Sometimes I really hate children that are very clever and talk a lot. They always ask silly questions that never crossed my mind and of course I don't have good answers for that and I lied. However, I currently a preschool teacher...
"What is a dragon slayer? Is he bad?" Dyme asked curiously.
"No, no. He's not bad," Lisanna said. "At least not him."
"But he kills dragons. Isn't it bad to kill animals?"
The little girl's curiousity made the mages speechless. Lisanna turned to Gajeel but he turned away and crossed his arms over his chest. She nervously laughed. She cleared her throat before answer the questions properly.
"Dragon slayers are mages too. Like me, like Lily-san. There are good mages and there are bad mages. So are dragon slayers. There are good dragon slayers and bad dragon slayers." The little girl stared at her and listened to her explanation. Lisanna smiled at her while continued, "Our Gajeel is a good person. He is a good dragon slayer. He has been taking care of Fairy Til ever since he joined us. He does his job carefully. He never took anything lightly. Because everything around us is important."
Lisanna paused and took a breath.
"He never abandoned his friends. Not even his foster parent." She smiled at Gajeel and took the little girl from his shoulder. "Do you know that dragon slayer's foster parent is real dragon?" She chuckled when Dyme's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Really?"
"Even though he is a dragon slayer, he never killed dragons. He didn't kill his foster parent. A good dragon slayer doesn't kill dragons."
"Bad dragon slayer does then?" Dyme asked with her wide eyes stared at the older girl.
"Bad dragon slayer eh?" Lisanna chuckled.
The other mages looked at the girls simultaneously.
"Not necessarily." She knelt on the ground and put the little girl down. She gently brushed her un-dirty clothe. "Some people say that killing bad guys aren't a crime. It won't make you the bad guy. But betrayal is unforgiving. Especially when you betray your friends. Even with the slightest thing, it makes you the bad guy."
"It does?" the little girl asked.
Lisanna nodded and her eyes slowly fell onto the ground.
"Like lies and false hopes." She paused. "…even if you killed your foster dragon, there's might be some reasons that made him killed his foster dragon. But feeding me with lies and giving me false hopes are unacceptable. At least… give me some clarity. Just don't leave me hanging…"
Gajeel and Pantherlily glanced to each other.
"He just walked away. And I… I'm stupidly waiting for him…"
"Miss Strauss…" Pantherlily touched her shoulder.
She stopped. Back to her sense. She inhaled deeply. As she lifted her head, she caught Dyme staring at her. She smiled bitterly to the little girl. She cleared her throat and held the girl's hand.
"Let's go to your waterfall!" she shouted while threw her other hand in the air.
Gajeel and Pantherlily glanced to each other again. Then the cat shrugged, as if he knew the meaning behind his friend's glance.
Lisanna and Dyme walked in front of the male partners. However, after a few steps, she stopped. Dyme confused. Gajeel and Pantherlily too, but they understood why she stopped.
"There's someone here," Gajeel said. His crimson eyes scanned the surrounding.
"Looks like we're having a party," Pantherlily added.
Dyme looked at all the mages' faces. They looked very serious. Gajeel of course. Lisanna who was being sweet all the time. The cat that scared her most of the time. They stood in the middle of the route and waited. The little girl tried to search for the 'someone' or 'party' they talked about.
A woman came in view. Her dark lips carved a smile. With her smoky slanty eyes, she looked very evil. Dyme hid behind the older girl. Pantherlily and Gajeel stepped forward, stood a little bit in front of the girls.
"Fairies. I didn't expect to see you here," the woman said. Her legs kept walking toward them.
"Who are you?" Lisanna asked. Her body covered the shivering little girl.
The woman chuckled. "Not important. By the way, what are you doing here?" she asked them back.
"Why are you here?" Pantherlily replied with another question. The mages stared intensely at the woman.
She chuckled again. "I come to take something. How fortunate I am that I have the chance to kill you fairies." She glanced at her fingers. "I would love to test my new self on you fairies." She smirked.
"Who are you?" Lisanna asked again.
"Who am I is not important. Because you will not have the chance to remember." She smiled. "However, on the second thought, I should not waste my power on some weaklings." The mages stepped backward as the woman kept drawing closer. "Let makes this meeting short. Give me the girl." Her tone changed drastically.
The woman...I should describe her more
