My finest hour!

The air was crisp and clear has he raced to her even with his vampire speed he felt has if he wouldn't make it to her in time, as he stretched out his eloquent hand he could feel her warm flesh within his embrace.

"I got you! I got you!" He said as he pulled her into his body the fear of loosing her washes over him. "Why, did you save me, I didn't won't you to save me!" She fights embrace.

"I will always save you, No matter what!" He said entangling his fingers throw her messy hair.

Bonnie looks into his brown eyes somberly. " ...Elijah, I-"

"It does not matter..." He just holds her in his arms. "None of it matters Bonnie... I love you!"

He exhales heavily holding her has if he'd never be able to let her go ever again.

Chapter- Fall again, I'll catch you

Month 1. One week after meeting the one and only Bonnie Bennett.

"How long will you love me?" Elisha questions with a smile; Elijah smiles in-kind taking her hand kissing the palm, "Forever, always, always, always." Elisha smiles. "And how long will you love me?" Elijah takes in a breath inquiring has he pulls her into his arms holding her tightly. "Forever, with all my heart and soul!"

Heart and soul...and soul...

"ELIJAH!" She screams as the fire burned around them.

"Elisha!" Elijah calls out in his sleep, Suddenly awakened by a feverish shake.

"Brother, she is not here."

Elijah exhales swatting away Nicklaus's hand. Exhaling heavily he tries to collect his composure placing his polished shoes firmly on the floor, he had dozed off on the sofa it was from the Sofia Vergara collection, quite comfortable if you asked him.

"That's the fifth one this week Elijah, want to talk about it?" Klaus mused holding out scotch to his sweat riddled brother. Elijah stood grabbing his tie that laid stretched across the arm of the sofa throwing it around his neck quickly getting himself back together. " I will not entertain...Whatever you think I'm going through Niklaus." A clear disdain at the back of his throat.

"I think the memories of sweet, sweet, Elisha-" Klaus moans inwardly pleasant are most of his memories.

"Watch it!" Elijah quickly corrects sharply.

Klaus smiles taking a step back waving his hands in defeat... "I mean no offense . . . I loved her too!" He licks his lips devilishly... His words more to dig at Elijah and observe his reaction than anything else.

Elijah nearly chokes himself on his on tie at Klaus's words. "I'm going out." He walks away quickly.

"If you ever want to talk about her! I'm here." Klaus Prompted.

The door slams closed behind him the force of which knocks the portrait of Elisha off the wall.
which will bring much delight to Elijah when he returns. The memories of her are hard enough without the constant reminder.

The Mikaelson brothers found themselves just on the outskirts of Mystic falls, Virginia. Klaus had decided the minute he'd seen Bonnie she was going to be his in this lifetime, Elijah and Damon be damned. And Elijah was not going to leave young Bonnie all on her own against Klaus or Damon; So he was going to stay close and protect her from all the baggage of the past. Although he had not voiced the words to himself he wanted her to come to him all on her own that's the only way he's willing to force himself into her life, she has to want him first.

Klaus took a seat in front of the big chateau window the portrait of Elisha idly placed to the side of him now. Memories he long tucked underneath every horrible thing that's ever happened in his life, The abuse at his fathers hands, the constant betrayal of his siblings, his own mother turning her back on the bastard son; but none of it hurt like Elisha, she was the first love of his long life... Elisha Babineaux

Spring 1700's France.

Klaus grabbed at the hem of Elisha's dress pressing her body against the stone wall, his lips run up and down her silk neck the gruff of his beard cause her to giggle, she was soft and warm, she set a fire inside his belly the beast and monster tamed within her presence, God he loved her, she was precious and his.

She paused letting her perfect smile slip from her face suddenly. "What's wrong?" Klaus asks concern in his tone.

"Your brother!" Elisha looks away from his haunting gaze.
Klaus stands up straighter. "He does not have to know."
"But I love him!" A look of guilt cress her forehead.
"And what of our love? Do you not-" Klaus dares not finish his last words out of fear of what she'd say.
"I can't- I can't love you both."
"But you do! And you must choose..." Klaus crowns her face his fingers linger over brown skin and trail across heart lips, he kisses her as if his own body would burn from the inside out if he didn't know the taste of her.

"Nicklaus, Please...I do not wish to hurt either of you." She says pushing Klaus away. wiping at her lips, they burned raw from the force of his kisses. "I cannot see you anymore..."

In a split second his face turns from that of love to grimace and anger. "HIM, YOU WOULD CHOOSE HIM?!" He yells pointing an accusing finger at her delicate features.

"What was this version like?" The voice tears Klaus away from a memory he'd rather forget.

"Should I kill you now or later?" Klaus does not turn to face the voice as he twirls his scotch in hand. "She was Elisha Babineaux, right?"

"What do you want Damon?" Klaus grimaced at his name.

"I need to speak you and your brother, where is the Bore?" Damon smirked, at his own name calling. Klaus stood walking towards the liquor cart. "Elijah's not here, and I on the other hand don't care what you have to say."

Damon's eyes squinted. "Testy much... Either way we need to talk about Bonnie,"

Klaus ears twitch at the mention of Bonnie. "What about her?"

"I've been doing a little research-" Klaus interrupts quickly his hand around Damon's Throat. Klaus leans in as if to tell him a secret. "Have you gone anywhere near her?"

Damon's face is red and if he were anything less than a vampire he'd already be dead. " N-no, no..."

Klaus releases him quickly, Damon drops to his knees gasping for phantom air. Damon stands suddenly going straight for the booze; it always made him feel better.

"Not yet, at least." He says pouring himself a sniff drink, a smirk on his boyish face those blue eyes sharp with mischief. Klaus takes a step towards him, "Before you get all murderee, hear me out first." Klaus stopped cold in tracks. " It better be worth it or I'll separate you from your heart."

Mystic Grille ...

"Coffee, Would you like some coffee?" The Blonde repeats with a eager smile on her face.
"I'm sorry?" Elijah snaps from his reprieve of memories he's buried, memories he refuses to indulge; yet always they echo in the back of his mind always and forever; making eye-contact with the young blonde, she was something straight out of a Victoria secret's catalog. Her name-tag reads 'Marie' French.

How quint he thinks.

"Would you like some coffee?" She repeats giving him yet another full smile all teeth-she was interested and Elijah could not be bothered to give her the attention she deserved.

He exhales calmly. "Yes, please." Marie pours the coffee hoping to engage this handsome stranger but he keeps looking off into the distance. "Thank you." He musters shifting his position ever so slightly. this modern chairs are uncomfortable after awhile.

He notices she lingers at his table, Elijah gave the blonde waitress a smile, She wanted him, he was gorgeous, an elegant nature came off him in waves, suave and smooth was his tone inviting to the ears was his voice.

Her perfect B cup breast pointed straight at him; men could not resist her and she just knew it; and if Elijah were any other man she would have a chance but he wasn't just any man, he was a man plagued by demons' of the past, lovers of the past, the past period. He was a hallow shell of a man no longer capable of giving his all too anyone but her. Them!

Marie opens her mouth to ask him something- he interrupts using his compulsion on her. " Marie, You are a lovely girl but you don't won't to ask me out, I 'am not worth your time." His brown eyes turning back to its normal size.

"Never mind." Marie shakes her head in confusion as she heads back to the bar.

The smell of lavender and lemons fill the air suddenly...

Its her

she's here

Elijah fiddles with his tie suddenly his hands become anxious. Elijah turns to find Bonnie standing right behind him. "Hi, again." She smiles brightly at him.

Elijah swallowed. "Hello!"

"We have met before right?"

Elijah nods 'yes' yet unable to speak again so soon. Being this near to her shatters what little self control he has around has is.

Do not get to know her. He tells himself, he screams it in fact internally.

Get up and walk away right now.

She deserves better. Elisha echoes in the back of his mind.

"Are you here alone?" He sounds desperate to know.

She stares straight into those brown soulful eyes observing him. "Yes." She answers without hesitation.

Be bold Elijah, she's here, she came to you first. "Would you mind joining me for a cup of coffee?"

He tells himself this is for her protection, she has to be protected what better way to do that than by her side.

Bonnie looks around hoping to spot Matt to no unveil he was suppose to be her study buddy for the SAT test. Bonnie shrugs what the hell he seems nice enough. "Why not, you can help me study."

Elijah smiles the first genuine smile in centuries pulling out her chair ready to indulge in her every whim.
