"Ms. Bella are you sure you don't want anything to eat before you go to school?" Gloria asked outside.

"I'm sure Gloria" I said trying not to lash out at her. It wasn't her fault after all that I was so irritated.

You see I'd been thinking since yesterday afternoon and I realized how stupid I'd been. I had spent all this time worrying about how much time Rosalie and Edward spent together at home and whether or not they were being cautious when in reality I didn't have to worry because they did it on the rides to and from school! I couldn't believe how stupid I was!

"Hey you're ready that's a first" Jasper said getting out of the car. I hadn't even noticed they had arrived.

"Edward takes Rosalie to from school doesn't he?" I asked ignoring his previous comment.

"Yeah" he said like it was obvious.

And of course it was only stupid me didn't figure it out!

"I knew it" I muttered and got up and went to the car I slammed the door harder that was necessary but I didn't care at that point because I was beyond pissed!

I was seething the whole way to school. I saw them look at each other a couple of times, probably wondering about my behavior but neither asked and just shrugged to each other.

I bet they laugh at me behind my back.

When we got to school, what I saw just made just made it worse. Rosalie and Edward were sitting together, leaning against Edward's car; they looked gorgeous and were laughing together.

I was so mad I was afraid I would cry, like I always do when I'm really angry, so I got out of the car quickly and ran towards the school ignoring Edward when he called after me. He didn't come after me.

I ducted into one of the first bathrooms I saw and locked myself into one of the stalls and finally unleashed the tears.

Stupid tears

If anyone saw me they'd think I was crying over him. I can't believe Edward would do that to me though I thought since he was so nice to me he wouldn't make me….that girl.

"Bella are you ok?" Tanya asks.

I dried my tears and got out not wanting to follow further that train of thought.

"Yeah" I said my voice breaking.

"You looked…I don't know…sad maybe even broken."

"You suspected them too didn't you? Rosalie and Edward" I ask without thinking.

"Is that why you were….?"

I nod because there isn't anything else to say that would explain it without giving away Edward and mine's plan. And quite frankly I didn't have any other explanation either.

"Ah" She starts.

She stays quiet for a moment and then quietly says "yes"

"Did you ever get the courage to ask him about it?"

"No that's one of the things he would never do….let me in. it's what hurt the most. He cares a lot about her though I know that much and before you came along he protected her like no other."

"You tried something against her" I state knowing no one except for her would try something against Rosalie because how much she was feared.

"That was one of our first fights" Tanya nods

We stay quiet for a while.

"So what are you going to do?" she asks.

"What do you mean what am I going to do? If you couldn't figure out for sure or do anything regarding her do you honestly think I could?"

"No" she said shaking her head smiling "I mean about your" her smile drops and with some effort whispers "engagement"

"I honestly don't know" I respond.

She nods.

"Just please promise me you won't hurt him" she pleads before walking away.

ME hurt HIM?

EPOV

"What did you do to her?" I asked Jasper and Riley.

Jasper wouldn't do anything it must have been Riley.

"It must have been you" I say to Riley and charge towards him.

"Calm down Edward" Jasper said getting in between us "neither one of us did anything to her."

"Yeah" I challenged "then why was she so upset? She looked like she was about to cry!" I again move to grab Riley but Jasper again stops me.

"Instead of being here and asking them why don't you go and ask her" Rose said from behind me "If she was as upset as you say she was then she probably needs someone to be there for her and since she has no one else I'm sure she'll settle for you" she says giving me a big tight lipped smile.

"You're right" I say "I will but I swear if I find out you did anything to her" I threaten

"yeah yeah we know 'he'll be sorry' now go" she urged "she's probably pmsing and needs a new tampon oh wait since we're talking about Princess Bella then she probably uses pads" she laughs and discreetly gives Jasper a low high five.

"I saw that and" I flip them off "fuck you both"

I turned and ran towards her class but when I got there she wasn't there.

Where could she be?

As I was about to go look for her I turn and see her coming from the direction of the bathroom.

"Bella" I say relieved.

Didn't know I was worried

I could tell she'd been crying though.

BPOV

I looked up at Edward.

He was standing at my class's entrance.

I ran to him and he hugged me tightly for a long time. It felt nice.

"I'm sorry" I say against his chest.

I felt so stupid for overreacting like that. Edward could do whatever he wanted and if he wanted to sleep with Rosalie well…..at least he wasn't coming to me for….that.

"Sorry? For what?" he asks still not letting go of me.

"For making you worry about me and for not telling you about my plan" I explain.

"Plan? You mean this was all a rouse?"

I nod against his chest not ready to let go yet.

"Bella" he exclaims "I was about to punch Riley in the face because I was sure he'd done something"

I shouldn't be happy but I couldn't keep the smile from my face.

"You didn't though did you?" I ask getting worried he had.

"No luckily Jasper stopped me but you can't do things like this without telling me Bella because I" he stopped abruptly..

"I'm sorry" I said again "I won't do this again I promise. It was stupid and I'm pretty sure it didn't work."

*FFL*

"Hey Rose you coming or not?" Edward asks somewhat impatiently.

My irritation starts up again. Was it so much to stay away from her for a couple of hours?

"No I have some things to do before going to your house"

"Fine by me" he shrugs and then probably remembering I'm still there leans in and gives me a kiss on the lips.

I got in the back with Riley and Rosalie went up front with Jasper. We dropped off Riley at his house and he got out without saying anything.

"Thank you for doing this Rosalie" I say quietly from the back seat.

I figured I should be grateful for her help.

"You don't have to thank me I'm not doing this for you" she responds.

"Rose" Jasper warns.

"But you're welcome" she sighs.

I didn't say anything after that and when we arrived to the shopping mall we got out and Rosalie directed us to the store.

We started searching through the clothes I'm sure Rosalie was just as anxious to be over with it as I was.

"So Bella" Jasper began

Uh oh! I should've seen it coming.

"We were surprised when you and Edward got together"

You can do this Bella

"Yeah" I smile "we're so….different I know but when we talked we just connected" I shrug.

"Well yeah…." He trails off.

"That's not why he mentioned it" Rosalie says not looking up from the clothes she's looking at.

"Rose" Jasper warned

"What! It's not like you're going to say anything. If we want answers we have to ask directly" she said looking up at him before turning to me "It's because you're not a blonde."

"What does that have to do with anything?" I ask "Edward has been with….girls that aren't blonde before"

Plenty of them

"Because he has a thing for blondes. All the girls he's ever been serious about have always been blondes" she says ignoring my last comment

"That not true" I try to argue

" yes it is" she interrupts "I'm not saying that what you said isn't true and that he hasn't slept with others that aren't blondes I'm saying that he's never been serious about anyone that wasn't blonde."

"For example Lauren, blonde, Kate, blonde, Irina, blonde, and of course Tanya oh and then there's Jessica who went blonde just so Edward would fuck her" she laughs "oh and how can we forget the very first one Jane" she shudders. "That shit freaked me out though"

"He was actually with Jane!" I yell in disbelief.

During freshmen year there was a rumor that Edward and Jane were dating but they were never seen together so I always thought that it wasn't true.

"I thought he'd made that up just so he could look cooler"

"Oh no trust me it was very real. It was kinda…..freaky since you know Jane was practically 19 already and Edward was what about to be 16 it wierded me out seeing them together. I'm glad I only caught them…." She trails off. "Then like I said there were others but they don't count since they were just for….pleasure"

"Rose!" Jasper admonishes.

How many girls had Edward really been with?

"Anyway what about this one?" she says ignoring Jasper "I think Edward would like it and it isn't too bad"

I looked at the shirt she was holding and I have to admit it was very pretty. It was black and had a very elaborate looking crest on the top half with the letters 'R' and 'S' with lions with wings on each side.

"Yeah I like it" I said "and besides black is his favorite color so yeah I think he'll like that one."

"Now what about this one?" I ask holding a white V-neck shirt with a huge cross and rosary angled sideways.

They both nod and I take that one as well.

"And let's see…." I say continuing to look around.

I just have to find one more, just one and then everything will be alright.

"How many shirts did you ruin?" Jasper asks

"Just one but I need to buy at least one more so my guilt can be at ease" I respond still looking through the shirts. I tried to make my voice light I think it worked. I had learned a long time ago to always make my voice light in these situations or else people thought it weird.

"I don't know Bella this seems a bit much" he says

"Don't worry" I say giving him a big smile trying to reassure him.

"oh and this one" I said excitedly holding up a gray shirt that said 'Il Padrino' on the front with what I assume must be the guy that played the character of 'The Godfather' "

They both laughed when they saw it. I was worried I had gotten a shirt he wouldn't like but then Jasper said "you sure do know him don't you?"

I shrugged and went to pay.

As we were walking back to the car we passed by a bridal shop and my thoughts went to Jake.

I sighed

At least when Jake and I are together I won't have to worry about him going after blondes. My heart ached when I thought of that.

When I got home I went up to my room and locked myself there. I was feeling very depressed and unluckily for me there wasn't anything to distract myself with.

"Ms. Bella you can't continue like this" Gloria says coming into my room "ever since he hasn't been coming over you've locked yourself here in your room and only come out to eat"

"I didn't fool you did at all did I?"

"You can't fool me Ms. Bella" she says smiling fondly "I've known you since the day you were born"

"Thank you Anna for always being there for me and for always being by my side" I get up and hug her.

"Where else would I go? Where else would I be if not by your side?" she says embracing me tightly "Now why don't you call him and ask him to come over?"

"I can't" I say smiling sadly "he's very busy" I sigh "from now on I think he'll be very busy" I say feeling even more depressed.

"But you miss him" she says wiping away a tear I didn't know I was shedding "and you're very sad without him. Sometimes you have to do something for yourself. I promise I'll be on my best behavior"

I laugh wiping away the rest of the tears.

"I think I'm getting my period. I'm so emotional lately it's ridiculous"

"Come on" she says laughing "why don't you help me with dinner."

I nod.

The rest of the afternoon was spent laughing and having a good time with her.

The next morning I was surprised when I saw that Rosalie was riding with us again. I had assumed that she would go to her previous arrangement with Edward and ride with him. We ignored each other the whole way there. I was very excited to see if Edward liked his presents.

When we get there we all get out of the car together and I go to him quickly.

"Rose don't you think that skirt is a little short?" Edward asks completely ignoring me standing there beside him.

I frown

Why does he care?

"No" she responds swaying her hips a little as she walks to stand next to Ashley and Katherine.

The guys try not to look but they can't seem to help it and it only serves to further enrage Edward.

"Take it off now!" Edward says between clenched teeth "here" he says taking out his gym shorts out of his backpack "put these on instead" he throws them at her.

"No" she says throwing them back at him "they don't match my top" she says and walks away calling even more attention from all the boys in the parking lot.

"Jazz go talk to your fucking sister and make her take that thing off now!" he yells "and here while you're at it make her take off that top off as well, it's too revealing"

Jasper nods and goes after Rosalie.

He must really like her otherwise he wouldn't care what she wears or how revealing it is.

I look down at my feet.

Jake, Jake, Jake I won't have to go through this with Jake in fact I don't care.

I look back up.

He takes a deep breath and turns finally noticing that I'm there.

"Bella" he says surprised.

I'm sure he forgot I even existed.

"Sorry you had to see that" he smiles apologetically "it's just that"

"No its fine I understand" I say smiling. I don't know if my smile looks genuine or not but I don't care. "I mean her clothes were on the skimpy side" I smile again.

"You aren't jealous are you?" he asks

Me jealous? As if!

"No of course not why would I be? I mean we're just friends right?"

God even my voice sounds fake.

He nods

"What's that?" he asks pointing to the gift bag in my hand.

"For you" I say holding it up to him "I know you wanted me to dismiss it but I couldn't so please just take it"

He sighs

"Thanks you didn't have to" he says taking the bag "wait there are 3 shirts in here" he looks up and gives me a look "Bella"

"I know I know but I had to get you the other 2 to make my guilt go away" I shrug

He looks like he's going to argue or say something but instead he lets it go and starts taking out the shirts to see them better.

"Rosalie helped out" I say reluctantly "she got the black one. I picked out the other 2"

He laughs when he sees the gray one.

"Do you like it?" I ask nervously "if not I can always get another one"

"I love it thanks" he says smiling at me.

I smile back.

We look at each other for a second and then he leans in and kisses me softly. My lips move automatically in sync with his and my heart for some odd reason starts beating faster.

He pulls away

"Bella" he breathes.

I look up into his eyes.

"Thanks" he says before resuming our kiss

"mmhmm" I say against his lips.
