He could have stayed like that forever, his arms wrapped around her, warm together. "Awake?" He didn't really need to ask. He'd heard the change in her breathing a quarter of an hour ago, but neither had wanted to admit that yesterday was over.
"Do I have to be?" She turned to face him, and looking at her long, slightly tangled dark hair and chapped lips, he couldn't believe they'd finally done it.
He kissed her cheek. "Mrs. Odair, I'm not going to force you to be anything."
"You should know better than to even try." Annie blinked the sleep away from her eyes. "But did they say anything about giving us a day off schedule to you? Nobody mentioned anything like that to me."
Finnick shook his head. "I'm betting we could take it off anyway. I'd like to see Coin come down here herself and drag us out of bed."
She giggled, and if it was possible, he fell a little more in love with her. "We should probably go. I don't think that honeymoons are a big deal here."
"No, probably not."
"I'll see you at lunch?"
He pressed his lips to hers. "I suppose so."
"Having Coin come down here is sounding better and better." The look in her eyes was pure mischief, and he wanted nothing more than to stay here with her. With another kiss, any plans for his day were gone.
