Let's look down memory lane!

(-")è

Lisanna skipped and hummed lightly along her way with a few grocery bags. She was walking back to the guild. Mirajane had asked her to buy a few things for the guild. Since it was not much, she went alone. And as soon as she arrived at the guild, Team Natsu just arrived from their mission. Natsu looked energetic as usual and created chaos as he usually did. Gray just enjoyed his drink with Juvia's company. But Lucy was nowhere to be seen. She might already head back to her house. Team Natsu's missions always tiring.

Lisanna put the grocery bags at the back of the kitchen and took all the items out of the bags before sort them to their places. Mirajane entered and went passed her to take a barrel of beer. It should be the tenth for the day. The little sister watched her.

"Why don't you go on a mission?" Mirajane suddenly spoke.

Lisanna raised her brows, unsure of her sister's intention. Mirajane turned to her.

"You've been in the guild for more than two weeks. I thought you might be bored," she explained.

Lisanna grinned.

"I thought you don't want me around the guild anymore."

They giggled. Mirajane lifted the barrel and walked to the door, but she stopped in front of her sister.

"I've been handling the guild for more than two years. What's the worst can be?" They smiled to each other. "By the way, if you are ready to go on mission, I have one for you. You can ask one of the girls to go with you so you won't be bored. I'll show it to you later if you want."

"Sure," Lisanna replied, while her sister walked through the door and disappeared from her sight. "Sure, just one mission. Must be not a dangerous one. What's the worst can be?" she said to herself.

After putting all the grocery items on its place, Lisanna went to the counter. She saw the passed-out Cana, the bookworm Levy and a black cat. She went to the black Exceed.

"Hello, General!" she greeted him. He greeted her back by raised his glass. "How's life in Earthland? I hope it's not too late to ask."

The black cat chuckled.

"Expect nothing, Miss Strauss. When you're taking care of a rebellious dragon slayer. My job was simpler when I was taking care of a rebellious prince," he said.

"Missed Edolas, don't you?" she asked, pinched his left cheek.

He snorted.

"How about you, Miss Strauss? Ever missed Edolas?" he asked her back.

Lisanna shrugged.

"My life is here. But – I do – sometimes missed Edolas. When we were hunted by Knightwalker." She unconsciously smiled. "The pain, the fear. Here in Earthland, Fairy Tail is the hunter, but in Edolas, we were hunted." She looked at the black cat. "Knightwalker was creepy, wasn't she?"

Pantherlily chuckled.

"I'm sorry for her ill behaviour. She was just a loyal soldier," he explained.

Lisanna smiled.

"For some reasons, I once thought she was the only person I knew." She chuckled to the memory.

Pantherlily chuckled and said, "Maybe her loyalty."

Both of them glanced to Erza Scarlet at Team Natsu's table.

"Them both very loyal," Pantherlily supported her. He took a sip of his beer. "I wonder how she was doing, living under her greatest enemy."

They reminded back to the moment when Prince Jellal claimed the crown. That was also the moment they departed from Edolas, forever.

"She hated the prince?" she asked.

Pantherlily shrugged.

"Who knows? But it is hard to like someone that had brought the one that you had been loyal to down."

Lisanna nodded. She couldn't agree more. She touched her guild mark on her thigh. It was the only gift from Edolas.

"I wonder what she would get for what she had done."

Pantherlily raised his brows.

"Do you mean punishment, Miss Strauss?" She heard the little cat chuckled. "Too bad. The prince is too kind."

"Meaning?"

The two of them turned to their side, and had Levy was looking at both of them with bright eyes. Being stared by two pairs of eyes made Levy embarrassed that she slowly hid half her face behind her book.

"Since when does Levy-chan have a habit of eavesdropping?" Lisanna asked.

Levy grinned nervously.

"I didn't eavesdrop; it's just that we never heard a long story about Edolas. I heard to Lu-chan's story but it's not much," she explained.

The white-haired and the black cat were heard to exhale.

"Prince Jellal was a very kind prince since he was little. You must have known him since you were his guildmate for years," Pantherlily continued his story.

Both Lisanna and Levy shook his head.

"Actually no one in this guild has ever seen his face. Every time he came to take a new job, he casted sleeping spell on us," Levy added.

The black cat nodded and smiled bitterly.

"That's so just like him," he said. "He is a prince, but he never acted like one."

"I think I've met him a few times; when I was in Edolas," Lisanna said, with her finger on her lips, thinking about the past.

"You did?!" the two asked together, surprisingly.

Lisanna stared at the two and wondered why they looked very surprised. And then she slowly nodded.

"I went out alone in the wood, unnoticing that Knightwalker was around. He saved me," she told them. Levy 'ooo'ed. "You were there, General," Lisanna added, pinched his cheek again.

Levy watched them with confusing eyes.

"I followed Knightwalker that day," Pantherlily said. "It was the first time I saw him after he left Edolas. He had grown up." His lips carved a smile. "You should thank me. I saved you too," the cat said.

The white-haired girl rubbed his head gently.

"Lu-chan said, Knightwalker looked just like Erza," Levy said.

Lisanna smiled to her.

"She's like a mirror of Erza. The difference is that she doesn't have a heart."

Pantherlily glared at her through the corner of his eyes. She noticed, but she ignored him.

"You'll understand when you were hunted."

She didn't know why she said that. Whether she tried to explain to Levy or she tried to make the little general understand her situation.

"You hate her?" Levy asked.

Lisanna chuckled.

"No one in Fairy Tail likes her. She brought down many guilds. Fairy Tail was the last one. It took her a very long time to destroy Fairy Tail. That's why she was called Fairy Hunter."

Levy nodded, excited listening to the story.

"There was once she came back with a furious face. She told me that…" His eyes turned away from Lisanna. "…that fairy girl was still alive."

"Fairy girl? Who?" Levy asked.

Lisanna wondered too; who was the 'fairy girl'. However when the black cat glanced at her before taking another sip of his beer, the girls understood. Levy quiet.

"Maybe…that's why Mira-nee was so relieved when she saw me that day. When Knightwalker attacked them, they had to leave their Lisanna behind," Lisanna said.

She had been wondering for some times about her counterpart. And being killed by the Fairy Hunter was the last thing occurred in her mind.

"She always called you 'fairy girl'," said Pantherlily to the white-haired girl. "And you pissed her off quite a bit."

Lisanna laughed, even though she didn't find it funny.

"Why is that?" Levy asked.

"I always escaped," Lisanna answered, smilingly.

"Another is; she was so sure that she killed Lisanna the fairy girl. Then how come she was still alive? For her, she had failed her mission. And it upset her more than when she failed to chase Fairy Tail members."

Levy 'ooo'ed again.

"From what I heard, the Edolas Lisanna was a very pessimist. She didn't fight back," Panthelily continued. "That's why Knightwalker was so sure that she killed her."

The three of them quiet. Only the guild members' shouts and fights occupied their silent.

"I hope she's doing well," Lisanna said after a contented silent. "And that she finds the right person to put her loyalty to."

Pantherlily smiled bitterly, and drank his beer. Suddenly Lisanna pulled his cheeks.

"What's this so uptight face?"

The black cat screamed out of pain. He sat down, brushed his cheeks lightly while the white-haired girl laughed out loud. Then Lisanna leaned closer to him.

"You didn't do anything. I'm fine here. I'm sure she'll be fine there. She has the prince now," she said. The cat nodded without word. "Is it hurt?" she asked. She brushed his cheeks which had turned red.

Pantherlily snorted. Suddenly he was pulled again, but not by Lisanna.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CAT?"

Gajeel leaned forward and glared into the girl's blue orbs. Lisanna nervously chuckled and straightened her back.

"N…Nothing. We're just…erm…talking." She quickly turned her face away. His red eyes were like stabbing into her chest continuously.

"Give me beer." Gajeel sat on the stool next to Levy. He put his partner next to him.

Lisanna disappeared into the back of the kitchen. Not long after that, she came back to fill the iron dragon slayer's order.

"More beer, General?" she offered.

"Stay away from my cat!" Gajeel pushed the jug she was holding. Lisanna snorted and left.

"You're overprotective, Gajeel," said Levy.

He turned to the bookworm.

"You saw what she did to my cat, didn't you? She is a monster, just like her sister," he replied.

"Who's a monster, Gajeel?"

The mages and the cat quickly turned to their back, to the familiar voice. Mirajane stood smilingly behind them, with a tray of beers in her hand. Then they quickly looked back to the front.

"Err…no one," Gajeel replied.

They waited for the bartender to answer, but she didn't. When they turned around, she had already left. They gave out a sigh of relief.

"You're afraid of her." Levy elbowed him.

Gajeel pushed her head.

"Who's not afraid of her? She's fucking creepy. They are a family of monsters," he said half-whispered. "Look what her sister did to my cat just now."

Levy exhaled.

"That's why I said you're being overprotective. Mira is fine. And Lisanna…she was just playing around. That's all." She heard him snorted. "And one more thing, your cat is strong enough to defend himself."

Levy annoyed with his overprotectiveness over his cat. It wasn't that the cat is helpless.

Lisanna came back to the mages, placed a paper of request on the table counter in front of them. She looked at Levy.

"Are you free for a couple of days?" she asked.

Levy peeked at the request paper.

"You're taking this job? Babysitting job?" Levy asked her back.

Lisanna nodded weakly.

"Mira-nee saved this job for me."

"So, you don't want to go?" the bluenette asked.

"It's not that. It's just babysitting. It won't be tough. But Mira-nee want me to go with any one of you. She isn't allowing me to go alone."

A light sigh came out of her mouth.

"I really wanted to help. But I'll be gone on mission tomorrow with Jet and Droy. When will you start babysitting?"

Lisanna slid the paper over to the bookworm.

"It will start in a few days," she said.

"I'll go with you then."

"WHAT?!" The loud voice of the iron dragon slayer silenced the guild. He stared wide eyes to his cat, which already on the table counter. The two female mages too.

"I'm coming with you too," Gajeel said, with his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes closed.

"Gajeel…"

"Look, boys…" Lisanna cut the cat out. "…I'm going babysitting, not fighting a war. So, I prefer the girls," she explained.

"I'm pretty good with children. You won't be disappointed," the black cat said.

Lisanna giggled a bit.

"I understood, but…"

Gajeel opened his eyes, glared to the white-haired girl.

"You underestimated my power," he said.

"Babysitting?" Levy suddenly spoke.

Gajeel cleared his throat.

"I'll go everywhere my cat goes. You can bring him, but I'm coming with you," he said, closed his eyes back and placed his arms over his chest again.

Levy facepalmed. Lisanna couldn't say anything. Pantherlily seemed to be insisted to go on mission with the white-haired girl; and Gajeel insistedto follow his cat.

"I…I guess…everyone agrees then, we'll go tomorrow," said Lisanna, stuttered.

We'll soon have the overprotective Gajeel babysitting!

Wait for it.
