Such a beautiful little girl…
Kagome crouched down to eye level to meet this new development. With her eyes she could see that the girl was human, but with her nose she knew something was off about her. She was so cute trying hard to hide behind her 'fathers' leg. The weight of the inquisitive male's glare caused Kagome to look up at him. As if not to scare the little one anymore, Kagome quietly inquired, "Is she always this shy?"
The man grunted an affirmative. Kagome looked back down to the child hiding in the church man's trench coat. The little one would grow into such a pretty woman no doubt. With her platinum blond hair and ruby irises, the little girl would no doubt have her hands full with admirers.
Well, that's if daddy dearest didn't scare them all away first.
To Kagome's surprise, the over protective father was the one to wrench the young child off of him and push her toward Kagome. It was obvious this man didn't trust her and he knew what she was so why was he handing his child over?
"Come on, kiddo. Stop hiding behind me and introduce yourself."
