A/N: ...What do you guys think of a Ki suppression device being built? I won't tell you who would plan to use such a device, but Goku and Vegeta would be affected by it. It'd be some sort of Field Generator that lowers your Ki to a set amount if your inside of it. Please let me know what you think in the Reviews! Also, give me honest Feedback of this chapter. I really want to improve this story!

Vegeta entered the throne room without so much as knocking. As he stepped inside, the Queen had her chin resting on her knuckle while she sat on the throne with one leg crossed over the other.

"You weren't required to be here until tomorrow."

"I got impatient," he retorted, coming to a stop at the base of the steps leading to the throne. He crossed his arms, not breaking his glare for a second. The Queen didn't back down either, but sighed as though tired of his presence.

"I'm busy. Come back tomorrow," she decided, looking away imperiously.

A dismissal, but Vegeta wasn't going to simply be dismissed. He'd been on the surface of this rock long enough.

"If you want to master becoming a Super Saiyan, it's going to be on my terms," he asserted. As expected the Queen scowled before standing up.

"And what gives you the right to make demands?"

"We already know you're outclassed. The only reason I played along with your silly game is so you wouldn't get embarrassed. Now you're just testing my patience."

Vegeta smirked at his mother's irritation. As much as he missed seeing his home planet again, he wasn't enjoying his stay as much as Kakarot apparently was. He wasn't that close to his mother in childhood, at least not as much as his father, who just happened to die shortly before he and the younger Saiyan arrived. That didn't make him necessarily excited to be there.

"You've certainly inherited your father's immature temper," Okra spoke aloud offhandedly, her shoulders shaking slightly from laughing.

Vegeta's smirk dropped instantly. "What'd you say?" he demanded, somewhat at a loss for words. "What are you-"

"Oh, please, it's painfully obvious. You're a shorter carbon copy of your father!" Okra sighed, pressing a thumb and knuckle to her forehead.

"You knew?" Vegeta asked after a pregnant pause. Okra looked down her nose at her son, who had uncrossed his arms.

"There's no other reasonable explanation," she argued, walking down the steps and coming to a stop in front of him. She had to look upwards slightly to make eye contact.

"How did you go Super Saiyan?" She queried, bringing the subject back to the topic of the day. Vegeta blinked, breaking eye contact before reestablishing it.

"I'll teach you how to ascend, but first, tell me, what do you plan to do with the transformation?"

Okra shook her head then turned her back to him. "I'm not inclined to reveal that to you."

Vegeta already had an idea, and her response only confirmed it.

"Then promise me you will stay away from the Northern quadrant of the galaxy," Vegeta insisted. Okra turned her head enough to regard his expression, staying silent for just a few seconds. What was so important about the Northern Galaxy?

"Alright then. I'll stay away from there. Now teach me the form!" She agreed impatiently, turning back around and planting her feet into a battle stance. Vegeta exhaled, clearing his mind of the ridiculousness of the situation.

After facing the four PTO soldiers, Goku and Gine descended onto the ground again, making sure to take cover from stray Ki blasts from any ambushers. It was mostly for Gine's benefit, since pretty much anyone in this region of space wouldn't be able to harm Goku. They took shelter in a shallow cave lined by mountainous canyons. The outpost was much closer, and it would be nigh impossible for scouters to spot them.

"It'd probably be a good idea to wait for dad to catch up before we go in further," Goku suggested, looking distracted as he did so. He was looking towards the direction of the Outpost, a large building surrounded by spires that looked like watch towers. His eyes were narrowed as he kept tabs on nearby energy signatures so that neither he or his mother wouldn't be blindsided.

"How come you aren't taking these guys out when you have the chance?" Gine began, seemingly not acknowledging Goku's advice.

"Huh?" Goku finally stopped concentrating when he was confident that there would be no ambushers. He turned to his mother to give her his undivided attention.

"What do you mean?" He blinked, not having processed the question. He sat down on the ground, resting his back against a rocky wall.

Gine made a face at Goku's seeming absent-mindedness. Not because she was annoyed, but because now she could see what Bardock meant by her looking "air headed" at times.

"I mean, you didn't kill any of those soldiers. They might jeopardize the mission later," she clarified, placing her hands behind her head as she paced around the small space the cave afforded them.

"What would be the point? I don't have a vendetta against them or anything," Goku replied without hesitation, an arm resting on an bent knee. He wasn't looking at Gine, but idly surveying the rocky landscape that was across from the cave's mouth. Gine made an acknowledging sound, not quite understanding Kakarot's reasoning.

"But if the tables were turned, they wouldn't bother sparing us," she argued, somewhat jealous of Goku's carefree demeanor in a combat zone. She didn't show it, but she was somewhat nervous and jumpy since she hadn't been in the field for at least two years. It was refreshing to be in battle again though, and her son's quick training on Ki sensing helped a lot.

That's not the point," Goku said in response to her statement, still not having broken his gaze from the outside view. "I don't care about killing opponents. Fighting stronger opponents is what I live for," he added with a smile. That and his family back in his own time, whom he was sure were okay, but he was worried just the same. However, he was confident that Gohan could hold the fort until he and Vegeta found a way back home.

The time traveling Saiyan turned his head towards Gine, who had been staring at his reflective expression. She looked away the moment he gazed at her questioningly.

"Did you want to say something?" Goku ventured, Standing up, but still leaning on the wall.

Gine shook her head, but figured she'd have to think on Kakarot's words. Gine wasn't as abrasive as many Saiyans go outside of combat, but she was no stranger to war. But a Saiyan that didn't kill their enemies? It just sounded a bit...farfetched.

"I think Bardock's ready. There's no other energy signatures near him," Gine reported aloud after sensing her husband's Ki spike deliberately. Goku acknowledged with a nod, the first to take off in the air.

Once they both were airborne, Goku slowed down slightly to fly next to his mother.

"You go on ahead," the Son warrior insisted. "I'll take care of these guys. I wouldn't know where to look to find the Warping Driver-thingamajig," he said, completely serious. Gine saved her son of the embarrassment of his word fumbling by simply nodding and speeding ahead towards the outpost.

As he had predicted, a wave of soldiers began to materialize, apparently coming in droves from the outpost itself. It numbered easily in the dozens.

Not wasting any time, Goku shot both hands forward, launching barrages of fist sized Ki balls towards the wave, which seemed to go in all directions ahead of him. As they were purposefully low-powered, they served as a distraction for his mother to bypass the off-guard soldiers. He exhaled in relief, noticing that none of them noticed his mother still heading towards their command post.

"It's only one Saiyan! He can't possibly take on all of us!" shouted one officer, apparently the commander of the large platoon. He looked very different from the officer Goku fought earlier, as this one was more humanoid in appearance. His skin was a tanned orange and his hair a darker shade of red. If anything, he somewhat resembled Zarbon. He didn't look nearly as flashy, as he wore a full body suit under his standard officer armor which lacked shoulder cones.

His men seemed to gain a little confidence at the officer's words. However, a stare down ensued, in which neither party made the first move. Goku remained still from his position in the air, arms at his side.

Commander Usho couldn't help but sweat a bit. Saiyans were known to all soldiers of the Planet Trade Organization as battle hungry and prone to violence, but the one standing before them seemed totally calm. Needless to say, this unnerved him quite a bit.

Goku raised his fists to waist level and the soldiers that surrounded him tensed up instantly. Usho, to his credit, remained more level-headed, attempting to analyze the situation.

He has quite a high power level of 7900, higher than my own of 7600, but he can't possibly take down such a large crew, he figured, having scanned the Saiyan before them with his state-of-the-art Scouter. Besides, the Saiyan attacker's power level was higher than his by only 300 units, but he had numbers on his side.

"Men!" he shouted with authority. "Attack full force!" He thrust his palm in the direction of wild haired man and the scene broke out into chaos. His soldiers flooded towards the Saiyan Warrior, Usho's vision of him even temporarily been blocked.

Goku on the other hand, was having a great time. As the soldiers came pouring after him, he used their massive numbers against them, weaving through the crowd effortlessly and attacking anyone who came to close to his back. He immobilized them with chops to the neck, incapacitating Ki blasts to their sides, and kicks to the chest.

Pivoting sideways, Goku evaded two soldiers, either one coming towards his front and rear, causing them to collide with each other. Using one of them as a stepping stone, he jumped thrust backwards, elbowing another soldier in the sternum, careful not to use overwhelming force. The hapless victim however was still blasted backwards by the sheer force colliding with four of his comrades and putting them out of commission. Goku smiled at the scene, turning his attention back to his front.

The remaining men were gawking at him as though he grew a second head.

"What?" he asked aloud, turning his head behind him.

There was already a crowd of soldiers unconscious on the ground below, knocked out by yours truly.

Man, these guys are weak, Goku thought with a small pang of irrational guilt. Even with his power suppressed, he was essentially curbstomping them.

"Don't worry, they're not dead!" Goku explained, feeling that he somehow had to explain his actions, waving his hands in front of him in a disarming gesture.

"This guy, he's extremely strong!" one of the soldiers whispered harshly to another, followed by a hushed murmur of agreement from several others. Usho was having quite enough of his platoon being humiliated by this buffoon.

"Enough! You fighting me now! I won't suffer this injustice!" the PTO commander gestured, floating farther in front of his still conscious subordinates. Goku's face became serious again and his arms slowly dropped to his sides.

"I won't kill you, but I can't promise you won't be hurting quite a bit after this," the turtle style master warned.

"You're bluffing. You're power level is comparable to mine," Usho retorted smartly. His bravado dampened slightly when Goku simply smiled conspiratorially. He dashed forward, almost catching Usho unawares, the Saiyan's knee cross arm blocked. Usho could feel the force of the kick reverberate through his bones, glad that he guarded in time. Goku retreated backwards, reestablishing space between them.

A/N: Wanted to cut if off there since I was short on time, lol. Will continue next chapter.

...The commander that Goku fights in this chapter could be the same race as Zarbon. The name "Usho" is derived from the same name "Zarbon" is from, which is the Pomelo fruit. Didn't want you to think I just pulled some Japanese name out of my behind or anything.

P.S. :Be brutally honest with your reviews and Feedback, and give suggestions on anything that you believe would add to the story and I may consider it! 'Till next chapter!
