So, here's the continuation of the previous mission. They were supposed to look for a boy who had been lost for two days. Hope luck still left for them!

Lisanna ran, tried to search for the little boy, left the other two mages 'taming' the beast. She hoped that the boy would give the beast's child for everyone's sake. She hoped that she could persuade him. As far as she ran, she saw the boy, still carrying the beast's child running away.

"Vicky! Stop!" She shouted.

The boy turned his head to her but never gave his legs away. She ran even faster, catching up with the boy. Finally, the boy stopped. At the edge of a 'cenuram'. He glanced at the 'gaung' and Lisanna simultaneously. His chest moved up and down, recovering the insufficient oxygen.

"Look, Vicky. I'm not an enemy. I'm a friend. I'm trying to help you. I'm going to take you home."

The boy looked scared. He stepped backward every time Lisanna stepped toward him. But the 'gaung' prevented him from going further.

"Vicky, your grandfather is worried when you're not home."

She took another step closer to him.

"So, we give it back to its mother, then we go home. Okay?"

"No!" The boy snapped. "This is mine. I can't go home. If I go home, that thing will attack my village!"

"That's why we must give it back to its mother. She's not going to stop until she get her child back. If you insist of keeping it, you have to run all you life. Leave your family behind. Are you okay separated from your grandfather, your family, your friends?"

He seemed thinking.

"I don't have friends. They hate me. They don't want to play with me. This is my only friend." He looked frown.

"Sometimes friendship doesn't have to start with smiles and all the fun things. Sometimes it starts with hatred and all the bitter things. You just have to show that you are worth to be friend with. Stealing is not a way to show you are a good friend."

The boy stared at her, digesting everything she had said.

"It's okay if they hate you. That's because they don't know how good are you. They don't know you better. There are others who care about you. It's you who don't realize it."

"There is?" He asked. His eyes widened.

"Yes. Your grandfather." He looked a little disappointed with that answer. "Friends don't have to be someone with your age. Friends are those people who care about you, willing to accept your weaknesses and proud of your strengths."

The boy looked to the ground, not saying anything to her. Lisanna sat on her heels, stretched her right hand to him.

"I can be your friend," she said. "If you don't mind." She smiled widely.

She saw tears on the boy's eyes. Slowly he raised his hand, moved it to her hand. And his lips stutteringly curved up.

However, stomps on the ground startled them and the boy retreated his hand and hugs the little beast tightly. The mother beast ran fast toward them. Lisanna searched for her friends but they were out of sight. Without decreasing its velocity, the beast swiped them off the ground. Lisanna was ready to duck its attack when a loud voice called her name, "LISANNA!" causing her to be hit. The boy was thrown into the air, toward the nearby bushes, separated from the little beast. It threw over the edge and fell down the slope. Lisanna just landed on her back, jumped back on her feet and jumped over the edge, trying to grab the little beast. The little beast screamed, attracting its mother toward the edge. Lisanna grabbed it into her arms and transformed herself into a bird. However, before she could fly back onto the edge, the mother jumped and grabbed them both. The shock transformed Lisanna back into human form. They all fell down the cliff.

"LISANNA!"

"Sting!"

Sting jumped to reach for his girlfriend but his cat flew and grabbed him by his shoulder and pulled him back on the edge. He sat by the edge, stared into the dust of whats have left from the beast's fall. His eyes widened and his heart almost stopped. Laxus arrived a little late.

"She fell down," the boy said, found his way back from the bushes. "She tried to save me." He hiccuped, wiped his flowing tears.

"Lis..." Sting out of word. He was too shock to speak.

"Stay here," said Laxus.

Laxus switched into lightning bolt and went down the cliff. Lector touched his friend's arm. The boy kept on crying quietly.
