Kaede dropped her power and looked at the fallen puppy. Scooping him up, she walked away.
"Your bunch just aren't worth it, Tomoo. I won't remember his life by wasting my power on you!"
If Kaede had found another life path, her tormentors lacked this capacity.
"Fraidy-cat!"
"We are awesome!"
The girl smiled.
"I knew she wouldn't do it."
Tomoo grinned widest of all.
"Not only did Horns wuss out, but today I took that stupid weird kid's favorite thing ever."
Tomoo had spoken too soon. Milton the weird kid stood in the doorway, fuming.
"Tomoo...you took my red stapler!"
