This is a quite long post. Hope you like it.
p/s: I'll take a long rest for a while after this. Hope you'll wait. I'll update if I have time and idea to write.
Enjoy! (I didn't own Fairy Tail!)
-Sting's POV-
I open my eyes. I see ceiling. Which mean I'm in a house or a room? Lisanna! I quickly sit up. As I look around, all I could see is the little girl and two adults. My friend, Rouge and our cats. Where is she? When I try to get on my feet, the pain hit. I growl of course. My growl grabs the two adults' attention. The woman comes running to me and quickly checks on my body. Then I hear her sigh of relief.
"You're fine, now," she says. Who are these people?
"Lisanna?" The name slips out of my mouth. I couldn't hide my curiousity.
The woman glances at the man before answers me. "She's gone…"
"WHAT?!" I almost bark at her but my pain stops me. She helps me sit back on the bed.
"Don't get me wrong. She left with her friends," the woman explains.
"She left? When?" I wish that she isn't far.
"She left yesterday."
"WHAT?! Yesterday?!" Which mean I don't have the chance to meet her? "How long have I been out?"
The woman smiles. She looks like snickering at me. "She's still not very well. They said, they have a healer back in Fairy Tail. That's why they left early."
She's not well? It must be the explosion she took with Minerva. I thought I had lost her then.
"Who were her friends?" I didn't see her with any other Fairy Tail members. Does she have other friends?
"Oh, she came with two friends. A boy and a cat." The man replies grinningly.
A boy and a cat? Are they…?
"A…A dragon slayer?"
"Yeah," the man says, showing a thumb up. "Can't you believe that Fairy Tail send a dragon slayer to take care of our daughter?" He laughs. I don't know what's so funny.
Rouge stands up from the couch he sat. Our cats are sleeping on the couch.
"Why Minerva after your daughter?" he asks.
Oh, yes. That child. My mind was occupied with Lisanna that I almost forgot about the main problem.
"Minerva?" The man asks back. Perhaps he doesn't know who Minerva is.
"The woman who wants you daughter. She was once an acquaintance of us, but now she belongs to a dark guild," Rouge explains.
"I think she's recruiting," I add.
The man nods, seemingly he understands the situation he's in. He takes a chair from the dining table.
"That's what I was afraid of," he says, taking a seat on the chair. "I am a mage, but I'm free from guilds. My wife, Ruby is just a normal civilian. I was hoping that our daughter not to have any magic or she at least could learn healing like her mother." He sighs. "However she possesses magic power that can cancel any magic. She still couldn't get it right. But when she becomes stress, she couldn't control her power."
"Is it the scream?" Rouge asks.
I become confuse. What scream? There was a scream that could defy magic power? Why didn't I remember any of it?
"No, not the scream," the man denies. "She screams because she couldn't stand the stress."
I don't really understand what sort of magic the little girl has. All I want to know now is how the white-haired girl doing now. I hope that she's doing fine.
"Thank you for saving our lives." I hear Rufus.
I find Rufus and Dobengal at one corner of the house. Rufus is calm as usual, sitting on a chair and reading his book. While Dobengal is sitting on the floor quietly. Meditating I guess. Since we are all here, I think we should be leaving. There's nothing more we can do if we stay longer.
-Lisanna's POV-
Another mission almost took my life. I thought I would be ban forever from taking mission. But so far Mira-nee haven't said anything about banning me from missions. Maybe she is not going to say anything about it because she was the one who suggesting me to go on that mission. Well, who would have thought that a babysitting job would be such dangerous?
At least, now I'm fine. Just some bruises on my forehead and my cheeks, a bandaged left hand and a bandaged sprained-ankle. Others, I'm completely fine.
I don't know how that 'war' ended. Lily-san said that Erique came back and saved us all. I didn't have the chance to say thank you. Gajeel and Lily-san had to take me home to see Wendy. My condition was critical. I didn't remember anything after the explosion. I thought I was going to die in the explosion. If I truly did, I hope Minerva died in it as well. But that woman is a demon. She almost killed Sting in close combat!
Sting. I hope he's doing well. Ruby is taking care of him. I wish I could stay beside him and taking care of him. Oh, silly. He didn't look very pleased when he saw me before. Why on Earthland do you think that he wants you around, Lisanna? Get real, girl!
I push my body up off the bed. I'm going to the guild. I have been resting for one whole day and unconscious for two days straight. It makes my body very tired. I need some exercise. However, when I come across a calendar hanging on my wall next to the door, I realize there's a round mark on today's date. I take a close look.
"NATSUUUU!"
I run out of the house and heading to the guild. How come Natsu never reminded me about that important date?!
Lisanna pushed the door of Fairy Tail guild and screamed, "NATSUUU!"
The guild members stopped doing whatever they were doing and turned to the door. Lisanna quiet. She watched the additional decoration the members were doing on the guild space. There were ribbons and balloons on the walls. Even the guild's floor was cleaner than usual.
"Yo, Lisanna!" Natsu shouted from the second floor. He ran up to his friend who still surprised with the guild preparation. "You're feeling better?" he asked grinningly.
Lisanna sighed. She pulled Natsu by his hand out of the guild.
"Why didn't you tell me that today is Happy's birthday?" She glared at him.
Natsu was still grinning, and he shrugged.
"I didn't even remember. Actually no one remembered," he said, crossed his arms over his chest.
"What?! No one remembered? How could you?" Natsu looked very calm, and not even feeling guilty. "Can't you at least consider Happy's feeling? Even you don't remember his birthday."
"Well, only you know when his birthday is," Natsu said. "Mira just found out yesterday. She found it on your calendar."
Lisanna sighed. Why this guy is so fucking dumb?! "Then, when I'm not around, you didn't celebrate his birthday at all?"
She felt like engulfing him all at once. How could he forget his bestfriend's birthday?!
"No one knows. But Happy and I celebrate once every year," he said casually.
"No one celebrates birthday twice a year, Natsu." Lisanna walked away from the guild. "Come," she said.
Natsu followed her. He didn't understand what had made her so mad. Even Happy was fine when no one remembered his birthday.
"You don't want to ask when were we celebrated Happy's birthday when you're not around." Natsu asked. He walked a little behind her.
Lisanna didn't reply. Obviously she was upset.
"Only you remember when Happy's birthday is. So, we celebrated his birthday on your death anniversary," he said.
She stopped walking. She spun around a few seconds later.
"Because only you know when Happy's birthday is," Natsu added. "We didn't want to remember the sad moment."
She walked up to him while glaring at his face. Then she stopped right in front of him. She slowly carved a smile and hugged him tightly.
"You can be a good father sometimes," she said, while loosening her hug.
Natsu grinned. "I'm always good with Happy."
Lisanna chuckled. Perhaps she judged him too quickly. She slipped her hand around his arm and pulled him with her.
"You're going to help me buy Happy's birthday present," she said smilingly. "And, you're going to help me pay for it."
"WHAT?!" Natsu shouted.
"What? We didn't get the reward for our last mission. So I don't have any jewel right now. Please, Natsu."
He sighed. "All my jewels, I gave them to Lucy," he said.
"Since when she became your banker?" she asked.
"She did a good job at saving," Natsu defended. "But, hey, I already bought Happy a gift."
Lisanna glanced at him through the corner of her eyes.
"You bought him a fish?" she asked.
"Yeah, Happy likes fish," he said.
Lisanna sighed. "Natsu, Happy is our son. Can't you at least buy a precious, memorable present for him?"
"I thought we should buy something he likes," Natsu said.
"Urgh!" Lisanna left him and walked back toward where they came.
"Oi, Lisanna!" Natsu called her. "We can put both our names on the card!"
"No! I'll find myself another present," she shouted back. "Go back to the guild and finish the preparation!"
Natsu shrugged. He didn't understand why she suddenly became so emotional. Then he went through an alley to return to the guild.
"Son?" Lector asked. He and his partner had been watching the Fairy Tail mages the whole time were a little bit confused. He glanced to his bestfriend.
"Aren't you going to meet her, yup?" he asked.
Sting inhaled deeply.
"I don't know. She looks fine."
"Yup, but you're not here just to see if she's fine or not, yup?" Lector asked more.
Sting glanced to his cat. "Nah. Let's go," he said and turned around and leaving. Lector quickly followed him.
He watched his friend. He didn't look forward, but he walked with his hands in the pockets and his head down. Did he actually know where he was heading?
She had arrived back home. She leaned her forehead on her room's door. Her anger over Natsu hadn't died down. Every year – when she was around – he always buys fish for Happy on his birthday. Of course Happy would never complain. Fish is his favourite. And one more thing that he didn't bother to wait for her to buy the present together. Like they used to be.
Lisanna inhaled deeply. Let the past remained as the past. She stood straight and pushed her room's door roughly. She had some savings that might enough to buy a present.
However, right after she opened the door, her heart skipped a beat. Sting stood by the window. Their eyes met. He opened his mouth to say something but he didn't as she ran toward him.
"Did I leave the window opened?" She ran past him and dashed toward the window. She peeked outside the window. Then she quickly closed it. After that she slowly spun around. "How do you get in here?" she asked the dragon slayer. "Did I leave the window opened?"
Sting imaginably slapped his head for thinking that she was going jumped him all over.
"Nope. We broke in. Yup, we opened it ourselves," Lector said. He sat comfortably on her bed.
Lisanna glanced at the cat once before looked back to the dragon slayer.
"This is dangerous. What if my sister found you here? You'll die, you know that? What are you doing here?"
"We want to check if you're fine, yup," Lector replied. "You are fine, yup."
She glanced to the cat again.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for your concern. You should leave," she said.
"Is it Happy's birthday today?" Lector asked.
She glanced to the cat for the third time and then stared at the white dragon slayer again in which he was staring at her since they met.
"Yes, it is today. And I haven't prepared a present for him." She sighed lightly. "And…why can't you talk?" Sting surprised when she suddenly raised her voice on him. "Have your cat became your spokesperson? Spokescat?"
Sting raised his hand to touch her face but she avoided, made him stopped.
"I thought you was gonna die," he finally spoke.
Lisanna stared into his eyes. He cares?
"Yea, I was thought I was going to die too. But if I was truly die, I hope she would die with me," she replied, brushed lightly on her hanged arm.
"Is that why you jumped on her for?" he asked, raised his voice a bit and widened his eyes. "Do you really think she would be defeated that easy?"
"No," she answered. "At least I tried."
"Huh, what's that point of your sacrifice if she survived? Can't you at least think about your life first? I didn't leave you to see you hurt!" he said, long.
Lisanna gritted her teeth.
"So, I didn't hurt after you left?! Have you ever thought what happened to me after you left?" Sting quiet. "I can only cry whenever I was alone. I have to force a smile when I'm at the guild. I afraid if they know, they will hunt you and they will kill you. Especially Mira-nee. I have to pretend that I had never disturbed!"
Lisanna turned her face away, toward the window. She quickly wiped her teary eyes. Sting touched her shoulder but she moved a step away from him.
"I'm sorry. I didn't…know…I just…I didn't want to see you hurt anymore. I…"
"It's okay. I'm fine now." She turned back to him. "You should leave. I need to find a present for Happy."
She walked to the door, but Sting held her right hand when she walked past him.
"Am I not forgiven?" he asked, without looking at her.
"You didn't do anything. It's just me that hoping too much," she replied, without turning back to him.
"Can't I stay?" he asked.
"You were never here," she answered.
"Can I explain?" he asked.
He glanced at their intertwined fingers. He waited for her answer but she didn't say anything. He slowly released her hand. She glanced at their hand when he let her hand go. Carefully he put his hands around her shoulder and rested his chin on her right shoulder. Lisanna froze. She didn't know if she should let him or pushed him away. Her heart accelerated. She wondered if he could hear her drumming heart.
"You always hurt when I'm around. I almost lost you once." He slowly leaned her head on her neck. "I was so afraid. I don't want it to happen again." He paused. "That's why I left," he half-whispered the last words.
"Why are you here then?" she asked. "Aren't you afraid that I might get hurt?"
He tightened his hug a little.
"I wanna take care of you," he said. "I will never let you die. Or…we can just die together," he added.
She wanted to turn her head and look into his eyes. She wanted to know if he was saying the truth. But she couldn't make it. What if he leaves her again? She slowly pulled his arms from her shoulders.
"I must go back to the guild." She turned to him but she didn't look at his face. "Close the window when you leave." She glanced to the red cat on her bed. "Bye, Lector."
Lisanna went and disappeared behind the door. Sting watched her left. Lector watched his disappointed friend. The dragon slayer went to the window and opened it. Lector stood up on the bed and got his Aera ready. However, when he glanced at the door once again, Sting saw shadow under the door. He closed the window back and went quietly to the door. The cat watched his friend's weird move. He opened the door fast.
Lisanna was sitting on the floor, hugging her knees. When she realized Sting found her out, she jumped onto her feet and ran a few steps away from him. He saw her cheeks wet.
"Weren't you going back to your guild?" he asked.
Sting stepped out of the room, into the living room. He walked toward her, but she stepped backward.
"Why are you crying?" he asked.
She quickly brushed her cheeks and eyes.
"Who's crying? Something got into my eyes," she denied.
Sting secretly smiled. He kept walking even though she ended her back on the wall.
"Let me see," he said, tried to touch her eyes, but she turned her face to the left.
"It's nothing," she said and brushed her eyes.
Sting gently took her face toward him. She looked everywhere but his face.
"I won't let you hurt anymore. I told you, right?" She glanced at him once. "Why are you crying?"
"I'm not!" she snapped.
"Okay, okay. Do you still mad at me?" he asked. She didn't answer. "You should cry whenever you like. Even when you're in the guild."
Her eyes widened.
"Are you crazy? They will force me to tell why I cried. And…and when they know that I cried because of you, they will kill you. Your Sabertooth won't be able to stop them!"
Sting chuckled.
"You should do that long ago. So, you don't have to suffer. I'm the one who hurt you the most."
"You think I'll be happy, I'll be satisfied if you die?" she asked.
"Why not?" he asked back.
"I would if I hate you," she said.
"You didn't hate me?" he asked again.
She opened her mouth to answer but no word came out. No, I never hate you. I care about you!
"I thought you hate me," she said.
"I never said that," he denied.
"No, you didn't say anything. You just left me hanging."
"Because I cared about you. You're always getting hurt whenever I'm around. I thought that I better stayed away."
She nodded.
"Why are you here then?" The question once asked repeated.
"Because I care about you," he replied, short.
"Because you cared, you left me. And because you care, you came back. What do you want, really?" She pushed his chest.
Sting pulled her into his arms and stared into her blue eyes.
"I wanna stay with you forever. I won't let you go…maybe until you find someone better than me." She saw tints of pink on his cheeks.
"You won't…leave?"
Sting shook his head. "Unless you don't wanna see me anymore."
She put her arms around his neck and her head on his chest.
"You know, I hate you," she said.
"I know," he replied.
"But I couldn't…hate you," she added.
"I'm sorry," he said. He hugged her tightly. "I won't leave this time." He felt her nods against his chest. "And, I love you," he whispered.
She lifted her head and stared into his eyes. She saw his honest smile, something she rarely seen in him. Then she carved a smile too. He moved his face closer to hers. Lisanna inhaled deeply and quickly closed her eyes.
The door opened harshly and two Fairy Tail mages appeared wide-eyed. The couple quickly loosened their hug and Lisanna pushed the dragon slayer behind her.
"Do not make wild guesses!" she warned them.
Lucy narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest.
"How wild is our guesses, I wonder?" she said. She paced to the couple. "What is he doing here?"
"Yes, what is he doing here?" Levy stepped forward too. "I thought you were over."
"I can explain," said Sting.
Lucy and Levy glanced to each other. "Sure," Lucy said.
She quickly pulled Lisanna away from the dragon slayer and pushed her toward the door. "Gajeel, hold her!"
The iron dragon slayer who was at the door caught the white-haired girl. The other two female mages held Sting when he wanted to grab Lisanna back when Lucy threw her to Gajeel.
"You, mister, stay here," Lucy said. "You owe us some details explanation." She pushed him onto a nearby sofa.
"I thought we're coming to get Mirajane something," Pantherlily spoke. He had been watching the scene the whole time quietly.
"Yes, of course," Levy said. "But this is more important."
Gajeel rolled his eyes.
"Okay, all you need to do is answer all my…"
"Guys, Mira-nee isn't quite patient," Lisanna interrupted.
Lucy turned slowly to the white-haired girl. Lisanna grinned. And then Lucy asked Gajeel to look for rope in the kitchen. The iron dragon slayer snorted before went into the kitchen.
"Guys, you don't have to be so serious." Lisanna nervously chuckled. She tried to join the girls but Pantherlily transformed into his bigger form and stopped her. Before Lucy started her interrogation, Gajeel came back empty-handed.
"Where's the rope?" Levy asked.
"I don't know," Gajeel answered. "I didn't look for it. And, I'm not gonna do anything." He sat on a chair he took from the dining table. "I'm just gonna sit here, and watch." He even had a glass of water with him.
Levy snorted, while Lucy just glanced at him through the end of her eyes. Then she turned back to the white dragon slayer.
"Answer my quest…"
"Lucy-chan, Levy-chan, don't do this please. You should get what Mira-nee needs and go back to the guild," Lisanna interrupted again, and this time she sounded pleading.
Lucy gritted her teeth.
"Let's make this quick. Lily, don't let her go anywhere," she told the black cat. Pantherlily stood, crossed-chest next to the youngest Strauss. "Only answer my questions with 'yes' or 'no'." Lucy paused, just in case Lisanna want to interrupt her again. When she received no word from the white-haired girl, the blonde started her first question.
"Alright, first question." Lucy leaned closer to his face while stared into his eyes. "Were you going to kiss her just now?"
"Lucy!" Lisanna shouted. Her face became red.
"What? It's just a question." When Lucy looked back to Sabertooth mage, she saw his reddish face looked away. "Answer with 'yes' or 'no' only," she told him.
Sting cleared his throat. "Yes," he replied, half-whispered.
Lucy and Levy snickered. Lisanna brushed her face, hoped that the blood that accumulated on her face would go away.
"Okay, next question. Do you have sex before?"
"Lucy!" Lisanna shouted again.
"It's just a question," Lucy reminded her.
"Is that necessary?" Lisanna asked.
"Yes, is that necessary?" Sting asked. He looked to the Stellar mage with a confused look.
"Yes or no?" Levy cut in.
Sting turned to the bluenette before answered, "…No."
"Are you sure?" Lucy asked.
"Lucy, we never had sex before. You don't have to ask for confirmation," Lisanna voiced again.
Lucy sighed. She turned to Lisanna. "One more word, we move to the guild."
Lisanna quickly closed her mouth. Lucy then glanced to Levy, if the bluenette want to ask anything.
"Was your first met on a train?" Levy asked.
"Yes."
"We first met on a train?" Lisanna asked. Lucy and Levy quickly turned to her. Gajeel and Pantherlily too. "Why I didn't remember it?"
But then the two female mages ignored their guild-mate. They continued to the next question.
"Then you started dating each other?" Lucy asked. Levy who stood next to her nodded.
"Actually, we had met a f…"
"Yes or no?" Levy cut in.
Sting sighed. "No." Lisanna's eyes widened.
"No?" she asked.
Sting stared at her. "We had met a few times later. Then we've…started…it."
Lucy raised her brows and nodded. "When you started dating?"
"How should I answer with 'yes' or 'no'?" Sting asked back.
Gajeel suddenly heard with a halted laugh. Lucy glared at him.
"Just answer it," said Lucy.
Sting glanced at Lisanna. She looked intensely at him, waited to hear his answer.
"There was a mission in Hargeon. A woman asked to decorate her lawn. Rouge and I finished it before she came for the mission. And then…we hung out a few times together without mission," he explained.
"The lawn was very beautiful. But I didn't remember you were there," Lisanna asked with a confused look.
Lucy and Levy were a bit confused too. They felt like Sting made them up, because Lisanna didn't seem to lie when she said she didn't remember. But he didn't seem to lie either.
"So, you cared about her?" Lucy asked.
"Yes."
"But then you left her?" she asked the next question.
"Yes."
Lisanna smiled bitterly.
"Last week, you were at the same place where she took her mission."
"Yes."
"Gajeel said, you were almost defeated by Minerva too."
"Yes." Sting changed his eyes to the iron dragon slayer. "Gajeel? Wait! You and your…" He turned to Pantherlily. "…cat…" Then he turned to Lisanna. The girl stared at him confusingly. Suddenly he laughed out loud. "I thought…I thought…"
Lucy pushed him against the sofa, stopped him from laughing.
"I don't know what's so funny, but I'm pretty much serious now," Lucy said. "You were there because she was there?"
Sting stared to the Stellar mage.
"No."
"So you stopped cared about her?"
Sting turned back to Lisanna. "No, I…"
"So, after you left her, you stopped cared about her?" Lucy asked.
"Let me finish. Not all questions can be answered with 'yes' and 'no' only. I don't give a fucking damn of what you think about me. All I know, I care about her. I almost lost her twice. I did a stupid decision by leaving her. That was the worst decision. But I care about her. I never stop care about her. Her curiosity always overcomes her thinking. That's why I came back…"
"You left because you cared about her?" Lucy cut in his long explanation.
His voice almost didn't come out. He stared to Lucy.
"Do you?" Lucy asked again.
"Er, yes," he answered.
"And you came back because you care about her?"
"Yes," he answered and nodded.
"Did he say that he almost lost Lisanna twice?" The owner of the voice, Erza Scarlet stood at the door with her hands on her waist. Gray stood with her, leaned against the door frame.
"Er..za? Gray?"
The mages' faces changed, especially Lisanna. Only Gajeel and Pantherlily acted calm.
"Mira asked us to come and check you out, why did you take so long just to take some dessert," Gray said.
"Erza, I can explain." Lisanna went to her, but Erza walked to Lucy and Levy.
"You two really took your time," said Erza. Lucy and Levy mouthed 'sorry'. "I thought you're no longer in a relationship with our Lisanna." Erza turned to the white dragon slayer.
Before Sting could answer, Lisanna talked first.
"He did nothing. I'm the one should be blame."
Erza ignored her. "Well, he really owes us all explanation. You should invite me first, Lucy." She took a chair from the dining table and sat right in front of Sting. She stared into his eyes. "He can only answer with 'yes' or 'no' only, right?"
Lucy and Levy nodded and synchronized. At the same time, Gray took a seat next to Gajeel at the dining table.
"How long have you heard our interrogation?" Lucy asked.
"Not long. Sting Eucliff, are you the guild master of Sabertooth?" Erza asked.
Erza's questions seemed to be quite formal.
"Yes," he answered.
"I heard from Laxus that you took the responsibility toward Minerva's new guild, Tartarus because you once failed to stop her fled the guild with her father, former Sabertooth's guild master?"
Sting inhaled and answered calmly, "Yes."
"Did the council tell you that she is now a part of Tartarus and that she is not your responsibility? You don't have to chase her anymore."
"Yes."
"Do you think that if you could stop her from leaving your guild, she wouldn't be a part of Tartarus?"
"Yes, I thought so."
"The child that Lisanna babysat last week. Was Minerva tried to recruit her?"
"I suppose."
"So, you were there not because of Lisanna was there?" Lucy cut in.
"Yes, I told you that."
"We were lucky that you were there," Pantherlily spoke. "I don't know what would happen if Lisanna didn't meet you."
"I suppose," he answered.
"Did the venue changed?" Another voice attracted their attention to the door.
"Natsu?" Lisanna said. "What are you doing here?"
The pink-haired boy walked to his best friend. He gave her a small card.
"We can put our names on this card. So you don't have to buy another gift," Natsu said grinningly.
Lisanna nervously chuckled. She glanced to Sting and she noticed that his flaming eyes on Natsu. She quickly wrote her name on the card and then she quickly pushed him to the door.
"Why don't you go back to the guild now? Mira-nee must need your help. We'll join you soon. We need to take something from my house." She pushed him out of the door.
"Okay. Don't be late. Mira said we're going to start soon."
"Yes, yes. Of course." Lisanna quickly shut the door. "Maybe we should finish this fast," she said to her friends.
However, the door suddenly opened and Lisanna who stood right in front of it was pushed a few steps forward. Natsu came back.
"Natsu?" Lisanna was about to persuade him to leave but the fire dragon slayer walked into the house.
"I thought I saw someone that shouldn't be here just now," he said while inspecting the house.
He saw Lector sitting on the dining table. Not long after that, he found Sting, surrounded by the girls of Fairy Tail.
"What is he doing here?"
"Stop where you are, Natsu," Erza said.
Natsu stopped but he still questioned why the Sabertooth mage was there.
"Are you here to persuade Lisanna to get back together with you?" Erza asked.
"What are you asking, Erza? Since when he has a relationship with Lisanna?" Natsu interrupted. "Lisanna, you don't have anything with this bastard, right?" he asked the white-haired girl.
Lisanna didn't answer the question. She just stared at Sting, waited for his answer for each question asked.
"It's more like explanation, but…yes, I am," Sting said.
"Do you think we will allow you to have a relationship with our Lisanna?" Erza asked.
"You're not going to allow that to happen, don't you Erza?" Natsu asked, but the scarlet-haired mage didn't bother to answer. She waited for the blonde dragon slayer to answer.
Sting glanced to Lisanna, and then he smiled a bit.
"No, but I don't give a fucking damn about you. All I care about is Lisanna," he said.
Lisanna couldn't hide her joy that she smiled merrily.
"You are aware that we will kill you if you hurt her?"
"Yes," he said, with his eyes on the white-haired girl.
"But, you did hurt her, right?" Lucy asked.
"I had noticed her being sad before," said Levy. "You left her without a word."
"I think that should be enough says for us to kill you," Erza said, laid her back against the chair.
Sting silent.
"Guys, you don't have to do that," Lisanna spoke.
"I know," said Sting. "I'm sorry. It was the worst decision I've ever made."
"Should we forgive you?" Erza asked.
Sting didn't immediately answer it but he stared at Lisanna. The girl just smiled bitterly.
"I don't need your forgiveness. You can kill me if you want. I just want her to forgive me," he said.
"I would gladly kill you," Natsu said. His fiery hands showed that he was ready to make his move.
"Natsu!" Erza snapped. "Sit down quietly. One more word and I'll finish you."
The fire on his hands died but Natsu glared angrily at the Sabertooth mage. Then he went and sat on a sofa not far from Sting. The Sabertooth mage returned his glare.
"What do you mean when you said that you almost lost Lisanna twice?"
"It's..em…the explosion she took with Minerva. I thought she was died because after the explosion, she went unconscious. While Minerva was able to stand up after that."
"Another one?" Lucy asked, impatient.
"The other one was..em…the animal-soul feeder." The Fairy Tail mages nodded.
"I didn't see your contribution when you said that you cared about her. We Fairy Tail did everything we could to save her, especially after her energy was absorbed by the animal-soul feeder," Erza said.
Sting didn't say anything. He no longer exchanged stares with Lisanna. He just stared to the floor where she stood.
"Or…you had something to do with Lisanna's sudden recovery," Lucy added. Sting glanced at her, and then he turned his eyes to his side. "Mira said, she was almost lost hope when Lisanna suddenly recovered."
Erza stared to the white dragon slayer. "Did you?" she asked.
Sting glanced at the white-haired girl.
"The woman whom I helped her decorated her lawn said that there was a cure to any sickness. I just gave Lisanna the cure. That's all," he said.
Levy gaped.
"Was it a flower?" she asked.
"I don't know," he replied.
"Did you need to make some sort of wish before using the cure?" Levy took her turn for questioning. Sting stared at Levy for a few seconds. "I think I've read somewhere about a flower that can cure any illness," she added.
"Sacrifice. It wasn't a wish, but a sacrifice. That was how the cure worked." He corrected her. "But I only got a small bottle of liquid. I don't know if it was a flower or something."
Levy and Lucy looked at each other.
"What did you sacrifice? To save Lisanna," Lucy asked.
Sting looked at the girls in front him. Lisanna was the last one he looked at, in which he stared at her, long. But then, he turned away right before he answered the question.
"Memories," he said. "Our memories together."
Lisanna balled her fist. She gritted her teeth. She walked to the white dragon slayer. And when Natsu tried to stop her, she pushed his hands away. Erza quickly stood up and moved her chair out of the girl's way. Levy and Lucy quickly took a few steps back.
"That's why I had you in my room that day," she said, stood right in front of him, stared right into his eyes.
He didn't say anything. He looked anywhere but her, because she looked very furious. However, when she didn't speak for quite some times, he looked back at her. Suddenly she slapped him hard across his face. He stunned. Even everyone in the living room shocked.
"You were planning to ditch me long ago, didn't you?" she snapped.
"It wasn't like that!" He stood up.
"But you left after that!"
"Not exactly after that, okay!" he defended himself. "We've talked about this. I thought we're okay now."
"You didn't tell me about that. All you said that you care about me!"
"So, what's the big deal? I would sacrifice every memory we had as long as I could see you still breathing today, still alive," he said.
Lisanna bit her lower lip.
"What if I didn't remember you and stay away from you after that?" she asked.
He shrugged. "I guess that's it."
"You never think, didn't you?" Her voice slowed down. She chuckled. "My curiousity overcomes my thinking. But your emotions override your brain. Did you know that?"
"I'm sorry about that," he said and nodded lightly.
She rested her forehead on his chest and closed her eyes. She breathed slowly.
"I really hate you," she whispered in smile.
Sting glanced to the whole room and pondered whether he could at least touch the girl or not. When every eye was on them.
Suddenly, Erza broke the silent when she cleared her throat. Lisanna quickly lifted her head and distanced herself a bit from Sting. She hugged her bandaged arm.
"If you want to join our birthday party, you better prepare a present," Erza told the white dragon slayer.
"Erza, are you serious?!" Natsu asked. He rose from his seat.
Lisanna grabbed Sting's hand and pulled him to the door.
"Since I haven't got any, we'll find our presents together. See you at the guild," she told her friends. "Lector, come!" she called the red cat.
Lector jumped off the dining table and followed his partner and the white-haired girl.
The Fairy Tail mages watched the three left the house. Natsu glared at Erza. He wished to stop them but he knew well that Erza would not allow that to happen.
"You're not really going to let them together, right Erza?" Natsu asked.
"They were together. It's just us didn't know that," she said. "But we need to keep our eyes open. If he hurt Lisanna again, he has to pay for it."
"Then, how are we going to tell Mira? You even invite him to the party," Lucy asked.
Erza didn't answer it. She spun around and looked out of the window. She slowly crossed her arms over her chest.
Lisanna walked along the road in Magnolia. Sting walked beside her. Lector walked beside him. None of them spoke. But their hands still intertwined. He never let her hand go ever since they left her house. When they came across a shop, Lisanna pulled him into the shop. He let her chose the present.
"One is enough. From both of us," he said. Lisanna nodded smilingly.
After they chose one, Lisanna took it to the cashier. Sting offered to pay for it. She had to agree because she hadn't had her reward from the last mission. After that, she walked him to the train station.
"Are you sure you don't want to join the party?" she asked.
They sat on a bench while waiting for the train.
"Nah. I came not to see them. I've seen you and you're fine. That's all I need," he said.
Lisanna smiled bitterly.
"I'm sorry I slapped you. I couldn't control myself." She touched his cheek. His cheeks turned red when her soft fingers touched them.
"It's nothing," he said. "Oh, yes. What did you mean when you said that Happy is your and Natsu's son?" he asked.
Lisanna narrowed her eyes.
"Where'd you heard it?" she asked back.
"I saw you and Natsu before you went back to your house," he said, didn't even try to hide anything.
"Are you jealous?" she asked.
His face became red. "What? No! Why should I feel jealous toward him? You're my girlfriend, not his," he said.
She chuckled. "Who knows? I know him first and he's still my bestfriend," she said.
"I don't think it answered my question," Sting said.
Lisanna chuckled.
"Okay, okay. When Happy was an egg, Natsu and I took care of it together. We even built a small hut on a hill. We were like a family. Parents that waited for their baby to hatch."
Sting snorted. She giggled.
"So, that's why you called Happy as your son?" Lector asked. He sat between the two mages.
Lisanna smiled widely that her eyes disappeared.
"Not really. When I was a little girl, when Natsu and I waited for the egg to hatch, I told him that one day I want to be his wife. That's why I considered Happy as our son," she told them.
She glanced to Sting. He didn't say anything. He just sat quietly and stared to his fingers. Seemed he lost in his own thoughts.
"Do you still want to be his wife?" the cat asked.
Her eyes widened in surprise. Even Sting suddenly turned to her.
"That's impossible. Natsu has Lucy now," she said. "And I have your friend here," she told the cat.
When she glanced at him, their eyes met. She smiled to him; however he quickly turned his face away. She saw a tint of pink on his cheek. She secretly giggled.
Finally the train arrived. Sting and Lector stood up from the bench and walked to the train. Lisanna followed behind them.
"Thank you for coming," she said. "Lector, take care of him," she reminded the cat.
The train shouted; reminded the passengers that they were leaving shortly. Lisanna leaned closer to kiss his cheek but when she held on his right shoulder, he turned his face to the right. Their lips met.
It wasn't their first kiss, but every kiss felt like the first one. It made their hearts fluffed, blood raced and accumulated on their faces, and the feeling of shy sneaked in.
"See you later," he said.
"Yeah, of course," she said. There were nothing else she could say when the awkward silence occupied their surroundings.
The train started moving. Sting still stood at the door, watching her. Lisanna stood at the platform, watching the leaving train. Then she waved. She hoped that he would be fine. His motion sickness was worse than Natsu's. Of course Lector would take care of him.
Lisanna stood outside the guild. She held the present she bought tightly. She took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door opened.
The party had started. Happy looked excited and he received a lot of presents. Even one corner of the guild full of his presents. Most of the presents were fish. Maybe that was one of the reasons he was so happy.
"Happy, happy birthday."
The cat grinned widely. She gave him the present.
"Can I open it now?" the blue cat asked.
She smiled.
"Nope, not now. Open it when the party is over. For now, enjoy the party," she said and caressed his head.
Happy nodded. He put the present down and ate a fish. He already ate many of his fish presents but the fish still plenty, and his stomach hadn't yet full.
Lisanna sat at the counter. She glanced at Natsu. Her bestfriend seemed to be upset. He didn't say a word when she wished Happy his birthday. He just sat next to the cat, and didn't even bother to look at her. He must be upset about Sting.
"Lisanna-chan." Lucy sat next to her, and on the other side, there was Levy. The blonde gave her cake.
"Where is he?" Lucy asked.
"He went home," Lisanna answered.
"He's not coming?" Levy asked.
"Maybe he's still not comfortable with all of you. You gave him hard time," the white-haired said.
'We didn't mean it. We were joking," Lucy said. She sounded a little bit regret.
"But, I don't know about Erza. She seemed very serious," Levy added.
"Both of you started it," Lisanna said.
"Actually Levy and I, we don't have any problem about you and Sting. We just need to make sure that he will never hurt you again," Lucy explained.
"Maybe we have gone a bit overboard," Levy said.
Lisanna smiled.
"Luckily, I didn't bring him along," she said. "If I did, I don't know how he's going to face the whole guild."
"Mira doesn't know yet," said Lucy.
Lisanna surprised.
"She didn't?" Both Levy and Lucy shook their heads.
"We don't know how to tell her. I don't know whether Erza has told her or not. But Mira seems happy all day, so we assume that she doesn't know yet," Lucy told her.
They looked at Mira who was entertaining the guild as usual.
"I'll tell her. But not now," Lisanna said. "There's one thing that bug me." She turned to Lucy. "Natsu is very upset with me."
Their eyes changed to the pink-haired dragon slayer.
"No surprise. He was the only one against Erza when she decided to invite your boyfriend along. And he still didn't approve your relationship," Lucy said.
"Maybe he actually likes you," Levy added.
They turned to the bookworm.
"What do you mean?" Lisanna asked.
"Well, maybe he just realized that he actually likes you when he found out that you're seeing his enemy," Levy explained.
"Possible," Lucy supported.
"That's not possible," Lisanna said. "We are bestfriend. And he likes Lucy, right?"
"That is rumours. You shouldn't believe in rumours. Actually, nobody knows Natsu likes who. Since we get along well, they said that we are together," Lucy said, long.
Lisanna sighed.
"Or, maybe he just upset because he doesn't like your boyfriend," Levy added.
"Do you like Natsu?" Lucy asked.
Lisanna smiled bitterly.
"I did. Before I met Sting," she said.
"If…If Natsu really likes you, and he just realized it now. What would you do?" Lucy asked more.
The white-haired glanced to her. And then another sigh released.
"I don't know," she said, half-whispered.
Lisanna rested her forehead on the counter. Lucy glanced to Levy. The bookworm shrugged.
"Lisanna, cheer up. Maybe we just exaggerated it." Lucy tried to cheer up the girl. She felt bad for making her friend's situation worse.
Enough update for now. See you again later!
