Gustave finished his story and asked "Madame Giry, can I ask you something?"

She looked at the little boy curiously as did everyone else sitting around the table. She answered "Of course dear, you don't have to ask permission to ask me questions."

He smiled at her and nervously asked "Since your close to mother and father, can I consider you and call you my grandmother?"

Erik's lips pulled into a proud and sincere smile as Madame Giry smiled teary eyed. Meg and Christine shared the same smile and they all increased as Madame Giry answered "I would like that Gustave. I would be honored to consider you my grandson."

Gustave got out of his chair and went over to her and hugged her tightly. Madame Giry smiled as she returned the hug, everyone smiled at the exchange and Christine wondered how she got blessed with the sweetest little boy ever.

Erik broke her out of her thoughts as he asked, "Are you all packed and ready to go?"

She answered, "I am packed yes, but I will never be ready to leave your side ever again."

Erik felt the corner of his lips turn into a small smile as he kissed her forehead. He said, "As I will never be ready to see you leave again."

She interlaced her fingers with his as she asked, "You going to be okay by yourself for a week?"

He nodded and answered "I will be fine. I have Squelch, Fleck, Gangle, Meg, Madame Giry and some jobs to do that will keep me busy until you guys return."

She smiled and said "I cannot wait to see what you do with Gustave's room. I am sure it will perfect."

Erik smiled at her and squeezed her hand. Madame Giry asked, "Why don't we take these two to their new living quarters Erik?"

He smirked and answered, "I think that is a splendid idea Madame Giry."

The group stood up and headed to Erik's place with everything they had in their possession when they came. As they walked Erik saw Squelch heading towards them. He said "You guys go ahead and I will meet up with you. I am sure that it is just business and there is no sense for you guys to stand around uncomfortably."

They all nodded and headed into the house while Erik waited patiently for Squelch to reach him. Erik noticed a passing look between Meg and his second in command and he furrowed his brow. He wondered if they had looked at each other like that often. He shook the thought from his head for now as Squelch reached him. The tattooed man said "Everything is ready for tonight. There should be no problems while you are out."

Erik nodded in acceptance and said "Thank you again for this Squelch. I owe you."

The man shook his head and smiled slightly as he answered "It was no problem. And you owe me nothing boss. That is what family is for." Erik smiled and squeezed his shoulder and nodded goodbye as he turned and headed for his house. He entered the house and saw everyone had taken different seats in the sitting room he had designed for guests (like employees or Madame Giry and Meg).

He asked, "Would you like a tour, Christine and Gustave?"

They nodded and stood up and followed Erik leaving Madame Giry and Meg to talk. Erik had a sneaking feeling that Madame Giry was going to address the look that he had noticed himself between Squelch and the younger ballerina.
