Hello Everyone! So here's the thing, I love this story and I love everyone who reads it and comments so many positive things. I still have a ton of ideas and I want you to all read them. I am so sorry that it has been such a long time since I uploaded this story. Please enjoy and let me know what you think. Also read the end author note for so stuff about the future of the story.
Theo POV
It's raining again, it seems as if it's always rains in the pacific northwest. A never ending constant stream of water falling from the sky. I don't mind all that much in fact most of the time it was nice difference from southern California's heat.
It's been two and a half years since everything in my life blew up. Two and a half years since my family found out that one of their longtime friends was the ominous figure behind my kidnapping. My father was furious at what happened and he hired the best attorneys in the world to help but the sick women away. Unfortunately, it came out that my father was abused by this woman as a teenager. My grandparents were devastated by the news. Elena will probably never see the light of day again, especially if my father has anything to do with it.
"Hey dork," I look up from my coffee cup that I have been spaced out in front of for who knows how long. Kali grins down at me, her curly hair piled on top of her head in some sort of trendy bun style. I asked her to meet me here at this local coffee shop so we could talk and hang out.
After the day she saved my butt I knew that she was going to be a very important person in my life. However, I had no idea where or when I would see her again; but low and behold I literally ran into her again not even a month later when I made Taylor and my dad let me go grocery shopping with Gale. I swear I don't know who gave me a worse dad lecture my dad or Taylor. I mean people go grocery shopping it's a normal occurrence in the human world. But apparently not if you are filthy rich like my dad.
Anyway, when I went in with Gale we were walking around and apparently I was too distracted by the apples that I barreled right into her. We both laughed because the circumstances on how we first met was vaguely similar to our similar one. Kali and I exchanged numbers and we have honestly been best friends ever since. One thing I really like about her is that she really doesn't care about my past or my families' status. She has on multiple occasions sarcastically call me "prince of Seattle" which we both this hilarious. I like that I can be myself around her.
"Sup Loser," I comment gesturing at the seat across from me. She sits and a waiter comes over to take her order.
"A caramel macchiato with extra caramel please," the waiter takes her order and Kali looks back at me, "Don't look at me like that Theodore!"
"How can you drink that filled with so much sugar!" I say nursing my dark black cup of coffee.
"Oh yes, my apologize Mister Grey. Let me suck the fun out of everything," she says sticking her tongue out.
"I totally just sounded like my dad didn't I?" she nods as the waiter places her drink right in front of her with a shit eating grin on her face.
"Okay okay, Teddy Bear what's up you said you wanted to talk about some stuff," she says taking a tentative sip of her drink. I have decided that I to finally tell her all about my experiences. Just because she doesn't ask out loud doesn't mean I don't notice that she looks at me like everyone else does, a mixture of pity and curiosity that dances across their faces. I figured the first person that should know is the best friend I've ever had.
"I want to tell you about me and my life," I say looking down into my cup.
"Theo," I look back up at her, "I don't need to know anything you don't want to tell me. I don't need to know anything period. I know who you are already. That being said if you still want to talk about it I am always available to listen okay."
There is none of the pervious laughter in her voice but rather a solemn voice of deep seriousness in its place. I nod gripping my cup harder building up the courage to tell her everything.
"I want to tell you. I need to tell you." She nods signaling me to continue what I want to say.
"When I was four I was kidnapped. However, many of the details are really fuzzy now that I am a lot older. I remember a man whose name was Peter and he convince me as a child that he was part of my father's security change and that he would be taking me back to my parents' house. I mean I was four and I couldn't really distinguish who was and who wasn't a part of my fathers' team there were so many people around at a one time. I found out later that the man had actually murder my security that was specially assigned to me."
"Holy shit! That's intense Theo," she exclaims eyes wide open in disbelief.
"Anyway, so I went with this Peter character but then I knew something was wrong when we didn't go back to my parents' house. After that things get a bit hazy, but the next thing I know I am waking up in a car that was definitely different from the ones from where I am from. Peter drops me at the door and that is kind of the beginning of this story."
Theo POV-13 years ago
I brush the tears from my face and wipe the snot from my face looking up at the older lady who is standing right in front of me. She has a kind smile that seems like Mama's. But Mama is gone now and I don't think that I will ever see her ever again. Peter says they don't want me anymore.
"Hi there little one. My name is Mrs. Robertson and you will be staying with me for a little while okay." And with that she ushers me inside the tiny house.
Hi everyone! What did you think? Sorry this was so short, but I really wanted to get everyones feedback. So I have a new idea of where I want to take this story but with the small time jump you all might be a little angry about not getting to witness the fallout with Elena. But I was to assure everyone that they will get to find out more about what happens with that. However, I was to take a little time to focus on Teddy and his trials as a child as he explores his past with Kali. So stay tuned! Until next time-AJ
