(And good to see you all again. Now that this is my only fic left at fanfiction I can focus more on this. Hope you're interested with what I have in store here.)

At the training ground, Squad Seven were busy practicing their abilities and working on combinations as well.

Naruto bended a chunk of earth up to Sakura who used her enhanced strength to punch it into two halves. They were sent in the direction of Sasuke who channeled his lightning chakra to his sword and swung it around faster than the eye can blink. The two halves of rock chunk suddenly shattered into little pebble pieces.

Naruto and Sakura stood at Sasuke's sides marveling at their combined efforts, "Man, are we awesome or what?" Naruto asked his friends.

"I'd say we're amazing." Sakura admitted.

"We're the best." Sasuke nodded.

Watching them was Kakashi who eye smiled at their progress, until Jinora approached, "Sakura and Sasuke seem better focused now that they have Naruto with them."

"Yes. It just hasn't been Squad Seven without him." Kakashi explained.

"Still your two other students managed to learn some new techniques and such while he was away. Though Sasuke particularly intrigues me most."

"How so?" Kakashi wondered.

"Exactly why did Sasuke decide to start using a sword for a weapon?"

"Well, if you'd like to know. You should ask Sasuke yourself. Why do you ask."

Jinora smiled, "Because I may have something he could make use of." Kakashi was curious, as Jinora continued to look at Sasuke as if she was seeing someone else in his place.

A few days later, Kakashi and his squad were walking up to the village, "A C-rank mission in the books." Sasuke said.

"That mob stood no chance against us." Naruto stated.

"That's because they were all talk and no walk." Sakura noted.

"You all did great." Kakashi commended them.

As they passed the gates, they saw Jinora standing there as if waiting for them, "Welcome back, everyone."

"Lady Jinora, what brings you here?" Naruto inquired.

"I'm actually here to see Sasuke." she answered.

Naruto and Sakura's eyes fell on their teammate, who was just as confused, "Me?"

"Yes. Would you come with me for a bit? Naruto and Sakura are welcomed as well."

The three shinobi looked at each other, until Sasuke answered, "Ok." he said, as they walked with Jinora through the village and to the park. Eventually they sat down on a bench.

"Sasuke. Tell me, why did you decide to take up the sword?" the Airbending woman asked.

Sasuke curious about her question, answered her, "Well, thanks to my Sharingan not only can I read movement, but my aim is better than it ever was. But I did not want to limit myself to mere shuriken and kunai. So I decided to take up a better weapon."

"So why choose the sword?"

"Because the sword works well in conjuncture with my lightning element."

"True the metal does channel the electricity well." Jinora nodded.

"But in truth. I wanted to make sure people knew me as Sasuke, not just as an Uchiha. All my life I've been defined as the last surviving Uchiha and as the remaining pure blood sharingan users. But I want to be known by something else. Something that I chose on my own not something I was born with. So I decided to study how to use the sword."

"Wow, Sasuke. I didn't know you felt so passionate about that." Naruto said feeling impressed.

"Well, don't go blabbing it to others." Sasuke said trying to keep his pride up.

Jinora smiled before turning to Sasuke, "You know, Sasuke. You remind me of Grand Uncle Sokka."

"Sokka?" Sasuke asked.

Naruto spoke, "He was the chief of the Southern Water Tribe during his adult years, and before that traveled the world with Avatar Aang helping him to end the hundred year war."

Jinora nodded and explained, "During my gran-gran's younger years, Grand Uncle Sokka was raised by their Grandmother after the death of their mother and their father Chief Hadoka left to join the war. With the chief gone, Sokka took it upon himself being the oldest boy in the tribe to help train the young one's to be strong. When Grandfather Aang came into his life he and Gran Gran went off to help him learn the other elements and stop the war."

"As stated in history." Sakura remembered.

"Yes. Though my Grand Uncle was a wise cracker and always left himself open for mishaps he was still a dedicated warrior who would do anything to protect those he cared about. At first he felt he was only defined by his boomerang and considered himself inferior compared to the rest of the team who were all benders. So Grand Uncle Sokka decided to take up swordplay and sought out one of the greatest swordsman and sword maker in Fire Nation history, Piandao."

"He was also one of the members of the White Lotus." Sakura stated.

"Yeah. Him, Old Man Iroh, Bumi, and all the other old guys." Naruto chuckled.

Jinora cleared her throat. Naruto and Sakura went silent allowing her to continue, "Piandao took Grand Uncle Sokka in as a pupil. Although he wasn't the best student he ever had, Grand Uncle struggled to prove himself until he was ready to challenge his master with a sword he himself would forge. Once Grand Uncle forged a sword the two fought with all their might, especially after Piandao found out Grand Uncle was from the Southern Water Tribe."

"How'd he find out?" Sasuke wondered.

"Grand Uncle couldn't bear to keep a secret form his master and confessed. However, right when Piandao was ready to finish my Grand Uncle, he stopped. He apparently knew the whole time, but said nothing. He said the art of the sword was not reserved for those of the Fire Nation but for all nations. So Grand Uncle used his skills with the sword to help Grandpa Aang finish the hundred year war and go on to further use his abilities to protect his tribe."

"Thanks for the history lesson. I can see why you'd relate me to Sokka." Sasuke admitted.

"Yes, but that is not the only reason I wanted to tell you this tale specifically." Jinora replied.

"Then why?"

Jinora stood up and unsealed something from a scroll wrapped in cloth, "Because I would like you, Sasuke, to have this." she presented the object to him.

Sasuke took it and unwrapped the cloth to reveal a sword in a sheath, "A sword."

Naruto's eyes widened, "That's not just any sword, Sasuke. That was Chief Sokka's Space Sword."

"Space Sword?" Sasuke asked, as he unsheathed the weapon to get a better look at it.

Jinora nodded, "Grand Uncle Sokka and Piandao forged this sword from the properties of a meteorite that recently fell to earth."

"A sword crafted from meteorite ore?" Sasuke marveled at it.

"That's right."

"But I thought this sword was lost after the defeat of Fire Lord Ozai." Sakura said.

Jinora shook her head, "It was recovered afterward and was continued to be used by Grand Uncle until the day he died. Since then it was preserved and properly taken care of throughout the years. I've decided to pass it onto you, Sasuke."

"Me? Really?" Sasuke asked in disbelief.

"Yes. Take it and carry on the legacy of my Grand Uncle."

"You should take it, Sasuke." Sakura beckoned him.

"A weapon like that is hard to come by," Naruto added, "Plus, two swords can be better than one."

Sasuke continued to look at the sword before smiling and turned to Jinora, "I accept your gracious gift."

"Thank you, Sasuke. It'll be like you're carrying my Grand Uncle's Spirit with you. Just as Naruto carries with the Spirit of Korra inside him."

Sasuke turned to his friends and sheathed his sword, "I'll catch you guys later. I wanna break this new sword of mine in."

"You go do that." Naruto nodded, as Sasuke took off.

Sakura turned to Jinora, "You really made Sasuke happy giving him that sword."

"Sasuke will indeed become a powerful fighter just like my Grand Uncle was. And as long as he has you two to watch his back."

"You can count on us, Lady Jinora." Naruto confirmed.

"Say, Naruto. Why don't we go grab a bite?" Sakura offered.

"Sure thing."

"Come on." the two headed off, as Jinora watched them leave.

She looked up at the sky smiling and thought, 'Grandpa Aang. Grand Uncle Sokka. You'd be proud to see these two boys carrying on your legacies.'

Back at the Uchiha district, Sasuke was testing his skills with his new Space Sword. When he channeled his lightning chakra into it he saw it could slice even better than his first sword.

Sasuke smiled at his new swords durability, and thought, 'Orochimaru, you better watch out. Cause next we meet I'll have this sword at your throat.'

(And there you go. I decided to give Sasuke Sokka's old sword so he'd have two swords to fight with. Even though it was lost after the war, I decided that it was in fact recovered. And I didn't give it to Naruto because he already has an airbending glider staff. Well don't miss next time, everyone.)
