This story starts at the end of season 10, and of course as the title suggests it begins 5 years after season 10, of course is the re-write. Just wondering if anyone likes this better than the original one and why? If not how could I possibly improve it?
Chapter 7 - The Babys sex.
Westchester - Monica and Chandlers house
Living room
A week after his accident Joey was finally well enough to be released from the hospital and was allowed to stay with Monica, Chandler and the twins until his leg is better and not broken any more. Monica is in the kitchen making lunch for hey Joey and the twins as Chandler is working. Joey is sitting in the living room on the couch trying to get the t.v remove which is on the coffee table but too far away so that he can't reach it and is struggling quite a lot. Jack and Erica are in the room but they are too busy colouring in their little books to notice that Joey is trying to get the remote. Monica brings in a huge plate of pizza for Joey for his lunch and tells the twins that they have to go and clear away their colouring, wash their hands and go eat up the table, they went and did it as soon as asked. "Mon before you go could you please get me the tv remote I have been trying to get it for 15 minutes but can't reach." Joey asks "Of course. Why didn't you just get one of the twins to get you it?" Monica asked whilst picking up the remote and passing it to him. "I didn't want to disturb them while they were busy." Joey explained as he took the plate and grabbed a slice of pizza then shoved it into his mouth. "This is amazing Mon, where did you get this pizza from?" Joey asked just after swallowing a slice and grabbed another one. "I made it, even the dough and everything. Its so much healthier and easier to make than people actually think." Monica explained. "I actually think that this is the best pizza that I have ever even had. Next Pizza night that everyone is over you have to make it." Joey tells her. "Aww thanks. Now please don't drop anything on the couch or the carpet they are both new." Monica said being usual Monica "I won't go and eat with your kids before the food goes cold." Joey said grabbing his 3rd slice of pizza. Monica walked out of the living room leaving Joey to finish his lunch and to watch his tv show is peace.
Kitchen.
Monica walks back into the kitchen to find the twins sitting at their chairs patiently waiting for their lunch, Monica grabs the plastic plates she still uses for them and takes their pizzas out of the oven and puts their plates in front of them so they can get started on eating it, she then gets her own food and takes it to the table to sit with her children "Mommy, how come we never get to eat on the couch but uncle Joey does?" Jack asks "Remember uncle Joey has a bad leg and he can't move too well." Monica explains to them again for the 4th time this week. "Oh yeah, How long is he staying here?" Erica asked "He is staying as long as he needs to be here. He just needs a little help with some things right now, but don't worry you will get used to it." Monica said to the twins. Chandler comes in from work home early as he usually finishes at lunch time on a Friday. "Hey everyone. Is my lunch in the oven still?" Chandler asked grabbing a plate for himself "Yes it is keeping warm, How was work?" Monica asked "It was fine, you know the usual. We have a new man starting Monday and we have a lot of new commercials coming up soon." Chandler told his wife about his day. "That sounds good then, a lot of work going into that then." Monica said while getting up and putting her and the twins plates in the dishwaser. "Daddy can we go and play with uncle Joey Please." Jack and Erica both asked at the same time. "I don't know if uncle Joey can get on the floor to play with you guys, but you guys can play with me." Chandler explained to them "I guess but we play with you all the time daddy. I am going to get my barbies we can sit on the couch and play them they uncle Joey can play with us all too." Erica said running off to her bedroom to get her barbie dolls so they can all play together. "We always have to play barbies daddy can we not play with my monster trucks instead?" Jack asked getting off his chair whilst walking to the living room with his parents. "We can play with both, but how about barbies first since Erica has already gone to get them." Chandler said trying to let both his kids have what they want so it is fair. "Alright." Jack said.
Living room.
Joey put his plate down on the couch arm since he couldn't reach to put it on the table or get up to put it in the kitchen, as soon as Monica comes in she moves it to the coffee table and this shocks everyone since how clean she likes everything to usually be. "What?" Monica said at everyone looking at her. "You always put it away. never ever leave it there especailly when it isn't clean." Chandler explained "Okay, I was actually going to take it in a minute after Erica came back in." Monica said grabbing the plate and exiting the room as Erica walked in with her arms full of barbie dolls. "Here we go. Dad you can be barbies dad, Jack you are barbies friend, mommy will be barbies sister, uncle Joey can be ken." Erica explained handing everyone a barbie and leaving one on the table for Monica. "No Erica, you can't tell us what to do or be. I am playing monster trucks with daddy and uncle Joey you can play girly barbies with mommy." Jack said being rather mean. "But thats not fair mommy always is busy and never has time to play with me." Erica said running out the room in tears just as Monica walked back into the living room. "Whats wrong with Erica?" Monica asked anyone "Chandler and Jack upset her by telling her that she has to play with you or by herself cause they want to play monster trucks." joey answered "Jack go up to Ericas room and apologise and tell her we will be playing barbies." Monica said in a stern voice "But..." Jack started "No buts just go and do as your told please." Monica interrupted and Jack just stood there and huffed "Go and do it Jack then I shall get you a sweetie later. Jack soon went to do as he was told. "Seriously Chandler, what have I told you before about upsetting her." Monica said "Hey, I said to Jack that we can all play together and play monster trucks later since Erica had already gone to collect the barbie dolls." Chandler said rather upset. "You can't keep bribing him and rewarding him for his bad behaviour all the time, we have this conversation at least twice a week." Monica said "Okay look I am sorry but that poor little cute face he does." Chandler said to her "I don't care, you still need to have resistance." Monica said "Besides you always take Jacks side over mine or Ericas literally all of the time." Monica continued, "When have I ever not taken your side or Ericas." Chandler asks "All the time Chandler its always Jack that you side with, It shows that you have a favourite even though we always said we would ever have any favourites." Monica said "Oh come on. That is so not true" Chandler cried out. "I am always the one to deal with the crap and bad things, yet you always get the good stuff." Monica said "Oh speaking of bad things Erica said she wasn't feeling well earlier." Joey said butting in "Great something else I have to deal with I suppose." Monica said grumpily. "I guess you need to take her to the doctors again then." Chandler said "Why don't you take her. She is your child too you know, besides I have lots of things to do already without having to take Erica to the doctors too." Monica said "Oh come on, she likes you better its so obvious." Chandler said back "No shes a daddies girl you can totally tell. She always comes to you for advice or when she is upset or not feeling well. Even when shes perfectly fine and nothing is wrong she wants cuddles from you, she never asks me for them." Monica said making her point clear "Fine, I will take her on Monday if she is still sick." Chandler said backing down giving in. "Before I forget could you possibly take care of the twins on Tuesday Joey, I have a doctors appointment?" Monica asked "Of course, I am sure they will be no trouble." Joey said he always loves taking care of his god-children when he can and is allowed. "Thank you, I appreciate it lots." Monica said "Wait a minute I thought we were going to that appointment together." Chandler said "We can but you didn't know whether you could get it off work or not." Monica told him "I will get it off, I will do everything I can to." Chandler said as Jack and Erica came back into the living room clearly they have resolved their problem. "Sit down please you two. Uncle Joey is going to be looking after you on Tuesday so you both have to be very good and on your best behaviour since he is still having a bad leg." Chandler tells them. "Yes we will make sure that we are good." Jack said.
Tuesday - Doctors office
Monica and Chandler are in the doctors room waiting for the doctor to come back into them so they can get on with doing the ultrasound so they can see their baby again and hopefully get to know the sex of their little miracle. "So you definitely want to know the sex right?" Monica asks Chandler. "Yes I am sure. We need to know so we can buy things for him or her although I think it is a girl" Chandler replies "You can't be too sure it is 50/50 chance Chandler." Monica said reminding him that it could be a boy rather than a girl. "I just think she will look just like you though." Chandler said just before the doctor came in to see them. "We got the test results back and everything seems to be going very well with the baby, everything is growing perfectly and just at the right rate and time." Doctor Long said as Monica and Chandler let out a breath of relief. "Now you wanted to find out the sex?" Doctor Long asked them "Yes we certainly do." Monica replies lying down on the bed so that doctor long could easily put the gel and wand on her stomach to see the baby and find out. "It looks as though you will be having a baby girl." Doctor Long announces. "See I told you" was the first thing to come out of Chandlers mouth.
Monica and Chandlers house
Living room
The whole gang are at Monica and Chandlers house talking about their days and stuff. "So guys how do you like Doctor Long?" Rachel asked "Yeah shes great, thanks for recommending her to us." Monica said "It is no problem. Did you guys find out the sex?" Rachel asked "They did." Joey answered for them. "Hey how did you know?" Chandler said "I heard you talking about it earlier." Joey said "Are you telling the twins later on about the brother or sister?" Ross said "Yeah we are telling them later that they are getting a baby sister." Chandler said they were all met with replies of "Wow" "Thats great" "I'm getting a niece." "Its great isn't it, I can't wait until she is born. She is going to look just like Mon." Chandler said. "I guess we should be going now since we have to get Emma from my mom and get her food ready." Ross said as they all got up and left saying goodbye. "I have to go too, I need to pick up Mike." Phoebe said whilst saying goodbye to everyone.
