Hello my lovely readers. Just a friendly reminder this week is Christmas, and after that is New Years. The chances of me updating during this time are so slim, that it'd be a borderline miracle if I did. Expect nothing till sometime a week after New years.

"Fairy Tail" and all its characters of course belong to Hiro Mashima.
No one guessed, but many of the characters I've been borrowing are from "Skip Beat" by Yoshiki Nakamura. This isn't a true cross over, they're just making an appearance for 2-3 chapters, since it's my 2nd favorite manga, and I like the characters, though they may be out of character.
Chapter 12 –Ruined?
Natsu's POV
"Yes, we finally made it." Lucy exclaimed excitedly. "Feels kind of nostalgic." She said happily. The place was big. We were at the gate, but the mansion was still a bit of a distance away. Not as big as Lucy's old place. I thought as I was reminded of that time when I chased after her back when she went to finish things with her dad. I had been pretty frantic for some unknown reason at the time. I understand why I had reacted that way now, but back then it was pretty uncharacteristic of me to get so worked up over something like that.
I had mistaken her land for a small village. This place wasn't as large as that, but still over bearing in wealth.
"I feel like I may have been here before?" Lucy randomly said uncertainly.
"Make's sense. Don't rich people hang out with other rich people?"
"That's true."
"What are you to doing over there!" We were interrupted by two guards heading towards us. "The boss don't tolerate riff raff hanging around his property. Get lost!"
"Who are you calling riff raff asshole?"
"Natsu, please. They're just doing their job. Excuse me sirs, my name is Lucy Heartfillia..."
"Don't give a shit who you are, get lost."
I saw Lucy tighten her fist. I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying 'they're just doing their jobs'. Why turn her wrath on me?
"Listen hear shit for brains, we're here about this flyer that your boss sent out, you stupid, slobbering dumbass!" Lucy screamed and threw the flyer in their faces. "Open the fuckin gate unless you want to piss off mages from Fairy Tail!"
I could tell they were cowed, but putting on a brave front. "Where's your guild marks?"
I proudly displayed my bicep, while flicking them off with my hand lit on fire. Lucy mimicked my move, without the fire, showing off her pink guild mark.
They visibly paled. "Sorry sirs, please follow us."
Large winding paths lend to the front door. Lacrima lights outlined all the paths. Moving ice statues sprinkled the landscape. A really big, flowing, fountain stood in the center in front of the large double doors, "How was the fountain not frozen over?" I wondered. Must be magic. Rich people must like to waste magic. "What point is there to making ice statues move? Lights I can get, but it was day time, why were they on?" I was reminded of the crazy ass king from Edolas.
"Please inform Mr. Mogami that 2 mages from Fairy Tail are here in regards to the flyer he sent out looking for body guards for his daughter's wedding." Lucy professionally said. Guess she's forgiven the guards for there earlier transgressions. I wonder why it's okay for her to lose her temper but she gets to blow her top?
"Hey Lucy?" I asked when they left us in a very fancy foyer.
"What's up Natsu?"
"Why do you get to lose your temper but I get yelled at for losing mine?"
"Because I don't destroy towns when I'm pissed."
Oh, that makes sense. We weren't kept waiting long. A guy in a suit came in. "Sorry for my staffs rudeness earlier, they explained to me what happened at the gate, we weren't expecting anyone this early."
"We wanted ample time to make sure we knew the grounds well so that we can make sure to give our absolute best to protecting your daughter's special day, and we also made better time than we anticipated. If our early presence here is inconvenient, we can come back in a few days." Lucy said with a smile and confident voice.
"No, no it is quite alright. I'm honored that Fairy Tail has graced my home with your presence, please follow me into my office."
He led us to a round room with a large wooden desk in the center of it; most of the walls were floor to ceiling shelves with tons of books, and various knick knacks and statues. The back wall had a large window overlooking a courtyard, where I could see another fountain. It looked like workers were back there setting something up. Probably for the wedding. There was a lounge chair and coffee table near a bar in a back corner. He pointed at 2 comfortable looking chairs that were placed in front of his desk, as he sat behind the desk.
"So first introductions are in order. My name is Warren Patrick Mogami the IV, You may address me as Mr. Mogami. I understand already that you are from Fairy Tail. May I have your names and the type of magic you use?" He asked picking up a pen.
I looked over at Lucy, "Ladies first." I said.
"My name is Lucy, and I am a Stellar Spirit Mage."
"I'm Natsu Dragneel, Fire Dragon Slayer."
"Natsu, Natsu…Right, you're the one who took on the twins Slayers from Sabertooth by yourself correct?"
"Yup." I said proudly.
"I'm honored such a strong mage has answered my request." He wrote something down for a minute. "So, Ms. Lucy, do you have a surname?"
"Yes sir, Heartfillia." He paused in his writing, and looked up at her.
"Heartfillia?" He asked. And she nodded her head in affirmative. "Are you by chance related to a Jude Heartfillia?"
"Yes sir, he was my father."
He looked at Lucy intensely for a solid minute. I didn't like the look he was giving her and I was getting annoyed that he kept staring at her. What the fuck was his problem? "Forgive me, Ms. Heartfillia for staring, I was under the impression that you died several years ago. I felt I was being lied too, but I can see the uncanny resemblance to your mother, Layla."
"Lucy ain't a liar." I said even more annoyed.
"I meant no offense. You see, I was well acquainted with your father when he was still alive. It was he who told me you disappeared on some island, along with half your guild. I didn't remember which guild. But I assume it was Fairy Tail. You should be a young lady in her mid - 20's but you barely look older than my daughter." I could hear the skepticism in his voice. Dude was starting to piss me. I was going to open my mouth and curse him out, but Lucy put her hand on my arm and smiled at me.
"While my guild mates and I were training on our guild's Island, we were attacked by an extreme amount of magic. The magic attack placed us all in a frozen state for 7 years. We neither aged, nor healed from wounds we had received prior to the attack. We didn't get hungry, nor do we have any memories of the missing 7 years. For us, one minute we were fired upon, the next we were found by an alliance guild, and 7 years had passed."
"Your father never believed you were dead. I thought he was crazy. I apologize for my thoughts now."
"I'm sure my father holds no ill will towards you, and neither do I."
"Thank you, Ms. Heartfilliia."
"Please, just call me Lucy."
"Well, I am doubly honored now that I have a friend's daughter staying with me, as well as the hero of the Grand Magic Games. My daughter will be equally honored." At that we heard a knocking at the door. "Speaking of my daughter, Enter."
A girl about our age entered. She was shorter than Lucy, with long straight, black hair. She had pale white skin, and wore a fancy yukata. Her most unique feature was amber colored eyes. "Good day father and honored guests. You asked for me?"
"Yes, come here. This is my daughter Kyoko Mogami. The beautiful bride." He introduced. "This is Lucy Heartfillia, and Natsu Dragneel. They will be helping with security for your wedding."
"Thank you father." Then She bowed to each of us, "Natsu-san, Lucy-san, please accept my greatest thanks for honoring me with your strength."
"Hey just Natsu is fine." I said. I really wasn't used to people showing me such deference. It was kind of freaky.
"And please, call me Lucy. We look about the same age, there's no need for the san. Let's be friends." Lucy said happily with a smile.
The girls eye shone brightly, "Friends? Really? You want to be my friend?" Kyoko squealed and was practically in tears of joy at the news. In fact I think I saw little hearts floating in her eyes.
"Sure. Why not?" Lucy said with a giant, warm smile.
"I'll be your friend too." I said with a grin. This girl was funny. A little stuffy, but funny.
The overly formal girl was gone, as she grabbed both of our hands. She quickly led us out of the room in excitement. "Oh wait, I forgot to ask something, I'll be right back." I was able to hear their conversation quite clearly, not that I purposely eavesdrop, but I also don't go out of my way to not listen either.
"Daddy can I please show them to their rooms?"
"Yes, please show Lucy to the Rose room."
"The Rose room? Isn't that for important business partners, or dignitaries?"
"Lucy is a Heartfillia. Her family was practically royalty 8 years ago. If her father had lived, I have no doubt he would have climbed back up the ranks of wealth. Though she may not currently have the wealth, her family name is still to be respected."
"I understand daddy, and Natsu?"
"Any servant quarter in the east wing is fine." He said dismissively.
"But that's on the opposite side of the mansion."
"Your point?"
"But I thought you…"
"Are you questioning my orders?"
"No father. I will do as you say. I bid you farewell till dinner." Her tone immediately returning to the previous level of primness.
Guess the guy doesn't like me. Well, fine I don't like him either. Doesn't matter where he wants me to sleep, I'll be in Lucy's room anyway. Something about that guy is off. Seems like a major asshole.
The 2 girls were walking ahead of me chattering happily.
"Hey Kyoko, tell me about your fiancé?"
"He's very tall and handsome. He's a little hard to get to know, but he can be quite sweet. He's incredibly talented as well. He is a professional singer with the most amazing voice. He's also songwriter and composer. He writes all of his owns songs, and he can play any instrument! He's definitely my prince."
"He sounds really great! Marrying a singer must be so romantic." What's so great about a singer? When you've got some asshole trying to kill you, what can some singer do? Put him to sleep with a lullaby?
"He really, truly is. I am very excited to be marrying him."
"How long have you known him?"
"Pretty much my whole life; for as long as I can remember. I've always loved him. We're only a few months apart in age, so our parents had us playing together since we were toddlers." She sighed happily.
"That is so sweet, childhood friends, who fell in love and are getting married. It sounds straight out of a Fairy Tale." I'm pretty sure I just might barf if I have to listen to any more of this gushing.
"Right, love." She played with a ring nervously. I looked at Kyoko with an eyebrow raised. I detected some sadness there, but Lucy was too far gone in la-la land to notice. Eh, What-ever, not my problem.
We finally made it to Lucy's room. It made the overpriced hotel room we had stayed at seem like a roach motel. Seriously the sinks faucet looked like it was made of gold. "Oh my," Lucy breathed out. "This is lovely." I was expecting some explosion of flowers everywhere, like the hotel, since it was called the "Rose" room, but there weren't many flowers at all.
The bed was huge. It had canopy, with gold swirls throughout the whole frame. 5 of me could spread out and not touch each other.
I brought our stuff into the room. And dropped them near the giant bed. "Um, Natsu-san?" Kyoko tentatively asked me, when I jumped onto the bed and laid down.
"Just Natsu."
"Um…Natsu?"
"Yeah?"
"This is Lucy's room. You have a separate room."
"Not necessary, I'll just crash here with Lucy."
Her eyes widened in shock, "WHAT!?" Kyoko exclaimed loudly.
Shit, my poor ear drums. "It's not a big deal we do it all the time."
"WHAT?!" Kyoko screamed even louder. Blushing bright red.
Damn, I think she actually made it bleed that time.
"That is completely unacceptable! Natsu you simply cannot share a room with Lucy. You'll ruin her!"
"Why?" I was honestly confused. I mean what's the big deal? I looked over at Lucy and she had her face covered in her hand and was looking down in embarrassment.
"It's not appropriate that's why. People will think badly of Lucy, they'll think she's a …a…a loose woman!"
I scratched my head at that. "What's a loose woman? I mean she's pretty flexible, but I wouldn't call her loose." I looked over at Kyoko, and her red face could definitely rival Lucy's. She was sputtering something unintelligible for a little while. Then I heard her breathe in deeply, I prepared my ears for more abuse.
"Natsu, you must make an honest woman out of Lucy."
"She already tells the truth."
"I mean you must marry her."
"Okay."
"Natsu, don't joke like that!" Lucy snapped at me. "Kyoko, we don't have that kind of relationship." Lucy said finally speaking up. "We're just partners, and he's gotten used to sleeping in the same room as me. Depending on the mission, it's even safer if we're together. If something happens, we're there for each other right away, no worries of locked doors, or not hearing your partner's distress. It's really common among us mages to share sleeping areas with each other. I probably would have frozen to death on my way here if I hadn't shared a tent with Natsu."
"But Lucy, a girl of your status can't just sleep in the same room as a man that isn't your husband."
"I threw my status away a long time ago. I'm just Lucy of Fairy Tail now." Lucy said gently, but firmly.
I guess Kyoko knew when to drop a subject. Because she just nodded her head in understanding, and changed the conversation to other topics. I tuned them out, and thought about what Kyoko had said to me. I wondered if that was why Lucy used to freak out so much and kick me out of her place all the time. She was raised that she would be …ruined? I'm gonna take a wild stab and assume Kyoko was talking about having sex with Lucy. Though how does that ruin a girl? From what I've over-heard and have been told, if done right, girls really like sex as much as boys do, they just don't boast about it as much.
And from what I've heard from some of the girls who have admitted to having sex, without them knowing I could hear them of course, they don't look ruined to me. They look the same. This was really bugging me. I will finally admit that yes I want Lucy, in all ways, but I would never want to ruin her. That'd destroy me.
When Kyoko finally left us, saying she'd see us again at dinner, I decided to ask. "Lucy?"
"What's up Natsu?" She asked distractedly, while putting stuff away in drawers.
"Why would having sex ruin you?" I said staring at the roof of the canopy.
"Aiy!" Lucy yelped, randomly. "Wha-wha-wha-what did you say? I don't think I heard you correctly."
I looked at her in surprised. "What? I asked why would sex ruin you?"
"That question just really catches me off guard, is all." Turning bright red. "It's a, um. Embarrassing topic to discuss. I don't think I feel comfortable talking…"
Interrupting her before she could say no, "Does it only apply to you? Since I never heard it used for anyone else before."
She sighed deeply. She mumbled quietly, though I heard her anyway, "I didn't even think he knew about sex." And smacked her cheeks with both hands. "Alright Natsu, I'll try to explain it, but please note that this is incredibly embarrassing for me to talk to you about so I'm not gonna look at you."
"Not looking at me, makes it less embarrassing?"
"Yes, now shut up." I saw her thinking about how to start. It was really interesting to watch. "Most men, especially men of status like to marry v-virgins, because it guarantees any baby she has is theirs." She took a little pause, where I was about to ask another question, when she started talking again. "If a woman was to have sex with a guy, before marriage and got pregnant from it, there's always a chance the guy could leave her, even deny the child is his, and then the woman is an unwed mother, and therefore considered ruined. She usually is also considered a slut or as Kyoko termed it, a "loose woman."
"What do you mean the guy can deny the kid is his?" The very idea pissed me off.
"The guy can say the child isn't his. There's no way to tell who the father truly is, even if the baby is a spitting image of the dad, it could have been a cousin, or brother, or uncle who fathered it. Men have and still do say that the girl was obviously easy who will sleep with anyone and that the kid isn't theirs."
"Where are they! I'm going to beat the shit out of them." The very idea was enough to make me want to burn something to ashes. What fucking bastard would deny his own kid? I was so pissed I actually started heading towards the door.
She turned around and grabbed me. "Natsu, calm down. I don't know anyone specifically. The opposite has happened as well, where a woman who was pregnant with another man's child, sleeps with a different man and says it's his."
"What does that matter?"
"You'd want a kid that wasn't yours?" She said letting go of me.
"Sure, a kid is a kid. They're all great. Where would I be in I didn't have Igneel or Gramps?"
She looked a little surprised by that, then thoughtful. Then she smiled, "Natsu, you're a great and amazing guy. Many men, in fact most men, wouldn't want to raise a kid that wasn't there's. But anyway, did I answer your question?"
"I guess." It was still a little frustrating. "So Kyoko thinks I'm going to get you pregnant and dump you?" I thought she was my friend? What a shitty thing to think about of someone.
"I don't think she was thinking along those lines. More that I wouldn't be able to marry someone of my status."
"Why the hell does that matter?" This whole conversation is just annoying me, I wish I hadn't asked anymore.
"Rich people use marriages as business transactions. Remember when my father wanted me to marry that duke?" I nodded my head, "The marriage would have increased his status, which would have increased his wealth, and would have garnished even more respect from other rich people. It would have opened more doors, for future business with more people. That's what marriage means to these people. And it's one reason why I left it. When I marry it will be for love, not a title, or more money."
"So by having sex, you "Ruin" the chances for obtaining all that." I think I finally got it. So I don't have to worry about ruining her because there's no way I'd ever leave her.
"Exactly. Now can we move on to less embarrassing topics?"
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Number one question I've gotten is how personal can the questions be. Go for it, this is anonymous. If I'm asked a question that I feel is too much, I'll just ignore it, but feel free to ask me any question you want. It's easy to not be shy when you're hidden behind a computer screen.
Our first child together was a precious baby boy. He was born 6 months after the wedding prematurely at only 26 weeks old. He weighed 2lbs 13oz. He spent 2 months in the hospital, and we spent our first Christmas and New Years as a newlywed couple in the hospital celebrating with our baby. He survived and has thrived, and turned 9 this past year.
I miscarried d our 2nd in 2006. Don't know if the baby was a boy or a girl, but both of us felt the baby would have been a girl. So we named her Aurora. If one day in heaven we get to meet our baby, and turns out he was a boy, his name is Emory.
We had our 3rd child in 2009, a beautiful little girl.
We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this upcoming May. And it has been wonderful so far. Marrying one of your best friend's is such a joy. And every day is fun. We still play video games together, anxiously awaiting the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, and Final Fantasy 15. I'm getting the Limited edition Gold XL 3DS Legend of Zelda Bundle for Christmas, and am super excited.
Thanks so much for enjoying my personal story. I'm glad you liked it.
