Lulu insisted on Mai eating breakfast before going, and the petite girl couldn't find a way to say no to the large meal placed before her. It seemed that Naru had already gone on ahead, maybe he wanted to finish this up before she got there, or at least scope it out, both were very Naru-like. After refusing another piece of bread, the Japanese woman was finally able to leave with Lulu's husband, stopping in the driveway to hug the older woman's goodbye before moving to sit in the passenger seat of the small vehicle.
"It's almost like she doesn't expect me to come back" Mai mumbled softly as Naru's father moved into the driver's seat, hand reaching to buckle his own seatbelt before starting up the car. Around the house was foggy, the heat of summer bringing up the rain from yesterday to create the haze. He paused for a moment, looking at his wife who was blowing her nose and giving another goodbye wave.
"You probably understand her fear of saying goodbye to someone and never seeing them again" he elaborated and she nodded, waving again before they headed down the driveway and were off the country road. Mai was silent most of the way, head leaning against the window pane as she considered the situation, they were going to meet a young…girl who was had committed probably the largest single-handed killing spree in all of London, or England, maybe Europe even. Her hand went up to draw a star on the window, the cold air inside the car mixing with the rising heat outside gave her a perfect canvas.
"Naru already left right?" She spoke out as they twisted around a curvy road leading to the outskirts of the city where the train tracks lay.
"He was hoping that he could work things out without you, but considered what Lin said-you'll be needed" He answered, bringing the car to a slow stop. They were where Naru parked during their visit to the train, she wondered if the other investigators were here, Alice or Henry. Probably not. "The house is right there, see how the top window faces the train station, she'd be able to watch from there and use her powers to send them onto the tracks. If this theory is correct, she wouldn't even have to be enrolled in school, though looking back we did see a flux when school was out" The older man prepped her and she looked out at the building, then hearing a tap she looked over to see Naru at her car door and opened it before turning to his father.
"I'll be back soon" Mai smiled and he nodded, before she closed the door behind her. Naru's hand instantly moved to the small of her back, keeping her close as they crossed a road to the get to the house, it was distinctly European, attached to a long line of houses, and she looked up at the window that supposedly help the girl as she murdered people.
"She's defiantly a poltergeist" Naru spoke with an edge and the petite woman looked up at him, expectantly.
"But we can stop her right?"
"We can't even get the door open and she keeps flinging stuff at us from her window, Madoka said it was just marbles or toys first but now she's sending kitchen knives flying." He growled and she glanced back again, they were now beside the front door and looking back at Naru Mai knocked slowly.
"Hello?"
"Get away!" Mai hear someone screech and was pulled to the side by Naru as a new set of knives sliced through from the top window to where Mai stood only moments ago, clinking as they stabbing into the pavement and laying there silently. The brunette let out a small breath before tucking some hair behind her ear and tried again, though against Naru's will as he seemed to want to keep her held close to him.
"I am eighteen, how old are you?" She spoke, her words slow as she tried to get the English words across to the female on the other side of the door. Silence followed and Mai wondered if more dangerous objects would fall down onto them, and she looked up at the top window for some sign of movement.
"I'm sixteen" the voice responded and Mai looked over at Naru, he nodded though appeared fidgety.
"I am Mai"
"….I'm Clara" The small voice mentioned again and with a glance back at the man beside her Mai continued.
"I can…move things. With my-mind"
"Really?" The voice seemed interested for that moment and she couldn't help but feel hopefully, perhaps this girl would respond well to other teenager going through similar things and allow her to come in, to help her. Just because she picked out criminals didn't mean it was conscious, perhaps subconsciously she could chose people and target them. With an encouraging nod from Naru, Mai tried pushing a bit more.
"May I go in?" She asked and the voice went silent for a moment, the response wasn't exactly what she wanted and she stood there, hands picking at her dress as it continued till the door creaked open an inch, giving only a thin stream of light in.
"Tell them to back away, only you can come in" Clara spoke loudly, enough for Naru to hear and he directed both Madoka and Lin to stand back where his father had parked, and rather reluctantly headed there with them, pausing for a moment to squeeze her shoulder.
"You're strong, if something happens, just remember that" He warned her and she nodded slowly, he leaned forward slightly before the door opened another inch and with a worried expression he allowed her to be ushered into the home. It was dark inside and as she looked around the door closed behind her, a clicking sound assured her she was locked in.
"I'm on the couch, sit"
"Alright" Mai responded slowly, moving around the kitchen table till she came to sit in the darkness beside the small girl, petite in figure with long brown hair, she had an average English look to her other than her rather pointy nose. They didn't move for a few minutes and Mai had to keep herself from holding her breath, letting it out every few minutes.
"Are you-Asian or something? You talk weird" The girl finally spoke up and she turned to look at her and smiled.
"I am Japanese"
"Do you work for those people?"
"I work for boy" She responded, after a moment the other girl stood up, they had similar heights and began to walk up the steps. Mai wasn't sure if she should follow and continued to sit on the couch, it had already been roughly twenty minutes since she came in here, Naru was probably ripping out his hair. She smiled at the idea, looking up once the girl returned with a small container full of paper, tossing it to Mai and she scrambled to catch the plastic box.
"This is the name of every male criminal in London, it doesn't take long but sooner or later they ride the train system and-I'm here. I know you probably don't understand, but..Mai, Mai I'm saving people. These men have raped and murdered and hurt woman, they are trash" Clara blurted out, pulling out the stack of paper. Each piece contained typed descriptions and a picture. She could look for them every day before school, memorize the pictures.
"Why?"
"Why not? They are bad people Mai" The struggle continued
"They were still-people" The Japanese woman struggled with words, trying to reach the girl but she turned away from her. A moment later she picked up one of the cards, looking down at the picture. Rapist, murder, probation for ten years, released early on good behavior. By the time she looked up Clara was standing behind the couch.
"Come with me Mai" and disappeared back up the steps, pausing for a moment, Mai took all the cards and stuffed them into her pocket before moving to walk up the steps, coming to a hallway and looking around she saw one light on, suddenly the smell of death hit her and she covered her mouth. Her hands reached to pull the top of her dress over her mouth, gagging for a moment as she tried to regain fresh breath, then slowly made her way down the hallway and moved into the bedroom. It held two bodies, the decomposition had made them-impossible to recognize unless someone knew them by clothes. She looked up to find Clara standing by the bodies, it seemed she had been here long enough that the smell didn't bother her, ever the flies swarming the bodies were nothing.
"What..Is this?"
"My parents. My father raped me all my childhood and my mother just let it happen, when I discovered I could move things with my mind I started training. First pencils and little things, then I moved on to move animals, tossing them around was nice, I felt in control. Finally, one night my parents were sleeping and I came in to their bedroom.." She spoke, Mai staring in horror, her hand gripping the front of her dress right over her heart. Blood pounded through her ears. "I woke up my dad and right as he was about to hit me I broke him apart, then my mother woke up and she went too. He was a retired police officer, he had all these files on criminals, it was easy to get all the information I needed."
"Clara.." Mai tried to speak, only covering her mouth to cough, and the youngest woman turned to look at her. Both could see that this wasn't going to work between them, and the long-haired brunette turned away, opening the window to look out at the car across the street where Naru and the others stood.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't work together Mai, but now I have to take care of this, and you're in the way" with that the petite woman screamed, her body contorting as she was held by an invisible grip.
"Plea-please" She pleaded, body twisting more before Clara grabbed her by her hair and she was flung out the window. It was two stories, not enough to kill the petite woman, the fall giving her only seconds to glance over to Naru, standing by the car so unexpectedly. She managed to hit the small piece of grass in front of the home, a groan as she laid there, rolling onto her side, silence followed before bodies appeared outside of her vision.
"Mai, oh my god" Madoka's voice
"She's still conscious" Lin's voice. In her deep breathes and pounding ears, Mai couldn't hear Naru's but as a hand slipped into her she knew he was close. As she became more aware of her surrounding the Japanese woman slowly moved her head to look at the door of the European home, Clara would be coming soon, they wouldn't receive the punishment she did, no, this was mercy.
"Nar-Naru she's coming" She croaked, her small voice barely reaching outside of her body.
"Wha-?" the knife was going through him and her own scream filled the air.
Pft what I ended the entire thing here? Haha, how evil. Anyways, thought I'd get this out as quick as I can, wanna build up the story before school attacks me again.
Eh.
Naruisawesome really? Man, felt like forever. I'll be sure not to leave for too long, it's hard getting caught up in life though
dancingfingers ahahahaha. Nah she crazy. I wanted to make a really...justic based bad guy like, good reason for murder, great backstory for reason for murder. Still, bad. Life is great also, freshman year of college with my man, haha
AzureSkyTower Can't tell if you're trying to insult me or praise me. Hm. Well welcome anyways.
Terrixghost hunt1353 Sorry but just trying to make me do want you want as quickly as you want with 'please update' isn't very nice. I don't even mind if you tell me about your day but ya. I feel like a mule being used. But with a 'please' in front.

thearistocrat It has been a while 3 I really wanted to make this super creepy and a girl facing her own form of PTSD from childhood rape, that pretty much gives the perfect deranged, hard to not feel bad for villain.
