THE FIRST WINDS OF THE STORM START TO BLOW

Missy had been hopping from one universe to another in a completely random pattern for some time now while deliberately trying to lose anyone who might be looking for her. She now hoped that she had successfully eluded everyone since she hadn't seen any signs of anyone coming after her so she had finally decided to take a chance by coming to her true goal at last.

She smiled to herself with triumph as she arrived on the planet Chaos, the home of the Chaos Pool. This was the place where the Key to Time had been forged, and its waters were filled with reality manipulating powers of their own.

The planet's location was a carefully guarded secret that few people knew about but Missy knew. She had always made her business to know things that could lead her to absolute control over everything one day. Now that information might be just about to come in handy she hoped as she paused right in front of the powerful waters.

"Well? Are you going in or not?" The Matriarch asked as she suddenly appeared out of nowhere next to her.

"How did you know about this place?" Missy asked in surprise as she hadn't shared this part of her plan with anyone not even Nightshade.

"I'm from the future, remember? I know about a lot of things that would still be a complete secret to everyone in this time. So you think that the waters of the pool can recharge the energy of the shield is that it? You might just be right. What do you plan on doing with it if it does? Or more to the point what were you planning on doing to me and Bella?" The Matriarch asked pointedly.

Missy said nothing but the evil smile that filled her face spoke volumes.

"Uh huh. That's what I thought. No one ever could trust you could they? Not even poor old Seb and he's just a computer program. You don't think that I'm about to just stand by and let you have near infinite power do you? Not when I could have it for myself at any rate," The Matriarch said with a frown as she began to glow with power.

Missy smiled even wider now and began to laugh hysterically as she said, "Did you really think that I was just standing here, you idiot? I wasn't hesitating, Clara. I was recharging the shield! Now it's completely back to its full power once more!"

The Matriarch's eyes widened in horror just before Missy unleashed a massive blast of energy from her hand and hit her directly in the chest with it. The Matriarch began screaming as his entire body was being torn apart while Missy laughed with glee.

"Never trust any version of Clara Oswald I say. Not even an evil one. All of you are far too much into control for its own sake for me to ever think that you would be satisfied to be subordinate to me or anyone else for long. So you see Matriarch, Clara, or whoever you are I already had your eventual betrayal planned from the very beginning. It was always going to go down like this, dear, whether you realized it or not. Now say something nice before you no longer have a mouth to speak with, okay? It would really make my day complete," Missy said with giddy laughter.

"Do you know what would make my day complete, Scary Poppins? For you to shut up!" Donna said from behind her.

Missy quickly turned around in surprise to see that the Bad Wolves, Stefania, Victoria Waterfield, and the Great Intelligence were all standing behind her.

"So Fenric finally figured it out did he? Funny how mortal enemies can suddenly fight side by side when they know that they're all on the same hit list isn't it? It kind of blurs the lines between the good guys and the bad guys when they both know that they're just about to get the chop. It's far too late for you to stop me now I'm afraid. I finally have the power that the Great Old Ones have sought for so long in my hands at last, and now this universe and every other one will soon bow down to me!" Missy screamed with a mad gleam in her eyes.

Then she began to grow larger and larger as she was covered by an aura of dark energy. Her laughter filled the entire area now while everyone started to attack her with everything that they had.

"You still don't understand do you? It's useless to resist me. I've won. Now I've finally earned my name at last. I . . . am your Master! The Master of everyone!" Missy screamed as she began attacking the others with a massive blast of energy that sent them all flying away like leaves in the wind.

"Oh, no you don't, Crazy Lady. It's not going to be that easy to get rid of me. Hopefully I won't be about to say the same thing about you though," Donna said as she stood right in the middle of the energy blast while protected by a force field from her Vortex Laptop.

Then Donna suddenly created a temporal rift behind Missy with her Vortex Laptop that swallowed the evil Time Lady whole before she could even lift a finger to defend herself.

The Matriarch fell to the ground unconscious but otherwise alright while Donna said, "Well, that wasn't anywhere near as hard as you said it was going to be, Fenric Girl."

"Do you really think that it would be that easy?" Stefania said as she looked at her like she had completely lost her mind.

"Face it, Fenric Girl. You just can't stand it that I won and you didn't. Now do you really want to fight the woman who just beat the Master single-handedly or do you want to give up now while you still can?" Donna said with an angry look on her face as her fingers lingered over the keys on her Laptop while she prepared to attack Stefania next.

"You stupid fool! Don't you understand? The only reason that you were able to do that to her was because she was still unskilled in the use of her new power," Stefania said.

"So? That means that she's trapped then because she doesn't know how to come back," Donna said.

"You can't possibly believe that can you? Not even you're that thick are you?" Stefania said in disbelief.

"Donna, I think she means that Missy's a quick learner," Ileana said.

"Oh, you mean . . . Oh, boy!" Donna said as she realized what was about to happen.

Suddenly Donna was being rendered almost senseless by massive lightning bolts hitting her body in waves so quickly that she couldn't even register just how much pain that she was in. In just a matter of moments, she was about to pass out as Missy stood there with a sinister grin on her face while she roasted her alive.

"So you were once the most important woman in all of creation, huh? Well, you certainly don't live up to that title anymore do you? I think I'll take it from you. You don't mind do you?" Missy said as she continued to mercilessly pummel Donna with her new power.

"Let her go!" Victoria Waterfield shouted as she sent Missy flying with a single gesture.

"Donna! Donna! No!" Calliope screamed as Donna lay on the ground unmoving and burnt from head to toe.

Calliope had just watched her daughter die and now the woman that she thought of as another daughter might be just about to join her at any moment now. She quickly checked her to see if she was still breathing even as she tried not to think about what that attack might have done to the baby.

Even as this was going on in the background, Missy now returned with a vengeance and began to attack everyone else at once with the same lightning bolts that she had just used on Donna. She started to drive Victoria back with one punishing attack after another as she laughed uncontrollably at her inability to stop her.

"What does it take for you people to get this through your heads? I'm unbeatable now. I guess I'll just have to show you won't I? You really want to see what you're up against? Let me give you a sample," Missy said as she started to incinerate Victoria with a snap of her fingers.

Victoria screamed as she began to start burning alive from the inside out. Then suddenly the damage was completely undone as Kallista instantly healed her. Now she and Dorothy both stood between Missy and the others protectively as Missy looked them up and down as if sizing them up.

"You two always think that you're such hot stuff don't you? You with your mommy's Vortex powers and you with your weird powers from before time began. You know what though. You're both an absolute joke to me now. Do you want to know what I think of your so-called powers? Let me show you," Missy said as she started to glow with power.

Suddenly to her complete and utter surprise, Dorothy felt herself starting to lose power. She could actually feel her connection to the Vortex being closed at that very moment.

Kallista gasped too as she could feel her own powers being stripped from her. She could no longer do anything now.

"What did you do to us, you crazy freak?" Dorothy asked in an outraged voice.

Missy grinned as she said, "Well, it's simple really. I just changed the very laws of the universe much like your mummy does. It's not too hard to do when you finally have the mojo to do it with and a new cosmic understanding of exactly how the universe works thanks to that power. I've just cut your connection to the Vortex down so much that you only have enough to live off of now. I could have cut it off completely but where would be the fun in that? I want to kill you slowly and painfully not quickly and easily. That's much more entertaining isn't it? As for Kallista, I altered the rules of this reality so that she no longer has powers here just because she's from a previous universe whose laws of physics were different from this one. It's child's play really."

"You won't get away with this. I don't care how powerful you are now. My mum will still beat you even if we don't," Dorothy promised.

"Not if I take her power too and I will be able to very soon now. All I have to do is get near her. Soon though, I'll be able to do it even from a distance. I'm growing in my knowledge of how my power works more and more by the moment now. Soon I'll be able to even take Miss Rosie Posie down from anywhere I please in the blink of an eye," Missy said.

"That's all the more reason for me to kill you right now then while I still can," Stefania said as she began to attack Missy with every ounce of power that she possessed.

Missy laughed as nothing the vampire did even so much as scratched her and said, "You can't kill me now, little girl. Don't you get that? None of you can. I can definitely kill you though whether you have Fenric's power or not. It's not going to save you. Nothing will now."

Then Missy completely disintegrated Stefania with beams of energy from her eyes. The vampire was completely incinerated in a matter of moments while Missy grinned with undisguised pleasure at her destruction.

"I know none of you are going to miss that girl. I certainly don't. Now I'll get rid of someone else who no one will miss. It's your turn next, GI," Missy said as she began to attack the Great Intelligence who screamed in agony at her withering barrage of energy.

"We've got to do something. She's killing everyone!" Tori said in an alarmed voice.

"I've been trying to see her true name but it's hidden even to me. Something about Time Lords makes their true names unreadable to my kind," Lilith admitted.

"Then it's up to me then," Tori said as she raced towards Missy while her Auton shell started to open up.

The Great Intelligence was already starting to fall apart and was being scattered to the cosmic winds by the mad goddess as Tori arrived. Missy now grinned in eager anticipation as she looked at this newest challenger to her coming multiversal order.

"Who are you then? Oh, wait. I see. A living star, eh? You might have been impressive to me once, little plasma girl, but now you're nothing compared to the power that I possess. Do you hear me? Nothing!" Missy shouted as she began to attack Tori next.

Tori's Auton shell was completely disintegrated by a single gesture from the mad goddess, and she now stood before her completely unprotected. In the very next moment, Missy completed absorbed Tori whole and added her energy to her own while Tori's remaining life essence slowly dissipated and died inside of her.

"Ooh, that felt good! I should eat stars more often. They ought to make that a new part of everyone's daily diet. Plasma energy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner," Missy said with a cackle.

"I won't let you do this. I can control the laws of reality too," Lilith said as she stepped up to challenge her next.

Missy regarded her with amusement as she said, "You're right. You do, little witch, but on such a lesser level compared to what I can do now. In fact, comparing you to me now is like comparing a firecracker to an atom bomb. Get the message, Carrionite? Your control of reality is nothing compared to mine. Nothing!"

Missy then incinerated the Carrionite with a single gesture. Lilith didn't even have time to even try to defend herself.

"Pitiful little worm. Did she really think that she could stand against someone with my power?" Missy said with an evil laugh.

"Nooooo!" Calliope screamed in absolute agony now.

"What are you complaining about? If you hate it so much, why don't you join her?" Missy said in a heartless voice as she began to gesture at Calliope next.

"Michelle, now!" Ileana ordered.

Michelle's eyes went opaque as she sent Missy into the MirrorVerse where she hoped that she could at least trap her long enough for the survivors of the team to come up with some way to stop her. She soon found out how foolish that idea was though as Missy immediately reappeared right behind her and incinerated her on the spot!

"Michelle!" Ileana screamed in disbelief.

"Don't worry. You're joining her next, vampire. All of you are. No one gets out of here alive," Missy said with obvious glee.

"Enough!" A voice filled with unspeakable anger shouted all around them.

Suddenly everyone who had died or been altered that day was now alive once again or completely back to normal. Even Stefania was alive once more and completely freed of Fenric's control.

"Stefania, are you okay? Do you remember me?" Alina asked as she embraced her disoriented sister.

"Yes, of course I do. I have no idea how I got here or where here is though. Other than that and feeling like I've just been torn inside out I'm just fine," Stefania said with a small smile.

The two sisters embraced happy to be alive once more or whatever vampires would call themselves.

Meanwhile a still numb Calliope was kissing both Emmy and Lilith's foreheads and holding them tightly to her. She had been through more than enough today.

The Bad Wolves were back.

At least they were for now anyway. Not that they could really do anything. Most of them were still in a severely weakened state despite having just been brought back and could do nothing to anyone at this point.

Missy looked around her for signs of her newest opponent but saw no one. She knew exactly who it was all the same though. She knew that the Doctor was watching after all. Who else would he call to save his bacon?

"Oh, so the mighty Rose Tyler finally decides to show herself at last does she? I still don't see you though. Where are you, Time Goddess? Afraid of facing me? You should be! I finally know the secret to beating you now. I can strip your Guardian and Vortex powers from you as soon as you get near me. No one can beat me now. Not even you," Missy said in a cocky tone.

After several long moments where no one showed themselves, Missy became furious. She wanted to destroy Rose once and for all. Where was she?

These heroes always showed themselves and made long boring speeches while they tried to save the day. It was something that she could always count on before. What was the sudden change in the game plan this time about?

"Where are you?! Show yourself to me! Coward!" Missy shouted in a furious voice.

"Fine. Just know this. It won't be much longer now. I'll find a way to take away even your powers no matter where you are very soon now. You can count on it. Until then, I hope you enjoy your little victory in bringing your friends back. They won't be sticking around long. I promise you that. I'm going to kill them along with everyone else who stands against me very soon now when my new unstoppable army takes on the entire multiverse. Now that I have the power to lead them in battle it's only going to take me the time it takes to learn how to use it properly before I go after everyone everywhere! Everyone will bow before me, Rose. Even you!" Missy shouted.

Then Missy turned to a still stunned Dorothy and said, "Tell her that, girl. Tell her what I did to all of you and tell her exactly what I can do to her next. Also tell her that I have her mother and her mother's little family. If she wants to see them again in one piece, she will face me. Tell her that."

Then Missy vanished even while Nightshade smiled at her. She had been watching her in secret all of this time just to see how she would react with her newfound power. She had acted exactly as she would have expected someone with her limited brain capacity to react when given godlike power.

She had also acted predictably when the Bad Wolves had suddenly been brought back to life by an unseen power. She had automatically blamed Rose Tyler and redoubled her efforts to strip her of her powers.

It had actually been Nightshade who had brought the Wolves back to life because she wanted just such a reaction from the mad Time Lady. Now Missy would lure Rose into a trap and either she would find a way to take her power or she would make Rose have to go all the way and unleash her true power in order to stop her and her new army of dead Time Lords from all realities in android bodies that she was no doubt already starting to assemble at this very moment.

Either Rose would die and lose her hold over her true power or she would be forced to unleash it to stop the threat that the new Missy now possessed to everyone. Either way, Nightshade still won. Soon all of Rose's power would be hers and then so would the entire universe.

Everything would be exactly as it used to be before the interfering Time Lady ever left Pete's World, and her great and glorious new timeline would be completely erased. A new timeline would finally be put in its place. It was one that should have been there from the start and would have been if the Time Goddess hadn't interfered.

Soon chaos would rule over everything. Nightshade would make sure of it, and she would also make sure that Rose lived just long enough to see all of her hopes and dreams being completely destroyed right in front of her.

Then and only then would she finally give her what she so richly deserved.

Nightshade teleported away with a smirk on her face while the Matriarch watched her with a thoughtful look. She knew that the loon was up to something but she wasn't quite sure what just yet.

Perhaps it was time that she made a new set of friends to help ensure her own survival she thought to herself as she too teleported away now.

Meanwhile the Wolves had absolutely no idea that all of this was going on. All that they knew was that they had just been completely trashed by Missy. Now it was time to call in the big guns.

"Dorothy, you're got to tell your mum what just happened. If she doesn't already know that is," Donna said.

"Of course she knows. She's the one who just saved us," Dorothy said.

Donna shook her head as she said, "No, Rose would come out and face Missy. She wouldn't hide like that. Something's up. Be sure and tell her that too. Warn her, Dorothy. She'll have to know that Missy having her mum is a trap but just make sure and warn her anyway. Then tell her that we'll be ready to help her if she needs us. I doubt she will but I'd like to make the offer anyway."

"Alright, I'll tell her. I'll be back as soon as I can," Dorothy said as she teleported away.

"Victoria, where did the Great Intelligence go?" Donna asked.

"I'm not sure. I think he got out while the getting was good though. I'll see him again sometime I'm sure of that. If there is a sometime that is after what almost just happened to all of us," Victoria Waterfield said in a worried voice.

"Do you think that you could get those so-called Great Old Ones to help stop Missy?" Donna asked.

"I doubt it. You didn't notice them showing up to help just now did you? They're not going to anytime soon either. They'll wait and try their own plan out before they even bother to help any of us," Victoria said.

"Then they're not as great at their names make them sound are they then? Not that I ever thought that they were anything but full of hot air in the first place calling themselves that," Donna said with a snort.

Then she began to look worried as she added, "I don't know if I blame them though. I'm not sure any of us are getting out of this one."

"We'll just see about that, Donna. Don't give up hope, okay? The Doctor will pull us all through. He always does after all," Victoria said with undisguised faith in her voice.

The Doctor meanwhile watched from the Board with a sigh. He wished he had as much faith in himself as Victoria had. He only had faith in one person though and right now she was their only chance to stop this nightmare that had just been created.

He just hoped that even Rose could defeat an all-powerful and totally insane Missy and Nightshade at once.

"Our game is ended it seems, Doctor. Our opponent was playing an entirely different game with her own rules," Fenric said.

"Yes, just like she always does," The Doctor said sadly.

"You may go now, Time Lord. Make your own plans to stop her as we will make ours," Fenric said dismissively.

The Doctor quickly got into his TARDIS and left just as the Matriarch appeared. She marched right up to a wary Fenric as she smiled warmly at him.

"Don't worry. I'm not here to fight. Missy did just try to kill me after all. Let's talk," The Matriarch said as she looked at Hecuba and the Celestial Toymaker as well as Fenric.

The Great Old Ones nodded even as an unseen Victoria watched them. What were they up to?

Donna meanwhile had returned a still highly upset Calliope back home along with a shaken Emmy and Lilith. She was greeted at the door by her Granddad who could tell in an instant that something horrible had just happened.

As soon as Donna told him what it was, Wilf became furious.

"That decides it then, doesn't it, Donna? I can't help protect Callie and the rest of my family as a feeble old man," Wilf said in a voice filled with fear and anger.

"Granddad, you couldn't do anything anyway even if you were a Time Lord. I was almost killed too and so was the rest of my team. Missy's like a force of nature now. She's like one of those hurricanes that you hear about. Massive and unstoppable," Donna said.

"I still feel like I need to be in the best shape that I can be though so that I can at least try to do something, Donna darling. I don't like feeling helpless like this while everyone else is so devastated. I need to do . . . something," Wilf said in frustration.

"Just don't take the potion just because of that, okay? It's not a good enough reason," Donna said.

"I was already going to do it anyway so that I could be there for all of you when you needed me, and this just completely settled any doubts that I still might have had about that. I want my family to survive, Donna. I'll do anything to make sure of that," Wilf said firmly.

Donna nodded and said, "I'll tell Rose then. She'll give you some of her magic go go juice as soon as she can."

Wilf nodded even as he saw that Donna had a hopeless look in her eyes.

He hugged her as he said, "Don't you give up, Donna. The Doctor and Rose will save us. They always have before, right?"

"Yeah, but even they've never faced odds like this, Granddad. Neither have I. I don't know if any of us can be saved this time. I have a feeling that this hurricane isn't going to stop until everything's been swept away," Donna said sadly.

Next: A special mini-series is coming soon that will show the final battle between Rose and the Doctor and Missy and Nightshade. Then next time in this story the devastating after effects of that battle will be felt on our team as they have to deal with it each in their own way. Donna in fact may be the most devastated one of them all on the group by what is to come. She's going to need her grandfather more than ever in the time to come . . . and so will Calliope.
