A/N: ...* PLO = Planet Trade Organization

Goku teleported a small distance away from Vegeta's energy signature, materializing a fair distance from the Royal Palace.

It was as large as he first remembered seeing it when he and the prince crashed onto the planet.

"Hm. I better not interrupt whatever he's doing. Might as well check in later."

With that, Goku placed his fingers over his forehead once again, materializing in front of Bardock, miles away.

"I need to learn how to do that," Goku's father muttered, brushing past Goku before taking off into the air, followed by his son and Gine. They would head towards the Science Division building, where the Space Pods were located. The flight only took moments before all three touched down in the launch bay.

"Take a spacepod and just tell it to follow me," Bardock instructed his son before getting into his own pod, followed by Gine getting into hers.

-Fast Forward 45 minutes-

The three pods landed on alien flatlands with no apparent hostile presence nearby.

Gine was already out of her pod, having been standing in front of a nearby tree, that reminded Goku of the palm trees at Master Roshi's Island. Getting out of his pod, which was a weird experience, as he hadn't been in one since he was a baby, he was hit with a sudden wave of sadness. As fun as it was to meet his parents and go on this adventure, he really missed his wife and children. Loosening the kinks in his neck and shoulders, he jogged over to the tree his parents were waiting for him by.

"Ok, so what do we have to do? You said a retrieval mission?"

"Yeah. The Planet Trade organization is unstable at the moment, and one of the outposts for some crap I don't care about is here," Bardock explained, making a hand gesture, signaling his wife and son to take cover by the tree they were near. On a hunch, Goku looked up to the sky, searching for a moon of some sort.

Sighing in relief, there were no nearby moons. At least he wouldn't have to worry about his parents turning into Great Apes anytime soon.

"What's the "Planet Trade Organization"?" Goku queried, slowly moving closer to his parents.

Bardock looked at his son with a jaded expression on his face. "You never heard of-?" Bardock cut himself off, exhaling to calm himself. "It was the organization Frieza headed. He sold planets for profit."

Goku remembered King Kai telling him something similar to that and decided not to push the subject further. So Bardock was tasked with stealing something from Frieza's organization? That seemed simple enough.

"Got any idea what it is we're stealing?"

Bardock looked away from his son and back towards the small squad of alien troopers that were a fair distance from them. They wore armor similar to what the Ginyu force and many Saiyans are seen with. Bardock and his family were hidden by the large tree and a cliff overhang, so they wouldn't have to worry about being spotted as long as they weren't careless.

"Blueprints for a Warp Driver Engine. The Science Departments wants to make more spaceships for Saiyan Crews rather than just space pods," the father explained after a small pause of reading new data on his scouter.

Warp Driver? Goku frowned in concentration. That definitely sounded like something Vegeta had mentioned to him before. And it does make things go very fast if his father's explanation was anything to go by. Maybe it would be useful to get those blueprints to Vegeta.

"Could you use your teleporting trick to get to the blueprints?" Bardock asked him. Goku shook his head.

"I can't. It only works if I'm homing in on an energy signature. I'll have no idea where I'm going."

"Hm. Looks like we'll be doing this the fun way then!"

Goku frowned as Bardock leaped from the cliff and headed towards the PLO* Milita soldiers. He really wasn't comfortable with his father taking aggressive action against those guys, even if they had been working for Frieza, but he knew there was nothing he could do about that. It wasn't his place to try to stop Bardock from attacking them. Hopefully, he could gradually convince him to not be as murderous as he already is, but it'd be inappropriate to work on that this very moment. Instead he glanced over to his mother who was watching Bardock intently as he closed in on the militia.

"You remember how to sense others' energy?" He asked, standing up and getting ready to head towards the outpost.

"Um, yeah," she replied, steeling her resolve. Goku nodded, leading the way, as his mother followed behind him.

Mother and son made several large leaps toward the outpost building before Ki blasts began to rain toward them like oversized, ball shaped arrows.

"Remember, Sensing energy goes for energy blasts as well!" Goku shouted to his mother, as he skillfully leaped sideways, then in varying directions, as blasts rained around him, but never hitting him. Zeroing in on an origin point, he found at least four soldiers, varying between infantry who were launching Ki blasts and others that were using some sort of gun contraption.

All of their energy signatures were painfully low, at least compared to him. To make this interesting, he suppressed his own power level, enough to still outclass them, but also so he wouldn't accidentally murder any of them. Just because his parents were space pirates didn't mean he was going to follow their example.

"There they are! Get them!" One of the soldiers yelled, thrusting his open palm forward and launching a beam of brilliant yellow. It pierced through the air, generating a strange buzzing sound, but Goku evaded it easily, ascending higher into the sky while flying directly next to the slowly dissipating beam. With a grunt, he thrust his own palm forward, launching several Ki balls simultaneously.

The lead soldier, a orange skinned brute with a flat, angular face, deflected the balls of Ki easily, laughing all the while.

"Ha, what a weak attack!" he shouted, a bead of sweat trailing down his forehead. Once the light dimmed from the deflected energy attacks, he realized his mistake.

Those energy blasts were distractions.

There was a whistle of air, as a tall man in Saiyan armor and wild hair materialized behind him.

"Yo!" He yelled, before pushing his foot forward, kicking the brute in the back and knocking him unconscious almost instantly. The two soldiers that were on either side of their now incapacitated commander, quickly created distance between themselves and the strangely cheerful Warrior.

"It's one of those Saiyans! There's bound to be more of 'em!"

The soldier's evaluation was proven correct as another warrior, this time a woman, dashed in through the air, punching him in the gut, doubling him over. Before he could realize what had hit him, a double-fisted smash left him a half-dead tangle of limbs on the ground that he was launched onto.

Goku had the impression that Gine was a pacifist for some reason.

That assumption was proven incorrect.

"Crap!" the remaining alien, thinner than the other two, but by no means scrawny, shouted, indignant.

"Ready for yours!?" Gine asked in excitement, readying a Ki blast with her right hand.

The soldier smiled conspiratorially. Gine raised an eyebrow at his sudden confidence.

She doesn't see my backup right above her! The alien reflected inwardly. Sure enough, the other soldier that both Gine and Goku had overlooked was closing in on the female warrior.

Back flipping while still airborne, Gine's booted foot made contact with the would be ambusher's head, snapping his neck. He fell to the ground, dead before he hit it.

Goku made a face at the display of aggression, but forced himself not to say anything. Now was not the time.

Before he would witness more of Gine's apparent aggression in battle, he rushed towards the startled remaining soldier, delivering a non-fatal chop to his neck. Gine watched him fall to the ground, growling in irritation.

"I would have had him you know!"

Goku began to resume flight towards the outpost at this point, in which Gine followed close behind.

"Uh, yeah!" Goku forced a laugh, not entirely pleased with the outcome of the little skirmish. The Saiyan lifestyle was very different from Earth's. He'd learned that a long time ago when he first met Raditz. He'd have to stomach this for the time being, as much as it bothered him to see his mother killing someone and not seeming to be bothered by it. His parents were Saiyans after all, he thought with a displeased expression, making sure that Gine didn't see his scowl.

"Did you see that? I saw him coming from a mile away!"

"Huh?" Goku's thoughts were interrupted by Gine's exclamation. "Yeah! Great job!" he congratulated, smiling sincerely at her before looking forward again, his face becoming serious again just as quickly. He'd try to minimize damage as much as he could, hoping they'd find the darned Warper Driving thing quick.

A/N: ...So a small combat scene. The next chapter will have a Truck-Load of combat as that wasn't nearly all of the soldiers. Gine will be killing more people, lol. She may be nicer than most, but she's still born from a race of Planet Pirating Space Warriors. Don't worry, I'm trying to flesh out these character personalities, as Bardock, Gine, and Queen Okra need more character development.

P.S. :Be brutally honest with your reviews and Feedback, and give suggestions on anything that you believe would add to the story and I may consider it! 'Till next chapter!
