"All children, except one, grow up." Their son couldn't read, but he'd long since memorized the first words of his favorite story. Annie watched as Finnick kissed the top of Ronan's head. Seeing her son and husband cuddling on their well-worn sofa, all matching golden skin and bronze hair and happy just to sit and read, she'd never felt more content.

This should have been the place where Finnick picked up the story where Ronan had left off, but Annie heard nothing. She blinked away a tear and banished the scene that could only happen in Neverland.
