seems to like it or at least she hasn't tried to knock me out yet over it anyway."
Calliope gave him a loving smile as she said, "I don't mind it all, Wilf. If you were worried about it, all you had to do was ask. Believe me, sweetheart, I'll let you know if you make me angry. You won't have to wonder about it."
"That's just it though. You've never been angry with me before. I guess I kind of thought that maybe you didn't have much of a temper, darling," Wilf said.
Calliope began to laugh hysterically at that as both Wilf and Donna looked at her in surprise.
She was still laughing when she pulled Wilf close to her and gave him a tender kiss. She smiled at him and then held him close to her as she desperately tried to regain her composure.
"Did I say something wrong?" Wilf asked.
"It seemed like you said something funny to me," Donna said with a smile.
Calliope kissed the bewildered looking Wilf again as she said to him in a reassuring tone, "No, dear, you didn't do anything wrong. That's the point really. Believe it or not, I've never gotten really, truly angry at you in all of the time that I've been with you. Not once. It's because you're such a sweet, loving man. You're so good to me and my children that I've never had any reason to be really mad at you. Whenever I really am truly angry though, you'll know it believe me. You've seen the Doctor when he gets mad, right?"
Both Wilf and Donna nodded with a shiver, and Calliope put an arm around both of them as she said with a wicked grin, "He gets that from my side of the family."
Wilf began to look worried now but Calliope quickly reassured him with a kiss as she said, "I love you too much, Wilf. I don't think you'll ever have to worry about seeing me that angry. Even if I ever am for some reason, that would never change how I feel about you, okay?"
Wilf nodded and smiled at her as she said, "Now can we get back to helping out Donna now?"
"Well, you're the one who threw things off track by laughing, Gran," Donna said.
"So I did. Well, now I'm putting things right back on track again by getting straight to the point. You came here to be trained by me in the use of your powers didn't you, sweetie?" Calliope said.
"Yes, I did because I don't trust anyone else. Rose told me that you and K'anpo were masters at telekinesis when I talked to her about it. She said that I needed to get help from one of you. I like K'anpo but I don't want just anyone rooting around in my brain. I have a lot of personal things in that that I'd like to stay personal if you know what I mean. That's why I came here to ask you to help me, Gran. Can you find out what's happening to me and help me to control it or hopefully to get rid of it?" Donna asked.
Calliope nodded as she said, "Of course I can, sweetie. Are you sure that you want me in your mind though? I could accidentally wind up finding out all of your deepest, darkest secrets while I'm trying to get a look at what's happening to you. I'd never tell anyone else about them of course, but I'd still know them."
Donna nodded as she said, "I know but I doesn't matter. I don't mind you being in my mind, Gran. You're not a stranger to me. Not anymore. You're family. You're . . ."
Donna hesitated and said, "I don't know if I should say this or not because I don't want to upset my mother."
"It's alright, Donna. Neither of us is going to tell her a thing. You just say whatever you want, alright?" Wilf said.
Donna nodded and said to Calliope, "You're like the mother that I always wanted. I love my mother and I always will, but she was never as reassuring and loving as you are. You've always make me feel good about myself, and I'd really like to thank you for that."
Wilf smiled as Calliope began to tear up and hugged her tightly. Wilf had suspected for a while now that Donna had thought of his Callie as her second mother, but to have it finally confirmed for him like this warmed his heart. He was so glad for both of them that it had finally come out in the open now.
"What happened, Dad?" Emmy asked Wilf as she came outside to join them while holding Kimberly's hand.
"Donna finally told your mother how she really felt about her," Wilf said as he continued to smile.
"Oh, that. I already knew that. It's been obvious to me and Lil for a while now. Donna thinks of Mum as being like her mother too," Emmy said in a nonchalant manner.
"It doesn't bother you then?" Wilf asked.
Emmy shook her head as she said, "No. I like Donna. It's not like I'm jealous or anything. In fact, I think it's great. With all due respect, Sylvia really did a number on that girl. She needs my mother in order to undo what she did to her. I'm sorry. I don't want to talk badly about her. It's just . . . It just needed saying is all."
Wilf nodded and said, "It's alright, darling. It's not completely Sylvia's fault. She . . . She lost both her mother and her brother while she was young, and it . . . it made her close off her feelings and bottle them up. It really affected her and made it hard for her to tell people how she really felt about them. She does love Donna though. I know that for a fact."
"I never doubted that. I'm just not sure that Donna was ever completely sure of that or not," Emmy said.
"I know," Wilf said sadly knowing that Sylvia likely hadn't meant to be so cold to Donna while she was growing up, but it had still happened all the same.
That was the main reason that Donna felt so worthless and had such a bad self-esteem problem all of her life. Wilf had recognized the problem early on when she was still young and had always showered her with as much love as he could to compensate for it, but there was only so much that he could do since he wasn't her mother and never could replace her in Donna's life. Maybe now Donna could get what she needed from Callie and hopefully someday from Sylvia herself who he knew was at least trying to become better about expressing herself now ever since Donna had told her that she was a Time Lady.
Calliope was smiling like a child now and practically walking on air as she came up to Wilf and Emmy and said, "I'm going to link with Donna and see if I can help her find out what's going on. Then I'll see if I can help her deal with it. I think that it's her nascent powers as a Time Lady slowly surfacing at last, and she just isn't used to them because she didn't go to the Academy to learn how to control them like all natural Time Lords do. We all have some kind of telekinetic ability, but most of us don't have it as strong as I or K'anpo do. Maybe Donna is a master telekinetic just like me. I'd really love that."
"Do you think that she might have other abilities too that she doesn't know about? Maybe she'll be good at mind control," Emmy wondered.
"Possibly. Theta has some talent at that but I was never that good at it myself. If she needs training in that, I'll probably have to send her to . . . Lily," Calliope said with a bad taste in her mouth.
"Now come on, darling. You know that you love Lily," Wilf said with a smile.
"Yes, I love her, dear, but I also can't stand her at the same time. We're like the original frenemies. I'd die for her you know that. I can't be around her for more than a few minutes though or I'll automatically start fighting with her. It's complicated," Calliope said.
Wilf shook his head at her as Donna said, "Well come on, Gran. I haven't got all day you know? I need to get this under control right now."
Wilf and Calliope laughed as Wilf said, "I see that she's feeling better now. She's back to being her old self already."
"Of course she is. We always know how to cheer her up, dear," Calliope said.
Then she looked at him seriously for a moment as she said, "Have you thought over what we talked about last night yet?"
Donna looked at them with a worried expression on her face as she said, "What do you mean? What is it? Are you alright, Granddad?"
Wilf and Calliope both nodded their heads quickly as Wilf said, "It's not like that, darling. I'm fine. It's just that I won't be here forever and . . . well, I wanted to watch Kim grow up which would take a long time since it takes decades for a Time Lord to become an adult."
Donna's eyes widened as she said, "Do you mean that you're thinking about taking Rose's potion that will make you into a Time Lord?"
Wilf nodded as he said, "Yes, but I haven't decided yet. I'm not sure how Sylvia would react to it, and I wasn't sure how you'd feel."
Donna smiled as she said, "I'm all for it. I don't want you going anywhere either. Maybe you could hold off on the regenerating bit though. I don't want a completely different Granddad anytime soon. I like the one that I've already got."
"So do I," Calliope said firmly.
Wilf seemed to relax somewhat now as he said, "Well, that just leaves Sylvia to talk to about it then."
"So you've already decided?" Donna asked.
"Not yet but I was going to after I talked to your mother about it. I just wanted to see how she would feel about it first," Wilf admitted.
Donna looked at him intently as she said, "You've got to do what makes you happy, Granddad. That's all that matters in the end. You have to do what you want or you'll always regret it. Don't listen to me or anyone else about that. Hang us. Just figure out how you feel first, okay?"
Wilf smiled and chuckled as he said, "That's my Donna. Always telling it like it is."
"I try. I learned it from the best after all, "Donna said as she kissed his cheek.
"For goodness sake, Mum. Start with the link already before I get sick from all the sweetness around here. It's too sweet isn't it, Kim?" Emmy said as she made silly faces at her little sister making her laugh.
"Sweet," Kimberly repeated with a giggle.
"That's right. They're too nice and cuddly. They're not rough and tough like us," Emmy said as she hugged her.
Donna couldn't help but watch the little girl with a wistful expression on her face. She was going to have a daughter of her own just like her soon enough now. She still couldn't believe that. She also couldn't believe just how much she wanted that now. She wanted it so much that it hurt and couldn't wait for Lauren to arrive now.
Maybe this whole motherhood thing was going to work out for her after all.
That's when she felt a pair of eyes staring into her and turned around to see the grown-up Lauren smiling at her.
"And this is the moment when you finally knew that you would be a good mum because you loved me too much not to be. You always told me about it, and now I finally get to see it for myself at last," Lauren said.
"Is that why you've been avoiding me? You were trying to make sure that I'd come to that conclusion myself?" Donna asked.
Lauren nodded as she said, "I didn't want to mess anything up."
"You're not stuttering," Donna finally noticed with a smile.
Lauren looked surprised as she said, "No, I'm not. I guess . . . I guess I'm finally at ease around you now."
"Are you kidding me? You were nervous around me? I'm your mum. What did you have to be nervous about?" Donna said in disbelief.
"I didn't know whether you'd like me or not. You haven't watched me growing up yet after all. You really don't know me at all," Lauren admitted.
Donna smiled at her warmly as she said, "How could I not like you?"
Then she hugged Lauren tightly and Wilf could see it already. Donna was never going to turn out like Sylvia. He was so grateful for that.
"All that worrying for nothing," Calliope whispered to him in agreement.
Then it was time to begin to finally find out what was going on with Donna at last as Calliope placed her hands on both sides of her head as Donna did the same to her. The two women then freely opened their minds to one another, and Calliope began to completely explore Donna's unfettered psyche.
Calliope looked at Donna in surprise as she said, "You're a powerful telekinetic just like we thought, sweetie, but you also have a number of abilities that haven't even started to manifest themselves yet. You're also going to potentially have most if not all of the regular Time Lord abilities like precognition, telepathy, and astral projection. You're even going to have psychometry which is a really rare one. I have no idea how powerful they'll all be just yet because they haven't started to show themselves. You're just like a Time Tot that only slowly reveals what they can do as they get older and their body matures. I'll try to help you all that I can though of course. Don't worry, Donna. This is all completely natural, and I can teach you exactly how to keep it under control."
Donna smiled with relief even as she said, "Are you calling me a kid, Gran?"
"Only in your biological development, sweetie. I'd never dare to say otherwise to you," Calliope said with a huge grin on her face.
"You'd better not," Donna joked with a fake angry look on her face.
"See what I mean, Kim? Way too sweet," Emmy said with a chuckle.
Even as Donna was beginning to feel much better about herself, Alina was still filled with worry as she and Stefania slowly made their way to the secret vampire hunter stronghold of Masada. The inhabitants however didn't want even a vampire who was a proven ally like Alina to be allowed inside after the mess that had happened the last time that the Wolves came. She could hardly blame them for that so she willingly accepted the compromise of having someone from Masada meet her just outside its gates without any fight on the matter.
She didn't care what she had to do or how far she had to go in order to restore her sister's mind back to her once more. If it was still even capable of being restored that is which was really starting to worry her.
As Alina finally arrived at Masada's front gate while leading the mindless Stefania by the hand with her, a nervous looking guard who looked like he was still just a kid stopped her and said, "I assume since you're not trying to attack me that you are the one that we were told to expect. I really hope so anyway."
Alina wondered if all of the veteran guards had left after the last mess. Or perhaps their fates hadn't been that pleasant. She preferred not to think about that too much as it just made her feel guilty for asking for any help from them at all.
Alina gave him her most disarming smile as she said, "That's right so don't worry about it, alright? I definitely don't bite these days. Not humans anyway. I'll just wait out here like I agreed on. How soon do you think that it'll be for someone to come and talk to me?"
"How about right now?" A voice said as the gates suddenly opened for a brief moment and Mina Harker slipped outside just before they slammed shut once again.
Alina smiled as she said, "I'm so glad that it was you that came. You're the only one here that I trust not to try something nasty to her especially after that whole thing with Fenric."
"I try to keep an open mind about benevolent vampires, Alina, despite our past together. You did try to kill my husband once after all," Mina said.
"That wasn't really me but for what it's worth I truly am sorry about that," Alina said apologetically.
"I believe you or I wouldn't even be here," Mina said.
The guard however looked at them both in shock as he said to Alina, "So you're . . . you're one of Dracula's wives? The ones from the book?"
Alina nodded with a frown as she said, "Yes, and thanks to that bloody book and all of those movies and TV shows I never can fully live that whole thing down. I'm about as notorious as they come."
The guard's face turned completely white and then he passed out right on the spot as Alina sighed and said to Mina, "That happens to me a lot more than you might think. Don't you have any real guards these days, Mina?"
"I'm afraid not. He's probably one of the best I'm sad to say. Fenric really damaged us. That's one reason that I want to help you. We need all of the allies that we can get now," Mina said.
"Well, you can always count on me especially if you can help to fix her mind back to normal again," Alina assured her.
"I'll certainly try. You know that I'm not a full vampire of course but I have studied their techniques and abilities more than anyone except possibly Abraham so if anyone can undo whatever Dracula did then I can," Mina assured her.
Alina moved aside as Mina began to stare deeply into Stefania's eyes now. Mina slowly began to infiltrate Stefania's mind to see what if anything was still there to be unlocked once more even as Alina began to pace back and forth with anxiety.
This just had to work. It had to.
Meanwhile at that very moment, Fenric and the Doctor were playing one another in a symbolic chess game in the dimension that the Great Old Ones sometimes used to play games in known as the Board. The Doctor then suddenly noticed to his alarm that they were no longer alone there anymore.
He now saw that the Celestial Toymaker and his sister Hecuba had both joined them there. They weren't making any threatening moves yet, but they were both smiling at him ominously.
Fenric laughed as he said, "Worried, Time Lord? You should be but not of them. I'm the only one that you should be worried about at the moment."
"What worries me is whatever game that you're playing with them. They couldn't be here for any other reason. What is the prize in the game between you and them?" The Doctor asked not really expecting an answer.
Fenric smiled as he said, "When I win, you'll find out, Doctor. Believe me."
"Oh, I wouldn't count on winning the game just yet, Fenric. Somebody else might just win it first even before all of you," Victoria Waterfield said as she suddenly appeared next to the Doctor and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"You were not invited here," Fenric said in irritation.
Victoria shrugged as she said, "Like it or not, I am the Great Intelligence now so that makes me one of you and that allows me to be here even by your own rules. Besides that I learned a long time ago that I'm allowed everywhere. An old friend of mine taught me that."
Victoria smiled at the Doctor even as he asked, "Do you know what's going on with those two?"
"Not yet but I will. Don't worry. I'm going to find out everything," Victoria reassured him.
Fenric smirked as he said, "I highly doubt that. Even if you are one of the Doctor's Children of Time, that still won't give you any advantage against me. I've been playing games since well before your universe even existed, child. You'll never find out what I'm really doing if I don't want you to no matter whose power that you've stolen."
"I learned from my father a long time ago to never say never about anything, Fenric," Victoria said obstinately.
"Are we going to continue the game, Time Lord, or am I to waste more time arguing with your underling? Is this your way of trying to win by distracting me with one of your precious humans in the hopes that she'll irritate me so much that I'll make a mistake?" Fenric asked in irritation.
"Hardly. If you make a mistake, it'll be because you are and always have been an intergalactic idiot of the highest order despite your overblown reputation," The Doctor said bluntly.
Victoria laughed as she said, "You really don't pull any punches in this incarnation do you?"
"Certainly not. Why should I? Call a spade a spade I say. I call out all of the idiots and pudding brains that are out there," The Doctor said with the briefest hints of a smile at the corners of his mouth that quickly faded.
Fenric glared at him as he said, "If I'm such an idiot, Doctor, then why have I already slipped the newest piece in the game right by you without your even noticing it then?"
Suddenly one of Fenric's pawns was swiftly moved to the Doctor's last row in a very clever move and it became a Queen instantly. Fenric smiled as the Doctor realized immediately what that symbolized.
"You had a secret pawn in the Wolves' midst the entire time didn't you? You're going to replace Dracula with them as your new representative on Earth," The Doctor said in alarm.
"That's right. Can you guess who yet? I'll give you a hint," Fenric said as he suddenly showed the Doctor and Victoria a scene of Mina, Stefania, and Alina at Masada.
The Doctor groaned as he said, "I'm the one who's an idiot now. Why didn't I see that sooner?"
"Luckily I did, Doctor. Well, I suspected it anyway, and I sent someone to help just in case," Victoria said.
"Who?" The Doctor asked surprised.
"You'll see. I liked her first name so much that I just couldn't resist asking her for help," Victoria said with a smile.
The Doctor nodded as he said, "Of course. She'd make the perfect choice I think."
"I thought so," Victoria said.
"What are you talking about?" Fenric said clearly not amused by this.
"Watch," Victoria said confidently as she gestured towards the scene that Fenric was showing them.
Back on Earth that very scene carried itself out in real time as Mina suddenly stiffened and said, "No! No!"
"What is it?" Alina asked in a worried voice.
"Your sister's mind has been twisted and subverted. She's working for someone else and has been since she returned. She's been faking being brain dead this entire time just to get here!" Mina warned.
She was immediately grabbed by the throat by Stefania who smiled wickedly at her sister as she said, "That's right. I've just been playing possum I'm afraid, dear. Sorry that I couldn't tell you sooner, but you know how it is. I had places to go and people to kill and only acting like I needed Mina's help would allow me to get to them."
"What did he do to you?" Alina said in a devastated voice as she looked at her sister in absolute horror.
"It wasn't Dracula, Sister. It was my true master, Fenric. He commanded that I destroy Masada no matter what I had to do in order to accomplish it, and I've done exactly that. Now that I'm finally here no one is going to keep me from going through those doors. Not even you," Stefania said.
"You don't mean that. You can't," Alina said.
Stefania suddenly backhanded Alina several yards away as she said in a cold, uncaring voice, "Yes, I'm afraid I do, Sister. So sorry."
Now she turned to Mina with a malicious grin as she said, "Now you're going to let me inside or I'm going to have to find a really creative way of making you do it. Either way's good with me I must say."
"Leave her alone," A woman's voice called out from behind her.
She swiftly turned around to see a werewolf of all people standing there staring her down with intense yellow eyes.
"You? I thought that you had hit the road a long time ago," Stefania said with a smirk.
"I did but a friend of the Wolves with a really great first name told me that I was needed here, and it looks like she was right. I showed up not a moment too soon by the looks of it," Victoria Collins, The Wolf Queen, said as she stared at her former ally defiantly.
"Oh, you're about to find out that you've just made the worst and the last mistake of your life," Stefania said as her entire body began to glow with power.
Alina slowly made her way back to the scene even as she watched this in horror while it finally came to her that Stefania was Fenric's puppet now and had been completely changed by him. What was left of her heart began to break as she wondered if the person that she knew would ever come back to her now.
Alina slowly pulled out a cell phone as she watched Stefania and the Wolf Queen about to fight one another and called Donna immediately.
"Donna, this is Alina. Bring the Wolves to Masada. Now or there may not be any of it left to visit!" Alina said as soon as Donna answered.
Next: Fenric's game begins in deadly earnest as the Wolves reassemble and arrive at Masada to stop Stefania. Can she still be saved from Fenric's control or is it already far too late for her? For that matter, will anyone even be able to stop her much less save her? What are the Toymaker and Hecuba up to with Fenric anyway? We'll find out more about that next time as well. Oh and Wilf visits Sylvia. What will she say?
