Without thinking, Celeste's hands go up against Dean's chest. "Whoa, you scared me!" she gasps.
"Sorry." Dean says. "I was just coming to get you because we got a promo to shoot."
"Where's Seth?" Celeste inquires. "He always comes to get me."
"He got a phone call." Dean explains. As they walk he says, "I couldn't help but overhear you and John."
Celeste sighs. "I know you think I'm crazy…."
Dean cuts her off, "You're right. Us all working together has been good for all of us." He slips his arm around her shoulders and whispers, "I do kinda enjoy having an annoying older sister."
She laughs. "Thanks."
John approaches Celeste after the Shield's match. "We can talk things over on the plane home." he says.
"I don't wanna go with you." she replies. "I'll take a red eye to Knoxville."
"Darlin' please." John pleads. "We've had fights before, but you said yourself…" He tilts her face to look into her eyes. "We shouldn't try to fall asleep angry."
"Okay." she sighs. "Let's go."
"You were looking out for Seth, and I thought I was looking out for you." John explains.
"John, I don't mind you looking out for me." Celeste says. "It's the fact that you don't listen to me. Instead you do what you think is right for me."
"No I don't!" he objects.
"Yes, you do!" she insists. "You didn't ask me how I felt about wrestling full time again. You just went to Stephanie and said I should do it." She looks into his eyes. "And you're taking over our wedding plans."
John looks disgusted. "What?! Well what is it that you want?"
"You know what I want." Celeste says. "What's wrong with premarital counseling? We can do it on Wednesdays."
"We don't need that!" he responds.
"Clearly we do with the way we are currently arguing." Celeste indicates.
John hangs his head and goes quiet for a long moment. Finally he looks lifts his head, but avoids eye contact. "You want the truth?" he says in a low voice.
"Of course I do." she answers.
"If we get married at the church…" He takes a deep breath and faces her. "It will be the first ceremony you've attended there since you mom's memorial."
"But it's not the first time I would be going back there. I mean we were gonna go to bible study a few weeks ago. And I've been on a few Sunday mornings." Celeste explains.
"I know that. But memorials and weddings are different. Already not having her with us is gonna hurt. Do you really wanna risk upsetting yourself even more?" he asks.
Celeste voice cracks as she says, "If I can't have my mother at my wedding, shouldn't I at least get every thing else that I want about my special day?"
John hangs his head and sighs. For a moment he feels guilty. The truth was that he knew Celeste probably wouldn't fall apart, but he dreaded the thought anyway.
He looks into her eyes. "You're right. How many weeks of counseling will it have to be?"
"Six weeks." Celeste answers.
"Then we can still keep our original wedding date. Why don't you call Pastor Mac in the morning about setting it up?"
A big smile spreads across Celeste face. "You're really okay with this?"
John smiles back. "I'll do whatever it takes to put that look on your face."
She pulls him into a kiss. "Thank you."
"I love you." he says, before kissing her again. His hands slides down her side and heads toward her thigh.
She jerks it away. "Hey, we know when it's going to happen now. You've waited this long, you can wait a bit longer."
He groans. "You drive me crazy. But I believe it'll be worth it."
Celeste got counseling sessions set up with her pastor, starting the following week. That weekend she and John were back to travel separately. The Shield stopped at a bar and grill to eat after the Saturday night show. Celeste stares at Dean in a corner flirting with a blonde. "You really do feel like his big sister, don't you?" Seth asks.
Celeste sighs. "Yeah. I mean I know he wasn't raised with proper values. I just hate seeing him not try to develop them now."
"Maybe you are having some kinda influence on him." Roman suggests.
"This is the first time he's wandered off from us since you've been around."
Seth chuckles. "Yeah, he used to run off quite often if we weren't watching him."
Celeste gets up and approaches Dean and the blonde. "It's time to go." she says softly, but firmly.
Dean glares at her. "I'm capable of getting myself to the next show, thank you."
Celeste takes a deep breath. "I'm sure you are, but we're a team." she says, gesturing toward Roman and Seth.
"He's a grown man and you're not his mother, so back off!" the blonde says.
Celeste feels herself becoming frustrated, "Help me." she prayers silently. She looks the woman in the eyes and says, "No, I'm not his mother, but I care about him. And think he shouldn't degrade you-and himself."
Dean rolls his eyes. The blonde snaps, "Degrade? What are you some kind of prude?"
Before Celeste can respond, Seth intervenes. "Let's just go. If Dean wants to be with her then let him." he says.
Fighting her frustration, Celeste bites her bottom lip and storms away.
After settling into her motel room, Celeste intended to change into her pajamas and relax. However, she can't shake that she should do something about the situation.
She goes to Seth's room and bangs on the door. When he answers, his muscular torso is in Celeste's eye-line. She is surprised by the sight and finds herself unable to look away. "Hey." he says.
Finally, she blinks. "Hey..hi…um" she stammers. Forcing herself to look into his eyes, she asks, "Can I have the keys to the car, please?"
Seth walks over the bed and begins putting on his shirt and shoes. "You're not going back there alone." he says, softly.
Dean sees Seth and Celeste walking toward him. "You gotta be kiddin' me!" he exclaims.
"The fact that you and…"Celeste looks at the blonde, "What's your name, honey?"
"Melanie." the blonde answers.
"The fact that you and Melanie are still here makes me think deep down that something is telling you this is wrong." Celeste says, with a slight smile.
"Like what?" Melanie snaps. "God?"
"Actually, yes." Celeste answers.
Melanie rolls her eyes. "I don't need this." she tells Dean. "If you wanna go with the holy-roller, go ahead."
"Hey." Dean retorts. "She may be annoying, but she's my friend. Don't be dissing her."
Melanie groans and stands. "Whatever! I'm outta here!"
"Wait a second, please." Celeste pleads. She pulls a piece of paper and pen out of her purse and writes. "Do you have internet access?"
"Yes." Melanie answers.
Celeste hands her the paper. "Do yourself a favor and look up these women." she says sweetly.
Melanie snatches the paper from Celeste's hand and dashed off in a huff.
Seth, Celeste and Dean head back to the motel. "What did you give her?" Dean asks.
"The names of a couple of evangelists whose testimonies I have a feeling are similar to hers." Celeste explains.
"Are you gonna do that with every girl I flirt with?" Dean inquires.
Celeste turns to face him and smiles. "Well, I'm your 'annoying older sister.' So it's kinda my job to make sure you're picking the right kinda women."
Seth sees the look of scorn on Dean's face in the rearview mirror and laughs.
As they stand around on the night of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. "You cool with me borrowing your girl for my match, Seth?" Dean teases.
"Since the boss told her she has to go out with you, I don't have much choice." Seth responds.
"Am I allowed to have feelings about it?" Celeste asks.
"Tiny, you know you wanna be there to protect Dean from any crazy fan girls when he wins." Roman jokes.
Celeste nods. "Very true. Oh I just remembered, I finally have come up with nicknames for you guys."
"Uh oh." Dean responds.
She points at him. "You, oh sly one, are "Foxy."
He raises an eyebrow. "I like it."
She turns to Roman. "How do you feel about "Panther?" I mean, these two have called you "Big Cat."
"Works for me." Roman answers.
"And what am I?" Seth asks.
"You get to choose from two." she explains. "You can either be a part of the animal kingdom with them, and be spider monkey. Or you can be my ninja."
"Ninja!" Roman and Dean proclaim.
"Definitely "Ninja." Seth states.
The Shield's music hits, Roman and Seth only accompany Dean and Celeste to the top of the stairs, then turn back.
Celeste kisses Dean on the cheek and says, "Get him, Foxy." She cheers Dean on and chastises Kofi Kingston. Once Dean gets the win, she squeals and rushes into the ring. Roman and Dean appear shortly after to join the celebration.
When Seth is momentarily down, Celeste inserts herself into the Tornado Tag Team match. She climbs on to the apron and grabs Kane's arm, as he prepares to choke slam Roman. This provides a distraction long enough for Roman to take out Daniel. Seth recovers and takes out Kane with a diving high knee off the top turnbuckle. "That's my ninja!" Celeste cheers! Seth and Roman become the new tag team champions and Celeste, followed by Dean hit the ring. The three men hold up their championship titles as Celeste presents them. "My boys!" she proudly tells the crowd.
After he showers, Seth joins Celeste in watching John and Ryback's Last Man Standing match on a monitor. "From the look on your face, I gather it's pretty intense."
She looks at him only for a second, "Yeah. Pretty nerve wracking."
She gasps when Ryback slams John into the electronically lit wall on the stage.
"Oh geez!" Seth exclaims.
The camera finally pans to showing both men down. The referee calls for medics.
"Oh my gosh." Celeste whimpers, covering her face.
Seth wraps his arm around her shoulders. "I'm sure it's gonna be okay." he declares.
She shakes her head. "John would have told me if this was planned."
