A panda slowly walked up to the door of his boss' extravagant manor. He tried, and failed to keep himself from trembling. The courtyard may have only been a few yards long, but the walk from the gate to the door seemed to take hours. Certainly, it was long enough for the panda to consider turning back.

He'd failed to kill Plomistis.

The panda stopped just outside the front door, weighing his options. If he turned and ran now, he'd have a good twelve hours before the boss realised what had happened. He'd be long gone by then.

No. He couldn't do that. If it weren't for the boss he'd still be living on the streets. He owed the boss this much.

With a small sigh the panda pushed the door open. He stepped in and shut it quietly behind him. The walk to the stairs took forever. The walk up the stairs even longer. Time seemed to stop entirely as he arrived at the door to his master's observatory.

The panda knocked.

"Come in."

He reluctantly obliged.

The panda's employer sat next to the fireplace, resting in an extravagant armchair. The carnage from the fight with the Plomistis hadn't been cleared. A cold wind from the broken window played amongst the panda's fur.

"Welcome back Ru. I take it that Plomistis is dead?"

The panda, Ru, hesitated a very brief moment, "Not yet sir." Thank the gods his voice was steady.

"And why is that?"

"Because he's craftier than I had anticipated. Fret not, my men are searching for him as we speak."

The canine made a 'tsk' sound with his mouth, "The problem is, Ru, I am fretting. Do you know how bad it would be for business if the assassination -if you could even call it that- were to be traced back to me?"

"Yes sir."

"And do you realise what bad business for me means for you?"

"Yes sir."

"Then I won't be seeing you again until Plomistis is dead."

"Yes sir."

Ru left the room as quickly as he could. He smiled a bit as he closed the door behind him. That had gone way better than anticipated.

Two days had passed since Lila's miraculous revival, and the school was still in an uproar. Everywhere the purple dragoness went she was mobbed by the other students, bogged down with questions about the attempt on her life; "What was it like being shot?", "What was the other side like?", "How did you come back?". All of these were common questions. None of which Lila had no idea how to answer.

Lila was not fond of this kind of attention, much preferring to be praised for something she actually had control over. After just a couple hours she'd grown sick of the same four or five questions, "Can't they just leave me alone for ten minutes?" She complained to Atash at lunch that afternoon, "It's not like I asked to get shot!"

Atash shrugged, "They're just curious. Spyro probably had to put up this kind of stuff as well."

"Yeah," Lila muttered, "But Spyro actually deserved the attention! I just... I dunno. I didn't actually do anything. It just... happened."

"I'd just woll with it," Suishou said though a mouthful of mutton, "There are dragons who would kill fo this kind of attention."

Atash frowned, "Didn't anyone teach you basic table manners?"

The ice dragoness rolled her eyes, "Whatever."

This argument didn't progress further, for just as Atash was about to retort Kopaka marched into the hall, a grim scowl etched onto his face.

"Attention students!" He shouted, quieting any conversations that hadn't been halted by his arrival, "The other Guardians and I have been talking," He sighed, surprising everyone in attendance with the uncharacteristic gesture, "We don't believe that we are able to keep you safe here any longer."

The hall suddenly erupted with chatter.

Suishou almost choked on her mutton, "He's not sending us home, is he?"

Lila hopped not.

"If I may continue-" Kopaka shouted over the commotion, which then dimmed, albeit only slightly, "We have discussed long how best to continue, and the conclusion that we have come to is that the school must be moved," He sighed again, "We must leave the Temple."

The commotion returned, volume tenfold what it was a moment before. Lila's heart skipped a beat or two. The Dragon Temple had been the only home she'd ever known.

"I know-" Kopaka continued, yelling above the crowd, "-that this may be difficult for some of you, but I assure you, that this is for the best."

Lila had so many questions, she didn't know where to begin. Where on earth could the move the school to? Where was safer than the temple? How were they getting there? When were they leaving? Did this have anything to do with the dream she'd had before dying?

Clearly the purple dragoness wasn't the only one with questions. These and at least half a dozen more bounced around the mess hall. No one seemed happy about the news.

In the entrance, Kopaka was trying to continue his speech, but every time he opened his mouth, he was drowned out by the noise. The Guardian of Ice tried shouting over the commotion, but he was totally ignored. With an exasperated sigh, the blue scaled dragon called upon his elemental powers; a moment later every window and door in the mess hall flew open, blown by a fast, freezing wind. There was a collective yelp of surprise from the assembled party, followed by dead silence.

"Now, if you're all quite finished," Kopaka growled, voice icy as the wind blowing through the hall, "I'm not done yet," With that the freezing winds stopped, but the silence remained, "There's an abandoned university campus in north edge of Volans that, thanks to Kaze, we have been given permission to occupy indefinitely. The C.E.O has also agreed to send 100 of his best soldiers to join our guard. An airship will arrive in five days to transport us and all our cargo to the new campus. Every student is allowed one trunk as cargo. That is all. Thank you for your time."

And with that, the Guardian of Ice turned and walked from the hall.
